OI!/HARDCORE-PUNK. France’s SYNDROME 81 started gaining momentum in the hardcore-punk scene with their demo, drawing comparisons to the plethora of great bands that defined the French oi! sound of the '80s with a heavy stomp culled from classic USHC. "beton nostalgie" LP is a collection of songs released on various previous releases - 18 songs from the demo, LITOVSK and URBAN SAVAGE splits, "desert urbain" and "la rouille du quotidien" 7"s. It's coming in a gatefold-jackets.

POST-PUNK-ROCK. There’s a new best band in San Francisco. And this band plays a beautiful cacophony of raw, frenetic guitars, fiercely pounded drums, and jerky yet oddly melodic vocals. Perfect timing and guitar damage reminiscent of the PROLETARIAT underscores a vocal delievery not dissimilar to THE OBSERVERS but less operatic and more desperate. It's jerky, derailed, and draws heavily from early post-punk, but chugs along at a classic punk tempo, blasting out totally agitated lyrics the whole time. This record is a tight, fuzzy underground treasure in the waiting. SYNTHETIC ID is reacting to their urban locale with more spite, damage and unnerving vitality.

POST-PUNK-ROCK. SYNTHETIC ID play jerky and genuine jams for fans of WIPERS, THE FALL, PERE UBU and OBSERVERS. This 3 song banger is angular and deliberate, and the guitars are brilliant. Contributing member of FACE THE RAIL, ECOLI, YADOKAI, and HUNTING PARTY. This demo is short, to be sure, but so very sweet.

HARDCORE-PUNK. AC4 called it a day and guitarist Karl Backman has started a new outfit, THE T-55?S. They describe themselves as hardcore-punk meets MOTÖRHEAD, with female vocals. "power up" are 5 simple track that drums up images of dirty, sweaty, punk gigs that practically explode the minute the music starts. From heavy, thunderous bass lines, to the fast-as-fuck guitar fretwork, guttural growls and gang vocals – the band belt out 5 tracks that are impossible not incite a riot. Certainly, "power up" is a force to be reckoned with. It's in-your-face, takes no prisoners and certainly makes no apologies for its opinions. POST-PUNK-ROCK. T.S.O.L. has been going strong for nearly 40 years and have worn many hats - from intense punk rock to death rock to new-wave to hair metal - and return to their d.i.y. roots with "the trigger complex". This record is a hard-hitting, anthemic release that shows the band has plenty more vitriol and show no sign of slowing down. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

ALTERNATIVE-ROCK. TAD was a mighty force in the late-'80s/early-'90s Seattle scene. Their heavy, churning rock/metal/punk buzz was a crucial part of Sub Pop's early years, and, along with peers like MUDHONEY, NIRBANA and SOUNDGARDEN, they defined the sound that reinvigorated the rock world in the early '90s. With an image that sometimes cast the band as deranged lumberjacks, and influence from HEAD OF DAVID and KILLDOZER, TAD put a uniquely rain-and-fog-coated Northwest spin on '80s underground rock. The band released 2 albums and a 7"s on Sub Pop between 1988 and 1991, all of which are now lovingly re-mastered and repackaged with bonus tracks and expansive liner notes. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

ALTERNATIVE/GRUNGE-ROCK. "infrared riding hood" from 1995, is the 5th and final album by the Seattle grunge-alternative band TAD. Although the album didn't enjoy the sales success of its genre's biggest rivals, this album is often regarded as TAD's best work. As a matter of fact, disaster struck for the band right after the album's release. The album sold poorly, having had very little promotion behind it. This fact alone makes original copies of "infrared riding hood" quite rare to come by, making a reissue a welcome one for grunge and rock fans alike. Colored, 180gr thick viinyl is limited to 1000 copies.

POST-ROCK. TAIGA's electronic hymns are deeply personal and spiritual, complex riddles that are buried under post-traumatic tape hiss and disturbing reverb. An aura that's beamed from another dimension, echoing down your spine. Shimmering hypnotics that force dialogue, no seasonal offering of spring mountain-tops but a heartening experience, both precise and organic, that just seems to regenerate itself. Imagine awakening from a cold sweat coma, still paralyzed, but awestruck by space and shuffling movements of ghost hunters breathing through inflatable weapons. New age minimalism and post-ambient clouds highly influenced by TANGERINE DREAM, Klaus Schulze, Brian Eno, CLUSTER and Terry Riley. TAIGA is the solo space monniker of Bryant Clifford Meyer from RED SPAROWES, WINDMILLS BY THE OCEAN, ISIS and THE GERSCH. Limited vinyl edition includes a digital download card.
