POST-PUNK. FAMILY CURSE are a four-piece post-punk band from Brooklyn, NY, that utilize the aggressive approach to the word "post". They take arty '90s punk and revive it through energy and tempo rather than purely mood. Fans of MONORCHID, UNWOUND, DRIVE LIKE JEHU, and anything angular take note.

HARDCORE. The classic 1983 hardcore scuzz-rock debut from Berkeley's FANG, "land shark" is a unique mix of erratic thrashers and slow SABBATH-oid noise riffs. Its best-known tune is without a doubt the rumbling and stumbling opening track, "the money will roll right in", which has been covered by Nirvana, Metallica, Mudhoney, The Butthole Surfers and god knows who else. This reissue is remastered and back in print on vinyl for the first time in 20 years, with additional vintage artwork inside. Vinyl includes a digital download card with the addition of "where the wild things are".

NOISE-HARDCORE/PUNK. Members of the ENDLESS BLOCKADE, KREMLIN, SCHOOL JERKS, etc. recorded these 7 tracks in. It's later than you think, punk. You're in the ruins of your city. There's a noisome din on the horizon growing louder than hell. BLACK FLAG flap and flutter as you DEVO-lve into the bastard. Batshit pounding rhythms, swarming atonal solos, and a viciously singular, mutated punk spirit all take a piece of you and warp your square soul. You're changed now. This is FARANG. The other post-ENDLESS BLOCKADE band. DEVO meets BLACK FLAG? Limited to 400 copies, self-pressed by the band. One-sided LP comes full-color insert, dj-jacket-sleeve and pasted labels.

POST/NOISE/EXPERIMENTAL-ROCK. After 2 years with Stuttgart's handsome devils BODEN, Veronika decided to leave for good and go ahead for studies in Vienna and found something on her own. FARCE take a less blackened direction than BODEN did, but still transmits a moody spirit along with compressed fuzz-pop and lots of experimental-noise that ranges from relaxing to haunting to beautiful throughout. Listening to "ich sehe im vorbeifahrenden auto den unfall mitvorbeifahren in zeitlupe und rueckwaerts" is both unsettling and fascinating and with a grasp for the hidden groove, FARCE is the perfect soundtrack for acute insomia and early morning listlessness. For fans of: FEVER RAY, PORTISHEAD, DRAKE. Comes in heavy and glossy artwork on 180gr vinyl.

POST/MELODIC-HARDCORE. FARSIDE was a hardcore band from Orange County, California, founded in 1989. Their sound was a mixture of late '80s post-hardcore (DAG NASTY, HÜSKER DÜ and THE DESCENDENTS were big influences), '90s alternative (HELMET, QUICKSAND), and as a result the band never quite fit in on any bill they were booked to play. This resulted in the band never being completely definable which suited the members just fine. The band officially called it quits in 2000. Vocalist Popeye is currently a member of the band YOUR FAVORITE TRAINWRECK. The "keep my soul awake" 7" was originally released in 1990 and is available again on colored (opaque blue) vinyl.

HARDCORE. THE FARTZ, hailing from Seattle, terrorized the Northwest in the early '80s and reformed in 1998 after a long hiatus. Finally, here's an album of all material channeling their pent up hardcore rage of post-Reagan years! Blaine's caustic paint-peeling vocals are still intact, fortified by the return of the original bassist, lyricist, artist Steve, plus Alex (ex-THE ACCÜSED) on guitar and Karl (ex-DETONATORS ) on drums.

POP-PUNK-ROCK. Hot on the heels of the Dirt Cult Records 7" comes FASHIONISM's 4th 7". Hints of THE CLASH, TEENAGE HEAD and sped up MOD REVIVAL. It's the kind of power-pop that made 1979 such a good year for records. Included here are songs that lament the old guard that always want to talk about how things were and an erotic ode to coffee we think? Whatever the persuasion it's a banger of a 7" and definitely the strongest of their output thus far.

POP-PUNK-ROCK. "come on my baby" is the 5th 7" from mod revival, classic punk influenced Vancouver BC group. The title track sounds like a lost 1979 UK powerpearls track and the b-side features an alternate version of a previously released track. Members of TRANZMITORS, CHAIN WHIP and NIGHT PEOPLE.

HARDCORE. They say good things come to those who wait and the new 7", "outside the fence", by FAST ASLEEP is certainly no exception! With the addition of a new drummer, these Santa Cruz skate-punks have recorded 8 new grinding jams. The lyrics branch out a bit more on this one and explore things like serial killer karma, corporate waste and eminent death. Fans of early West-Coast thrash and power-violence will be circle pitting in their bedrooms, no doubt. If you ever fancied old C.O.C., PISSED HAPPY CHILDREN, CRYPTIC SLAUGHTER, JENNY PICCOLO or early D.R.I., then this shit is for you.

HARDCORE. FAST ASLEEP are 3 dudes, which formerly played in GOOD RIDDANCE, ALL YOU CAN EAT and NERVE AGENTS, that wanna play some thrashy and noisy hardcore.
