HARDCORE. H2O's "nothing to prove" is not a comeback. This is an album that seemed like it was always in progress over the last 7 years. H2O has come together and found their voice with more strength, excitement and energy than ever. Of all their records, this is certainly the best. It's very saccharine, but not as sappy and lightweight as their later albums, and you can hear that they had fun making this album and that all the songs and singalongs on it come from the heart. From start to finish this album does not let up.

HARDCORE. H2O's landmark album "thicker than water" is celebrating its 20th anniversary. H2O's 2nd album, originally released in 1997 on Epitaph Records, resonated with classic elements of East-Coast hardcore and West-Coast melody. To commemorate, Bridge Nine has pressed a limited-to-1,000 anniversary edition of the record inside a beautiful gatefold-jacket. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. It's been seven years since the release of a proper full-length album from H2O, but the bicoastal hardcore-punk pillars return with "use your voice", their 1st original studio album since 2008's "nothing to prove". While 2011's covers, "don't forget your roots", was a loving ode to their influences, "use your voice" reignites H2O's classic mix of melodic hardcore aggression and pop-punk bounce.

DOOM/DRONE-ROCK. AUN from Canada has a back catalog rich with harmonic drone, sepulchral ambience and of thick detuned guitar vistas. For this split, AUN ventures into new territory - '70s space-rock on bad acid, where dissonant tones and hallucinogenic melodies slam head-first into slow, pounding beats. HABSYLL is something much more than a metal band or a doom band, it's almost like 20th century classical played with downtuned guitars and massive drums. Think KHANATE, MONARCH, MOSS or FLESHPRESS? You're already thinking too fast, too structured, too riffy. This is some excessive extremist radical dooooooooom. Total pressing of 500 copies!

GARAGE-ROCK. HACKAMORE BRICK's sole 1970 LP on Kama Sutra remains a much-desired artifact of its era, a primordial expression of seminal proto-punk and early VELVETS worship. While there are several great tracks on the LP, "oh! those sweet bananas" was criminally over-looked and should really have been a 45rpm from the start. One of the great lost songs of the period, it's a quick, catchy and instantly addictive burst of NYC garage-punk-pop at the dawn of the '70s. The flip is a beautiful and memorable slow-burner. A slight change of pace for Ugly Pop, but a long-time favourite that anyone with good taste will appreciate. New picture sleeve, one-time-only pressing of 500 copies.

PUNK 'N' ROLL. Loud high energy, head-bobbin rock 'n' roll comparable to GLUECIFER, AC/DC and ROCKETS FROM THE CRYPT. Previous releases on Spectrasonic sounds and Great American Steak Religion. Members went on in BRUTAL KNIGHTS.

HARDCORE. Patrick Haemers was a criminal from Brussels who was part of a gang known for its violent robberies on money transports back in the '80s. This band took up his name to unleash their violent attacks onto us, successfully so. The new breed of stomping Boston style '80s hardcore with pissed off vocals. Ex-members of HESSIAN, VOGUE and IMAGIANARY DICTIONARY. HAEMERS sound like a blend of these bands actually. The debut 7" contains the 3 tracks from the demo tape as well as 3 more unreleased songs!

SLUDGE-METAL. HAGGATHA excavate primordial doom from deep beneath the Earth’s crust, conjuring some lamentable ancient devastation. Desperate, ruinous sludge from a cataclysmic prehistory that claws it’s way back into the folds of the reptile consciousness in a torrent of hopeless murk. Vancouver’s enduring traffickers of sludge defilement return with their 3rd full-length album and 5th solo release, appropriately titled "V". Six tracks of churning riff demolition clocking in at almost 40min. in a sleek package that continues the core aesthetic of the band emblem, this time in a black on black motif utilizing a spot gloss uv print. Current and ex-members of BISON BC, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, GOATSBLOOD and OSK.

POST-HARDCORE/METALCORE. Sonically, "mental knife" is the closest the band has come to realizing the sound they've sought since forming in 2009. The band lived largely in the same creative space for this record as they did on its predecessors - "culture scars" (2016) and "secret wars" (2017). However, all 4 members of the band have elevated their already impressive style of play on "mental knife" - pushing the limit of what is capable when walking the delicate line between intricate song arrangements and massive riffs and thundering rhythms. Thick 180gr vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST-HARDCORE. When HAIL THE SUN entered the studio to record what would become "new age filth", they knew they were setting out to make their most collaborative and diverse album yet. The 10 songs on "new age filth" showcase the band's post-hardcore roots blended with elements of alternative and progressive-rock, proving the band's ability to be extremely technical in instrumentation while also unleashing some of the catchiest hooks they've ever created. The lyrics center around the theme of reflection, weaving through painful and emotional experiences of love, cynicism, and touching on how awful humans can be to one another. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. With their 3rd 7" in 3 years, HAIRCUT returns with "cake", their offering on another local label, following up after stellar releases on Feel It and Beach Impediment. Pairing catchy riffs with catchy lyrics, this is the most to-the-point HAIRCUT release yet where they join their already established sound with a newfound simplicity. Definitely one of the best bands from Richmond's never-ending roster, HAIRCUT is completely relentless with these 6 tracks.

HARDCORE-PUNK. After turning some heads with their debut 7" entitled "shutting down", released on the high-quality Feel It Records label back in 2017, HAIRCUT has finally unleashed their follow-up with the "sensation" 7". Four tracks of pummeling hardcore-punk that retain the velocity and ferocity of the band's previous output whilst adding a decisive dose of meat and potatoes to the sonic formula, all the while Juliana belts out lyrics in both Spanish and English at a feverish pace. Each record comes in a glue-pocket sleeve.

CRUST-HARDCORE. Japan's HAKUCHI getting the long awaited vinyl treatment they deserve. HAKUCHI spanned 1991-1994 and released two 7"s and several demos and compilation appearances. Members would later go on to form one of the more prolific bands in the Japanese metal/punk scene A.G.E.. While their early recordings follow the more classic japanese hardcore tradition of the time they morphed into their own unique crust style that peaked with their '93 "god's disturb" 7" on Overthrow Records. While you can hear the nods to AMEBIX and EXTREME NOISE TERROR, these punks were blazing their own trail.
