AMBIENT/POST-ROCK. Sprouting from the same mind that created THE BOOKS, ZAMMUTO marks a deep reinvention of the highly detailed, genre-defying spirit that made seminal albums. Given THE BOOKS' success as an experimental collage-pop project, founder Nick Zammuto could have comfortably extended that thread. Instead he has given us a record that is progressive and forward-looking, intense and driven, with hugely varied rhythms and melodies. The whispered, folksy vocals that became a trademark of THE BOOKS are for the most part shed in favor of an uncharacteristically confident, soaring delivery, often fueled by a wide array of vocal effects. The result is a man-machine sensitivity that ultimately enhances the songs' emotional intensity. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

METALCORE. The original 1996 recording of the debut full-length from ZAO. There exists a small pocket of hardcore kids who will insist that one of ZAO's earliest lineups was their best, despite later incarnations' popularity. "all else failed" is chunky, heavy, and pummeling and derivative of the metalcore style initiated by EARTH CRISIS and maintained at the time of this album's release by STRIFE and other hardcore groups. This record released by Steadfast earned ZAO the attention of Tooth & Nail Records, who signed them to a multi-album deal. Remastered and available for the 1st time on vinyl.

METALCORE. Pulled from the same sessions as 2016's "the well-intentioned virus", ZAO's 5-song MLP, "pyrrhic victory", is the 3rd release on the band's own Observed/Observer Recordings. Hardly a collection of b-sides, this short/no-frills attack was put together with as much care as an album. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/METALCORE. In 1995, Zao released their 1st album, "all else failed", on Steadfast Records. Never a band to repeat a past success and always searching for new boundaries to push within their own music, "the well-intentioned virus" finds ZAO utilizing just as many familiar touchstones from their catalog as introducting new ones. Dense and clastrophobic one moment, beautiful and spacious the next. Vinyl comes in an eyecatching gatefold-cover and includes a digital download card.

METALCORE. Previously released in 2015 in a limited edition run of 600, this new pressing of 1000 is on black vinyl with all-new cover art by Matt Kerley (who did 2016's "the well-intentioned virus"). Contains an early mix of "xenophobe" and the track "fear itself", which is exclusive to this release. Vinyl includes a digital download and a guitar pick as a gimmick.

HARDCORE. "violent noiz life" is exponentially better than the demo, both in recording and sound quality. If you've never heard the band, it's comprised of members of some of the only interesting raw-punk bands to have existed in the U.S. in recent times. This 7" is GLOOM worship/crasher crust done right. One could say that ZATSUON crashes harder than most crasher crust bands, particularly in the way in which they don't just fall into the lazy trap of sounding like straight DISCHARGE-style d-beat. Combine that with noisy, yet discernible riffs and one of the most recognizable voices in the genre and we've got yet another instant, modern classic record from NYC.

PUNK-ROCK. ZEBRASSIERES is fashionably good, fashionably stylish, and fashionably unforgettable. This relatively unheard of Ottawa band popped out of a few different networks sometime in 2008. They created a style and a sound of their own. A 4 piece setup, guitar, bass, farfisa organ, and drums, shared vocals, huge hooks, awesome singing, and great melodies. The songwriting is somewhere between new-wave, pop-punk and straight ahead punk. This album marks their first 8 songs ever to see the light of day. Recognizable similarities tie them to bands like the OKOMONIKS, the DICKIES, DEVO, and the SPITS. Limited european one-sided LP repress of their sold-out debut, originally released on Going Gaga Records in 2010. Remastered and housed in a silkscreen sleeve and new artwork!

PUNK 'N' ROLL. Seattle, punk legends ZEKE returns with their 1st new album in over 14 years entitled "hellbender". Short, fast, loud, and to the fuckin' point, "hellbender" contains 15 tracks laced with ZEKE's signature mix of hyperspeed thrash-punk and MOTÖRHEAD-possessed, hard-as-nails rock 'n' roll. Complete with raucous, in-your-face production, "hellbender" is the culmination of a band 25 years into their career, sounding more aggressive, immediate, and turbo-charged than ever before. Colored (orange) vinyl includes a digital download card.

Here you'll find influences that flow between the likes of MY BLOODY VALENTINE (emotional), NINE INCH NAILS (industrial), PELICAN (ambience), and PINK FLOYD (cosmic). Vinyl includes a digital download card with 2 additional tracks.

GARAGE/PUNK-ROCK. The garage kraut sultans ZENTRALHEIZUNG OF DEATH slam their debut album onto our planet! Tied deep in the garage, the love to shift your grooves with noncyclical waving instro sound-convoys back to a furious attacks of hypnotic, guitar punches and catchy choruses and freight train bass lines. Imagine ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT get pulled in the gutter by MAN OR ASTROMAN. KING TUFF commanding a cobainy submarine and the OH SEES' are detailed doin' service in the engine room. In a nutshell, just put TY SEGALL downhill on a bike with no brakes.

STREET/OI-PUNK. This is a posthumous release by a band that was somehow overlooked in their prime. Thankfully, with a great resurgence with this genre of music, ZERO 1 is now due it's time in the spotlight. From Yorkshire, England, the band played a great, aggressive style of punked-up oi music and only packed it in when the drummer moved to Austraila, where he went on to play with RAZORCUT. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.
