MELODIC-HARDCORE. WESTERN ADDICTION broke onto the scene with unyielding fury over a decade ago with their hardcore debut "cognicide". Now, 12 years later, WESTERN ADDICTION is back with a new album brimming with the same hardcore, explosive fervor they have become known for. Despite the time and distance between albums, "tremulous" picks up right where "cognicide" left us. Older, wiser, but still just as pissed off. The 11 tracks that comprise "tremulous" reach a new, melodic hardcore level. At long last it can be said: WESTERN ADDICTION is back. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

INDIE-POP. Following the release of their 2015 debut on Run For Cover, WESTKUST presents the reissue of their 2012 MLP, "junk". These 4 tracks show off the band's noisy, fast, indie-pop style in a looser, less-refined fashion than on their full-length, but this raw sound is a reward for any listener. The songwriting of the band's 1st release is still fascinatingly intricate: the expertly crafted vocal melodies are a never-ending delight, only matched by the fuzzy, jangly guitar riffs and groovy bass lines you won't be able to get out of your head. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

INDIE-POP. "last forever" is the perfect introduction to WESTKUST, Gothenburg, Sweden's latest indie-pop export. Sharing members and undoubtable influences with fellow hometown post-punks MAKTHAVERSKAN, WESTKUST offers a dreamy take on noise-pop with finesse. It's impossible to feel down while listening to these 9 songs: the deceptively simple, pop formula is an undeniably epic soundtrack to your perfect day. Colored vinyl version includes digital download.

EMO/POP-PUNK. On their Triple-B Records debut, "dive", Wilked-Barre's WESTPOINT delivers a modern take on the snotty, alt-rock bands like SUPERCHUNK and PIEBALD. Through 5 songs on this LP, angst and indecisiveness echo through the distortion and reverb-soaked guitars to demonstrate that although WESTPOINT is a young band, their songs ache with the maturity and finesse of veterans. Features members of UNITED YOUTH. One-sided vinyl includes a digital download card and a blank b-side.

EMO/POP-PUNK. Hailing from the hometown of TITLE FIGHT, Kingston, WESTPOINT delivers their debut full-length, a 10-track LP of '90s-inspired melodic punk-rock in the vein of bands like SAMIAM and SEAWEED, following in the footsteps of many of the other contemporary bands delivering the same style like TURNOVER and SUPERHEAVEN. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE-PUNK. NY's WET SPECIMENS return with their 1st vinyl release featuring 5 songs of raging dark hardcore-punk that sound like a basement show in a haunted house. Taking hints from Japanese hardcore and mixing it with death-rock melodies - if your familiar with the japanese THE EXECUTE releases you'll get an idea. The tempo varies between a manic rush and lumbering lows, with guitars lending an odd musicality to the otherwise chaotic and harsh rhythm section, and cavernous vocals. Vinyl comes housed in silk-screened covers.

POST-HARDCORE. WET THE ROPE is a hardcore band consisting of members of PITCHFORK, AMBER INN, SINKER, EXHALE and many others. It's members have been actively making music for almost 30 years. "the sum of our scars" is their debut album, and while you can hear the influences of the members' previous bands, the anger of this LP may catch you by surprise. This album deals with the consequences of sexual abuse and predatory behavior. It is meant as both a personal and a political statement - 12 tracks of intense emotional pissed political hardcore!

HARDCORE-PUNK. Straight out of Cleveland, WETBRAIN's new 5 song 7" kills everything in its path! Pure degenerate punk-hardcore with the hooks of ADOLESCENTS mixed with the insanity of the CRUCIFUCKS. Maniac music that will break your IPhone 88 and make your grandma pee out of her depends… ah, yeah, that good. Veteran members of all the great Clevo bands- DARVOCETS, GSMF, INMATES, 9 SHOCKS, ANNIHILATION TIME eand more. Fans of early '80 california hardcore and good-old fashion mid-west punk makes the cream rise to the top. Amazing original artwork (includes obi strip) on top.

HARDCORE-PUNK. With a rap sheet of prior bands as long as a book - Cleveland's WETBRAIN arrives with their much belated debut lp. Musically this is tuneful speed-core to the absolute max, with call backs to everything from THE ADOLESCENTS, to (early) HÜSKER DÜ, to ARTIFICIAL PEACE, to the 1st INDIGESTI LP, all fronted by the inimitable Larry Darvocet. This is surely the party record of the year.

POST-HARDCORE. WHARF RATS' 2-song 7" has one flaw - it's too short. So, No Sleep Records saved you the trouble of flipping it over again and again. They squeezed the tracks onto the a-side and carved some etchings on to the b-side. Limited edition of 750 copies. 7" includes a digital download card.

POST-HARCORE. After releasing 2 releases themselves, Memphis-based WHAT WE DO IN SECRET has partnered with Facedown Records for the release of their debut full-length, "repose". Heavy, memorable, and at times chaotic metallic hardcore for fans of NORMA JEAN and EVERY TIME I DIE. Colored vinyl is limited to 250 copies and includes a digital download card.

GARAGE/POP-PUNK. WHAT'S EATING GILBERT is the side-project of NEW FOUND GLORY guitarist Chad Gilbert. Titled "cheap shots". This 5 song 7" features sleek '50s-style pop with a nod to the pop-punk sound Gilbert has become known for NEW FOUND GLORY. Colored vinyl version includes a digital download card.

GARAGE-PUNK-ROCK. Less than a year after their 1st LP, North Carolina's WHATEVER BRAINS are back with their 2nd full-length. This time they've put away the electronic drums and weird home-recorded tracks and concentrated on making a "rock" record, and the results are both more focused and more expansive than anything in the band's quickly-growing discography. There are short songs, long songs, weird songs, angry songs, punk songs, rock songs, quiet songs, and loud songs, but everything flows together seamlessly. It's something of a cliche to say that listening to an album feels like a journey, but in this case it's absolutely true.

GARAGE-PUNK-ROCK. [reduced price] Like their previous 2 full-length's for Sorry State, this new album both gives us the fix of jittery, nervous punk you've come to expect from the WHATEVER BRAINS while subtly expanding the band's sound in a number of non-obvious directions. In particular, there's a discernible dark synth-pop influence and big, brit-pop-style choruses on a couple of tracks. This album also has the band's most ambitious, layered production to date, the bright and clear mastering giving you equal pleasure whether you plan to blast this from your car speakers with all the windows down or take the headphone route down the BRAINS' sonic rabbit-hole. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

GARAGE-PUNK-ROCK. This it the 4th - and many are saying best 7" by this North Carolina punk band that picked up where CROSSED EYES left off. Rather than sticking with basic, song-oriented garage-rock, though, WHATEVER BRAINS pile on layers and layers of noise, weirdness, and nastiness. The closest comparison is early PAVEMENT. WHATEVER BRAINS take chords, rhythms, and textures that should be ugly and make them catchy and beautiful. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
