Paving the way for acts such as A DAY TO REMEMBER and THE STORY SO FAR, SET YOUR GOALS carved out their niche with this release. Short and sweet, these are the 6 tracks that started it all. DEATH-METAL/INDUSTRIAL. Devin Townsend has always been open about being diagnosed with Bipolar, and it's abundantly clear on STRAPPING YOUNG LAD's out of this world 1995 debut. Tracks "cod metal king" and "the filler" have an industrial flavor reminiscent of MINISTRY and FEAR FACTORY, while "goat" displays a southern metal tinged groove that stands nicely next to PANTERA. Despite poor sales on the initial release nearly 25 years ago "heavy as a really heavy thing" gained a cult following and helped launch Devin's career into progressive metal icon-status, while simultaneously influencing the likes of GOJIRA and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN. The new version is pressed on 180gr vinyl with the 2006 re-master bonus tracks and housed inside a sturdy gatefold-jacket. * RECORD STORE DAY 2018 *

MOD/SOUL-PUNK. SUEDEHEAD was an undefinable band of punks playing northern-soul in Southern California in the earlier part of this decade who deserve a discography more than most. Additionally, it has their vinyl only tracks from their split 7"s with R'N'R and THE HOPE CONSPIRACY as well as the tracks from their original self titled 7" and demo. HARDCORE. Originally released in a single pressing in 2003, this is the 1st time in over decade that this album has been available. If early '80s punk was the soundtrack to the decline of America, THE SUICIDE FILE was the soundtrack to the apocalyptic beginning of the millennium. Combining thundering riffs with elements of '80s and '90s hardcore, THE SUICIDE FILE created a new sound that is entirely their own. Featuring ex-members of DEATH BY STEREO, THE HOPE CONSPIRACY, NO REPLY and ADAMANTIUM. This is a great mix of old-school and new-school hardcore with intelligent lyrics. Colored (grey) vinyl is limited to 1000 copies. * BLACK FRIDAY 2015 *
