PROGRESSIVE-PUNK/METAL. San Francisco's PINS OF LIGHT resides in that murky musical shadow-territory of the nearly unclassifiable. They craft a brutal and intricate mélange of metal, punk and prog that isn't quite any of those things.Driving music from a band that includes members from TRICLOPS, DEAD AND GONE, NIGHT AFTER NIGHT and HIGHTOWER. PINS OF LIGHT's most progressive moments are more MOTÖRHEAD than MOTHERS OF INVENTION; their metal is more PINK FLOYD than it is JUDAS PRIEST; the elements of punk are a driving fistfight that's entirely the band's own. For fans of heavy rock like HELLACOPTERS, KYUSS, MONSTER MAGNET and Detroit proto-punk legends DEATH. Vinyl includes digital download card.

HARDCORE-PUNK. Now is the time to take notice of Brisbane, Australia's PIOUS FAULTS. With "old thread", the young group have crafted a remarkably lucid and original vinyl debut. A sonic whirlwind of wonderfully deconstructed hardcore-punk - songs stripped of inheritable form; leaping from stone to leaf to puddle in a unique, abstract manner. A sound far from imitation but comparable to early SACCHARINE TRUST, SPIKE IN VAIN, or more recent fare like DRY ROT and NASA SPACE UNIVERSE. Vinyl is limited to 400 copies and includes a digital download card.

PUNK-ROCK. PISS TEST from Portland deliver their 2nd snotty punk album. Think about the angrier side of early Texas or SoCal punk, with a dose of the Great Pacific Northwest (where bands can’t help but sound a little bit like THE WIPERS). PISS TEST have also had several comparisons to PROLETARIAT, which they weren’t really going for, but don’t complain about. Ex-members of RED DONS, AUTISTIC YOUTH, POISON IDEA among others and current members of MACHO BOYS. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

PUNK-ROCK. Portland, Oregon is having yet another supergroup taking the punk world by storm. After a debut 7" and a split with FIST CITY they finally spit out their 1stf full-length. Fronted by Zachary Brooks (RED DONS) and backed by fellow PDX stalwarts Samantha (NEO BOYS, WIPERS) and Rodrigo (RED SHADOWS, POISON IDEA, AUTISTIC YOUTH) they deliver 13 snotty punk jams that tackle every topic that needs to be tackled. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/WAVE-PUNK. The likes of HUMAN ABFALL, MOSQUITO EGO and ATATAKAKATTA are leading the charge in Germany's punk/wave underground, and PISSE aren't far from the forefront. This LP is way more focused than their prior effort, which bounced around from new-wave playfulness, to no wave moodiness, to bizarre renditions of country-fried Americana. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason for any of it, save for perhaps a band finding their footing. Some good ideas surely seeped through, and they've now shaped them into a controlled, tightly-wound attack. They might be the best synth-punk act going.

PUNK-ROCK. PISSE are back and they are welcoming 2020 in style. You'll get 9 synth-trash proto-punk smashers with an all-around nihilistic vibe and lyrics. While these songs may sound a little bleaker than the band’s last releases, they are as versatile as always. Overall, the music is focused, catchy and danceable. Perfect for smashing your face on the floor. If you want something new and interesting from Germany, this is it!

POST/NOISE-PUNK. Age and a total of 4 full-lengths haven't mellowed PISSED JEANS - they can still unleash a blare that will exfoliate your cochlea. The songs on "honeys" are direct without being obtuse, evocative without being vague, and personal without being indulgent. They also rock like nobody's business. Do yourself a favor and forget all the claptrap you've heard about other bands delivering the goods. PISSED JEANS trucks in menacing songs about insecurity, and nobody has ever done it better. "honeys" is a nasty album that pulls as much from bands like THE JESUS LIZARD and FLIPPER as it does from BLACK FLAG. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. PISSED JEANS is set to go, with 10 songs of dirty low-fi punk. Thick-as-glue punk bombast and Aussie sludge stoke the coals of your existence. This 2nd full-length is diverse, but the PISSED JEANS ain't no dilettantes. Mixing volatility with humor is a hard thing to master in music. PISSED JEANS do it with smarts and poignancy. Consider the bar raised. If your a fan of old SST or Touch & Go releases, speaking of THE JESUS LIZARD, FLIPPER and even the BLACK FLAG you should buy this item at once. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. If 2005's "shallow" was PISSED JEANS coping with moving out of their parents' homes and 2007's "hope for men" their initial reaction to the mechanical lifestyle of a wage-earner, "king of jeans" is their formal and uneasy acceptance of adulthood, by way of one hell of a rock record. PISSED JEANS have pushed further into the raw, minimal core of heavy rock music with "king of jeans". Masters of the mundane, beasts of the banal, high priests of the humdrum: these four, white, male high school graduates hardly look further than their own appendages for artistic inspiration, content to execute their own brand of brash and heavy punk music. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. PISSED JEANS and Sub Pop have teamed up to reissue "shallow", the band's long-out-of-print debut album from 2006. PISSED JEANS crawl out from under hardcore's seedy underbelly to blast out 8 tracks of droning punk-noise. Calling to mind the warped visions of FANG, FLIPPER, the PISSED JEANS point a dirty mirror at themselves, with fractured tales of woe in front of a harsh, blown-out backdrop. Recommended for people who never get out of bed, pop their zits with sweaty fingers and didn't have a date for the prom. Vinyl version includes a digital download card and bonus 2-song 7".

POST/NOISE-PUNK. PISSED JEANS have been making gnarly noise for 13 years, and on their 5th album, "why love now", the male-fronted quartet is taking aim at the mundane discomforts of modern life-from fetish webcams to office-supply deliveries. PISSED JEANS' gutter-scraped amalgamation of sludge, punk, noise, and bracing wit make the band a release valve for a world where absurdity seems in a constant battle trying to outdo itself. "why love now" picks at the bursting seams that are barely holding 21st-century life together. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

THRASH-HARDCORE. PISSER hails from St. Catharines, Ontario. Fast-paced and forward-driven, PISSER has all the best elements of '80s crossover thrash. This is music to mosh to. Blistering guitars take turns delivering haunting leads. Lyrical themes range from insightful social commentary to partying like a maniac. Picture DRI meets MUNICIPAL WASTE, with strong female vox that will tear you apart.
