HARDCORE-PUNK. U-NIX follow up their impressive debut 7" on Lumpy with "nuke portland", a scathing, psychotic hardcore masterpiece. These 8 tracks fire at full speed, with John Cardwell's (ex-NASA SPACE UNIVERSE) trebly guitar attack leading the mix alongside a pulverizing rhythm section and gravelly maniac vocals. This is total trend-stripping music - a furious hardcore attack that careens forward with precision and speed. Simply put, U-NIX are one of the last pure hardcore bands worth their weight. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE-PUNK. This 5 track 7" is on fire. Psycho hardcore with some of the nastiest vocals/lyrics around. They remind vocalwise of the FUCK YOU PAY ME and H100'S records. Fast, anthemic hardcore done correctly - no need to say any more.

HARDCORE-PUNK. This is the debut 7" by ex-members of DEAMON SYSTEM-13, REGULATIONS, VICIOUS and other great Swedish hardcore bands. It will come as no surprise to those familiar with the aforementioned bands that U.X. VILEHEADS play fast US influenced hardcore with a specific attention being paid to early Dischord titles.

HARDCORE-PUNK. Back when they started out as a side-project of Melbourne's band MASSES, UBIK described themselves as catchy brat-beat with a little sprinkling of anarcho goodness. That still rings true but with a slight lineup change and a couple years, they've gotten 100x tighter and traded most of the goodness for a bit more snarl. The catchiness remains strong a deliberate. Vinyl comes housed in a custom die-cut jacket with insert and includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. Nothing safe or user friendly from these Chicago lifers. A frontwoman in the mold of Donna Damage (of NO THANKS), riffs that tread a similar path as DIE KREUZEN ("cows & beer" era) or MECHT MENSCH, and a recording ugly enough to match. Hardcore and nothing more.

HARDCORE. UDUSIC's 2nd 7" offering is titled "ugly", and as advertised, delivers an earful of gunk-and-grime-caked hardcore firmly planted in the tradition of DIE KREUZEN, MECHT MENSCH, NO THANKS and even some Greg Ginn-styled guitar pyrotechnics. Sounding more blown out and unhinged than previous recordings, this is definitely the best and ugliest Udusic offering to date. Vinyl is limited to 500 copies and includes a digital download card.

FOLK-ROCK. UFFE LORENZEN (alias Lorenzo Woodrose) is the frontman of BABY WOODROSE and SPIDS NOGENHAT but from now on he will be recording and performing under his own name and be singing in Danish. The first result is the solo album. "galmandsværk" (loosely translates to "act of madness") contains 10 songs that goes in many directions and sounds as if BABY WOODROSE, SPIDS NOGENHAT and DRAGONTEARS merged and turned into something new. The sound of the album is mostly acoustic with many exotic instruments such as sitar, tablas, bansuri, hurdy gurdy, violin and of cource doses of fuzz. First print of the LP is limited to a 1000 copies on black vinyl.

SLUDGE-METAL. Generally people are attacked to very specific things. Arizona's UGLY isn't a block that doesn't fit in the peg hole, they could be more like the object that lies in many places, or a vector, or a four dimensional image. The band plays a heavy detuned sludge metal sticky with riffs and seething with angry noise slithering in the undertone.Think of the first time you heard SKINNY PUPPY and how hard it was to break apart the elements that were stitched together. The band breaks for periods to give a good repetitive riff only to break back into noisy uproar again. The band summons favorite elements of BASTARD NOISE, CATTLEPRESS, and SISSY SPACEK and weaves them into a death cloak of pandemonium. Features the vocalist from LANDMINE MARATHON and TRANSIENT.

SLUDGE-HARDCORE. UGLY is a relatively new sludge/doom band hailing from Prescott, Arizona that consists of veteran musicians who also take part in bands such as ENDORPHINS LOST or LANDMINE MARATHON. "wall" is their 2nd 7" and offers 2 dark, misanthropic tracks elaborating on the ugliest traits of human kind. Clocking in at just over 8min., "wall" takes you on a short but enduring journey throughout the human psyche and all that is truly wrong in this world. Reminiscent of early SWANS, DYSTOPIA, and NOOTHGRUSH. UGLY will not disappoint. Limited to 500 copies.

HARDCORE. These born again fellas from a scene before (members of UNSEEN FORCE, HONOR ROLE and JUDGE DREDD) thrash through 6 ripping tracks of classic early '80s hardcore. Good production and very good musicianship throughout this little platter here. Definetly a must have for fans of stuff like DIE KREUZEN, ARTICLES OF FAITH and old, classic Richmond hardcore. Comes with reversible cover for the picky folk.

PUNK-ROCK. This storied 1st-wave Toronto punk outfit have been sadly under-represented on vinyl. Now THE UGLY are back - while legendary and original frontman Mike Nightmare passed away in the '90s, new vocalist Greg Dick (of THE DREAM DATES) is about as capable and credible as they come, and the veteran UGLY trio (with members of THE VILETONES and DEMICS) are determined to set the record straight. This isn't the usual castrated reunion record. This 7" is as tough as they ever been, swaggering through the topside's punkified early STONES in classic fashion but turning up the aggression on the 1978-vintage flipside, a raw, mean and quick-paced hard punk blast with a grinding guitar recalling early BLACK FLAG or SUBHUMANS. One time pressing of 480 only in swank pocket sleeve with insert.

SINGER/SONGWRITER. UKE-HUNT is ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES vocalist Spike Slawson's latest cover band extravaganza. What started as Spike simply learning and arranging some of his favorite classic songs for the ukulele on his own eventually evolved into added musicians and a layered patchwork of ukulele, saxophone, glockenspiel, stylophone, organ, standup bass and all manner of percussive elements. Obviously, due in no small part to the instrumentation, this most recent foray into the world of breathing new life into shopworn classics displays a decidedly different slant than the breakneck tempo of the GIMMES. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

SINGER/SONGWRITER. The 7" "the prettiest star" is the 1st taste of ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES vocalist Spike Slawson's latest cover band extravaganza, UKE-HUNT. What started as Spike simply learning and arranging some of his favorite classic songs for the ukulele on his own eventually evolved into added musicians and a layered patchwork of ukulele, saxophone, glockenspiel, stylophone, organ, standup bass and all manner of percussive elements. The headliner of all this instrumentation is, of course, Spike's renowned vocal ability. This 7" flashes a touch of what fans can expect with UKE-HUNT's catchy lounge/soul flavored renditions.

POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE. This is raging fastcore from 2 parts of the world, that couldn't be more far away from each other. ULTIMATE BLOWUP from Turkey with 8 tracks of maniac power-violence with a similar stereo voice work to SPAZZ and kinda earsmashing soundwall, we all love INFEST for. KALI from Canada with a similar style, super fast thrashcore smashers with a completely mad singer. Thrash to the max, play fast, die slow!
