POST-HARDCORE. Both bands deliver us hot, exciting, brilliant and modern new-schoolish '90s hardcore. LINSAY kick much arse with their patented German emotional new-schoolish hardcore and seem capable of flooring just about all comers with their furious riffsmithery. The 2 tracks offering pounding riffage, furious screamed vocals and some well-chosen samples that really help to build the tension. ENFOLD on the other hand, are something like the bastard child of BOTCH and the SWING KIDS. They're offering a touch of welcome variation after LINSAY's straightahead pummel. They kick and scream something chronic, all angry vocals and spastic riffs, jumping jerkily from pillar to post and ensuring you just can't quite get a grip on what they're gonna do next. This one is highly recommended and ring the bell of next generation bands. [PK 026]

DOOM-METAL. This is a massive doom assault. ENTH from Poland play a kind of funeral doom-metal with a strong CORRUPTED influence. AMAROK from California mix KHANATE drone-doom style with a great modern doom touch in the way of THOU and COUGH. There is no happiness here - no hope. Just ultimate peril and doom.

DEATH-METAL. Formed in 1987 as NIHILIST and taking the name ENTOMBED in 1989 (and recently re-branding themselves as ENTOMBED A.D.), this band helped define and pioneer the Swedish melodic death-metal sound, influencing countless bands and drawing their own influence from bands like AUTOPSY, MOTÖRHEAD, DISCHARGE and even more rock 'n' roll sounds of AC/DC in their later years. "back to the front" doesn't fall back to the early classics "left hand path" or "clandestine" but is a total bone-crushing opus that will have fans of all periods crying tears of joy. Vinyl comes with gatefold-sleeve and poster.

HARDCORE-PUNK. ENTRY started as a pet project between partners Sara Gregory and Clayton Stevens (of TOUCHE AMORE) in 2013 to create hardcore-punk music in the vein of bands like MINOR THREAR or CAREER SUICIDE. In 2015, the band officially relocated to Los Angeles. With a new lineup featuring Elliot Babin (TOUCHE AMORE, WARM THOUGHTS) and Daniel Pouliot (ANVESTORS, HORSE THE BAND), ENTRY began work on a 7" called "no relief". POST-HARDCORE. Despite its relative brevity (at 43min. it is ENVY's shortest album since their early-'90s thrash days), "atheist's cornea" is easily the band's most progressive work. Beginning with a punishing pummel, holes of light are gradually punched open to reveal an uncanny series of dynamic, emotionally charged epics. "atheist's cornea" is the purest, most distilled example of ENVY's brand of brilliance. It is also their bravest album, taking new risks with a much welcomed, broader vocal palette and an instrumental experimentation that navigates blistering shifts from impenetrable noise to poetic, pin-drop introspection with astounding grace. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST-HARDCORE. "the fallen crimson" - the 1st new studio album from ENVY in 5 years - is a record that almost never happened. Japan's most iconic and influential post-hardcore band suffered seemingly insurmountable personal and creative struggles that challenged the very existence of the band like nothing they had experienced in their nearly 3 decades together. After re-uniting with briefly estranged singer Tetsuya Fukagawa - and shaking up their lineup for the 1st time in 25 years - ENVY returns refreshed with their most dynamic and progressive work, "the fallen crimson". Two-colour smoke vinyl edition.

POST-HARDCORE/INDIE. Recorded in Spring 2008, both bands turn in some of their most inspired work yet. In addition, THURSDAY invited Anthony Molina of MERCURY REV to remix the dark instrumental "in silence" into the pitch-black closing track, "appeared and was gone", providing the perfect transition into the massive dynamics of ENVY. Beginning with the subtle electronics ENVY thrashes and burns through a trio of thoughtful face-melters. Pressed on audiophile-quality 180gr vinyl and featuring original artwork by acclaimed poster artist, Dan Grzeca, this deluxe set includes a CD, beautifully incorporated into the exquisite package design.

PUNK-ROCK. "all broken" is the 2nd release from EPIC PROBLEM who formed mid-2010, but didn't really get going until their first end of 2011. This new band of both young up-and-comers and well-seasoned veterans including Mackie, who had played for the iconic UK punk band BLITZ, and Jake of DANGERFIELDS and DEAD SUBVERTS. With a sound that is equal parts classic UK punk.-rock ala LEATHERFACE infused with the melodic Gainesville sound of bands like HOT WATER MUSIC and DILLINGER FOUR, this is a band that is garnering a lot of attention across multiple genres and scenes quickly. Limited edition of 150 copies.

PUNK-ROCK. Originally intended to be the 5th release on Loud Punk Records, Boston's THE EPIDEMIC unleash their long overdue 2nd release the "losing control". Recorded in 2007 this follow up to their fantastic "self-titled" LP ended up being shelved due to 1st a bad mix followed by the tragic death of a member. This 7" is 3 tracks of classic UK style: catchy, melodic and hard hitting punk that brings to mind bands like CONFLICT and ICONS OF FILTH. Members have also been seen doing time in such bands as SADIST, WHO KILLED SPIKEY JACKET?, THE SPOILS and others.

PUNK-ROCK. In 1978 forming a punk band and expecting to be taken seriously was not on the list headed "good ideas". Complaints of ill-conceited jocularity from British Epilepsy Association resulted in a name change to EPI-X, then changed to THE LICKS under pressure from Stortbeat who released the band's debut "1970s" 7" much played by John Peel. In early '80 the nucleus of THE EPILEPTICS re-emerged as FLUX OF PINK INDIANS, but that's another story. "smash guitar solos" is a 500 only limited edition vinyl LP that compiles their 2 highly collectable 7"s: "1970s" and "last bus to debden" and an unreleased studio session from 1979.
