ELECTRO/INDIE-POP. VIVE LA VOID is the new solo project of Sanae Yamada, keyboard player of MOON DUO. Yamada wrote and recorded the self-titled debut album over roughly a two-year period. The dense, shape-shifting atmospheres of the 7 songs grew out of late-night basement experiments in the layering of synthesizer tracks. The result is an undulating blend of ethereal swirl, low end thrumming, and electric crackle, buoyed by Yamada’s understated but captivating vocal melodies and her striking lyrics. Limited colored vinyl includes a digital download ccard.

POST-PUNK. "dance among the debris" is the full-length by Portland's peace-punks VIVID SEKT. Following two 7" releases including a split with BOG PEOPLE, VIVID SEKT returns with more dark punk anthems which updates the moody bass melodies of THE MOB and raw punk ferocity of SUBHUMANS to create a new anarcho-punk classic. The band features members of similarly influenced bands as ARCTIC FLOWERS and MORAL HEX, but their sound doesn't reveal the hardcore pace of the former nor the more post-punk sound of the latter. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST-PUNK-ROCK. "from ruin" is 3 new tracks from Portland's very own peace-punks (with members of ARCTIC FLOWERS, MORAL HEX and DOG SOLDIER). Now a 3 piece, these female fronted thought provoking songs strike a similarity to FUZZBOX at times mixed in with influences of some of your favorite UK '82 and peace-punk bands (THE SYTEM, A HEADS etc). Influences which they wear blatantly on their jackets, all the while managing to keep their own uniqueness and give a fresh take on a classic genre. This is their strongest release to date and a teaser of what's to come, hopefully it won't be too long... 500 pressed.

POST-PUNK. Portland's own UK peace-punk inspired punks. Female-fronted, thought-provoking vocals strike a similarity to FUZZBOX but keep their own uniqueness. You'll find their UK82 (THE SYSTEM or A HEADS, etc.) influence worn blantantly on their sleeve but they are paving their own path off the beaten road.

PUNK-ROCK. VIXENS are a low-fi hardcore band from Halifax, Canada which reeks of irreverent punk. These 4 women take you on a deranged 9 song trip telling you about their personal habits with absolutely complacency until you learn that you can live without thinking. A Crucial mess if I am allow to say it.?

ELEKTRO-PUNK. Following the destructive dramatics of their highly acclaimed, widely sought after album on Coalition, these stalwarts of snobbery return with 3 more low-fi sci-fi anthems to provoke and annoy. Another essential limited pressing from Youth Attack.

HARDCORE. Tokyo's VOCO PROTESTA 2nd album finally arrives. Moving away from their extremely noisy 7"s and working along the lines of their "vojo al libereco" LP from 2009 their 12 track LP brings to mind early '80s Swedish hardcore bands ala CRUDE SS or SVART PARAD as well as Italian/Spanish anarchist bands from the same period like IV REICH and WRETCHED. All ran thru their own Japanese filter and with a crystal clear recording. Sang integrally in Esperanto with a strong anarchist message "neniam konfidu al la stato" ("never trust the state") is a fresh hope statement against the stale world we live in.

HARDCORE. Tokyo's VOCO PROTESTA blend the best of the last years of Japanese distorted hardcore with the early '80s European attitude. Their sound has changed a touch since their three 7"s - it’s more dynamic, perhaps less CONFUSE and more CRUDE SS. Highly idealistic anarchist lyrics about a better world sang in Esperanto. Their sonic approach is still distorted, primitive and urgent. Fast and angry. "vojo el libereco" is a classic slice of raw hardcore for any fans of GLOOM, FRAMTID, FRIGORA and other masters of the black and white high contrast artwork.

THRASH-HARDCORE. San Francisco’s VOETSEK offer up 8 tracks of raging thrash violence. This is their follow up to "the castrator" full-length on Six Weeks. Fans of SPAZZ to HIRAX and MUNICPAL WASTE will rock out to this slab.

THRASH-HARDCORE. San Francisco's VOETSEK should be known from their whole bunch of previous releases. They offer up 3 tracks of raging thrash-violence. Fans of SPAZZ to HIRAX will rock out to this slab. Bay-Area thrash as it's best. Germany's COLD WAR (don't mix them up with the US-band) feature members of MÖNSTER, SKRUPEL etc.. They play brutal hardcore in the same vein as their counterpart. You'll get 5 tracks and a cover of "cold war" by SIEGE. A shure winner!

HARDCORE-PUNK. Plenty of folks who grew up with hardcore have since moved onto its noisier or artier or less-traditional cousins. VOGUE's "pompshit" is sourced in the early '80s loose-booty hardcore-punk with some hints into the tightly wound treble-spray of early '90s noise-rock. It's an ugly sound - sometimes frenzied and sometimes totally entropic. Unlike so much music in 2010, VOGUE doesn't want to inflate your sense of euphoria. The songs on the record are what you can expect from VOGUE - harsh, raw, unexpected tempo juggling. They want to stub out enthusiasm like a cigarette on a forehead. This album is diverse, but VOGUE ain't no dilettantes. If you like their former stuff you'll love those tracks, too!

HARDCORE. While organizing the Dischord archive, they came across the 4-track of VOID's 1st recording session. This was done at Hit And Run Studios in 1981 and never officially released. The master tape was nowhere to be found so the tape was remixed by Ian MacKaye and Don Zientara at Inner Ear in 2011. This release features that entire session plus their 1st Inner Ear demo including the "flex your head" cuts and song that ended up on the "condensed flesh" 7", 2 outtakes from their 2nd Inner Ear session and a couple of live recordings. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. "disturbia" is a short, sharp and brutal slice of modern hardcore from VOID OF VISION. Debut album "children of chrome" (2016) won acclaim from the media worldwide, and this limited-edition 7" takes a new look at everyday life and the dark things lurking beneath the surface in inimitable style.

PUNK-ROCK. Southern California's THE VOIDS return with their 2nd full-length of female fronted vocals backed with early '80s influenced punk-rock (SIN 34, RED SCARE, VICE SQUAD). Truly one of the most popular bands to have emerged from Orange County, Ca THE VOIDS sell-out all venues and for good reason. Fast paced, powerful in your face punk-rock! Catchier than THE CLAP and twice as hard to get rid of. Strictly limited, handnumbered and handscreened vinyl edition!
