INDIE/EMO-ROCK. Strapped with an arsenal of moody, abrasive guitars, precision bass lines and mathy drumwork, THE ASKET LOTTERY return with their strongest album to date, "real fear". A beautifully cathartic, dreary-dreamlike swirl of grooving riffs that intertwine with singer Nathan Ellis' relentless vocals that transcend into a euphoric intensity for the dark horse album of the fall. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. This is the long awaited re-release of the classic "tertia" double vinyl (originally released in 2009) by the instrumental juggernaut known as CASPIAN. Since their inception in 2004, CASPIAN has brought an instrumental, atmospheric wall of sound comparable to ISIS, later NEUROSIS and EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, and have recently added a 3rd guitar player, putting another layer on their already thick sound.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. The 3rd album from Massachusetts post-rock cosmonauts CASPIAN is a gorgeous 57min. float through ghost choirs, EARTH-ly desert ambles, guitars beamed from the ENVY school of decimation, and, of course, builds, builds, builds. "waking season" hits the majestic, hypnotic sweet spot, making room for TIM HECKER-fried drones, "joshua tree"-era U2 atmosphere and voices skipping like they were controlled by DJ Rashad or the BOOKS.

ALTERNATIVE/INDIE-ROCK. This is the debut full-length from Philadelphia's indie/punk band, CASSAVETES. Started as a project between PAINT IT BLACK, KILLED THE MAN WHO QUESTIONS, LIKERS etc. members, this all-star band reminiscent of early to mid-'90s rock bands such as the 1st FOO FIGHTERS record, SUGAR, SMASHING PUMPKINS, NIRVANA et al. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

SCREAMO-HARDCORE. CASSUS from Norwich, UK deliver their 2nd LP, "separation anxiety". Where the former album, "this is dead art…" focused heavily on political theory and a critique of consumerism, "separation anxiety" partially continues these themes while shifting its focus to reflect on philosophical and emotional experience. This is finest end '90s emo-violence for fans of ORCHID, AMPERES. All copies come with a full-colour art booklet, a full-sized insert, complete with die-cut covers

HARDCORE. CAST ASIDE are one of the hardest and angriest bands to surface from Richmond in years. Their 7" entitled "overcome" is already a contemporary hardcore classic, comprised of 6 songs that walk tall and prove that no frills hardcore is still a menacing threat to the music world. The CD contains 12 songs; 6 from the "overcome" 7" and 6 from their demo.

HARDCORE/METALCORE. "lapsed requiems" is a collaborative split from Connecticut natives CAST IN BLOOD and Delaware's FOREIGN HANDS. The 4-track 10" was born out of a mutual appreciation for each other's chaotic, '90s-style metalcore. The pairing fits well with their start-and-stop riffing while expertly building off of the contrasts they each create within their own songs. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

EMO/MELODIC-HARDCORE. Its the year 2007: after 13 years the US post-hardcore legends BOYSETSFIRE announce their break up. Shortly after the last show singer Nathan begins to write songs at home on his acoustic guitar, planning to release those stripped down anthems as his debut solo. Musically the 8 song demo is the perfect combination of Gray's original acoustic ideas, the melancholic emocore of his heroes SAMIAM and the keyboard driven power-pop of the later THE GET UP KIDS. Three years, 2 full-lenghts and several succesful tours later THE CASTING OUT finally call it quits when Gray's old band BOYSETSFIRE decide to reunite in 2010.

PUNK-ROCK. CASUAL BURN is a femme-fronted punk-rock band from the swamps of New Orleans. Their debut full-length, "mean thing," is a haunting punk-rock stomp with goth and surf undertones, sludgy downshifts, and a few noisy freak-outs. Catchy melodies and strong songwriting chops contrast with the blown-out garage vibe of an '80s punk record. Vinyl is limited to 511 copies and includes a digital download card.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. CASUAL HEX is a three-piece formed in Seattle, in 2015. Drawing influence from a variety of genres (post-punk, no-wave, noise-rock), The band relies on the contrast of heavy, catchy, minimal, and dissonant. It’s difficult to draw a direct lineage, but flashes of PYLON, THE CONTORTIONS or early SONIC YOUTH come to mind. Erica’s voice is a commanding narration, stern in delivery. Clocking in at 21min., "zig zag lady illusion" is as much of a full-length as you’re gonna get with most songs not even hitting the 2min. mark. Limited edition of 300 copies.

POST-PUNK. CAT PARTY exist in the delicate space between 2 genres, specifically punk and post-punk. Somebody described them as a hybrid of early JOY DIVISION and early T.S.O.L.. But CAT PARTY is much more than a shallow imitation of that 1981 sound - and they’ve managed to avoid all the cliché pitfalls that have sunk the countless other bands who’ve tried to straddle this sound. That means no lyrics about hanging out in a graveyard, no extended synth explorations and no naive drama. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

LP 12.00€*

POST-ROCK. In a way, "scintilla" – the album – is CATACOMBE’s 1st. With its renewed sound – redefining post-rock with deeper harmonies and hypnotic, unpredictable rhythms – there are heartwarming breaches of light cutting through the massive walls of sound. There are echoes of suspending melodies, side by side with vigorous, evolving landscapes. There’s light and obscurity dwelling in deep resonance, inviting us to self-redefinition. The light, or the dawn. The morning star, the same one that is given to those who triumph. And, needless to say, "scintilla" – and CATACOMBE – have triumphed. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. The 2nd 7" from THE CATBULGARS this year and definitely a step up from the 1st one recording wise which can be nice and not nice depending on your taste if you like clean recordings or lo-fi but rest assured the playing is still sloppy and punk. The influence of STOOGES, DEAD BOYS, RAMONES and BLACK FLAG is still here like the 1st one but they also add a slight UK influence too on this one and yes the lyrics are still as 'dumb' as ever. 5 originals and a ZEROS cover, comes with a nice booklet cover. Other bands they could be compared to are the TRANZMITORS or the BRUTAL KNIGHTS.

DOOM-METAL. Limited edition double LP on 180gr vinyl with gatefold-sleeve and LP sized booklet. As with a choice few truly great bands, the 1st self-financed cassette recording by CATHEDRAL - made in october 1990 - was a pioneering underground masterpiece in its own right; the sound of a young band exploring its newfound chemistry, finding confident variations on a flawless list of influences and cultivating a sound and style that would prove hugely inspirational throughout the 1990s and beyond. Where most demos are little more than a dry run for the 1st album, "in memoriam" still has its own distinct and important identity in the CATHEDRAL canon.
