POST-HARDCORE/PUNK. Originally released in the fall of 1992, “plays prety for baby” was the 2nd and last manifesto to be released by the NATION OF ULYSESS. They say stars shine brightest shortly before they die, and this saying holds especially true for the awesome display of havoc-reaking contained within the grooves of this album. The vinyl was re-cut and re-mastered in 2009 and comes with a digital download card.

POST-PUNK. The 2nd big slab from North Carolina’s NATURAL CAUSES. While their 1st record on the Snot Records was a rough around the edges affair with raw production and a clear fascination with the jittery, pop-inflected synth-punk of bands like LOST SOUNDS, this "self-titled" effort finds the band maturing in all the right ways. The production here is also much clearer and more powerful than before. NATURAL CAUSES combine the atmospheric arrangements and angular riffing of post-punk with the energy of garage-punk, all the while sprinkling the whole thing liberally with big pop melodies, makes them a perfect fit for the label. Vinyl comes with a beautifully-designed jacket and includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. NATURAL LAW finally returns with their definitive statement as a band, both musically and ideologically. Far surpassing their previous material, the band has settled into a sound that places them as a contemporary version of late-era MINOR THREAT. With a cleaner, fuller recording NATURAL LAW has finally fulfilled their potential and "find the flock" stands as a monolith amongst their catalog.

HARDCORE. These 4 songs originally came out in 2010 as a self-released tape. Hailing from the New Jersey and New York areas, NATURAL LAW cultivate a gritty, rough, superbly '80s sound on their "spring trash" demo. The songs which vary from frantic hardcore lunacy to floorboard rattling pounders usher for its rumbling 6min. existence. NATURAL LAW is by no means complicated, but this is an excellent starting point, especially for a demo tape.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. NAVIES is a hellishly loud band situated in Washington, After releasing a split 10" via Level Plane Records, they landed at Lovitt/Yosada Records for their most recent batch of noise. "an estate" offers a brief and intriguing glimpse into a young trio brimming with intensity and precocious depth. Mining a vein of rich influences ranging from punk and post-punk to European psych-rock, NAVIES has crafted a work that uses these genres as mere touchstones to create a work which shines greater that the sum of its parts.
