GARAGE/PUNK-ROCK. THEE SPIVS are back with their 3rd album in as many years and with "the crowds and the sounds" they've honed their canny blend of trad punk, garage-punk, post-punk, classic English rock'n'roll and pub-rock to create a magnificently varied album. Drawing from a more diverse array of influences, THEE SPIVS have lapped up and reimagined sounds from bands such as THE TELEVISION PERSONALITIES, THE RAMONES and early WIRE. The new album is a natural progression from their critically acclaimed debut "taped up" and follow up "black and white memories". The new album is instantly more melodic and you can see additional influences from the very British qualities of THE KINKS.

POP/POST-PUNK. "desperate ground", the new album from THE THERMALS, is exactly what the title implies. A dangerous path. A crucial moment. A split second in time when you must stand and defend, kill or be killed. Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. No problem! THE THERMALS have been through worse, and have always lived to tell the tale. Since their zerofi pants-a-burning debut THE THERMALS have blazed their way through a decade filled with enough fear and loathing to last the rest of the century. "desperate ground", is a true scrappy and scratchy return-to-form for THE THERMALS, with all the raw power and unhinged adolescent energy that made their early records so insanely enjoyable. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POP/POST-PUNK. "fuckin a" is THE THERMALS' 2nd album, and it was originally released by Sub Pop in 2004. In the 4 days it took to record the new record, THE THERMALS create what is the perfect follow-up to the chaotic pop madness of their 2003 debut, "more parts per million". "fuckin a" is another 28min triumph for THE THERMALS - screaming, piercing, as painful and discordant as it is joyous and melodic. Every track is pushed deep into the red, wrapped in a thick sheet of distortion, and served on a tattered blanket of very questionable fidelity. In other words, THE THERMALS are still THE THERMALS. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POP/POST-PUNK. "more parts per million" is THE THERMALS' 1st album, and it was originally released by Sub Pop in 2003. THE THERMALS, from Portland present to you their debut full-length, "more parts per million", in all its lo-fi glory! Distorted guitars, distorted bass, distorted drums, and distorted vocals collide into perfect, distorted pop songs. "more parts per million" is one of those records that makes the worst spells of depression instantly seem like hazy, nonsensical, memories and fills you with gushing desire and lust for life.

POP/POST-PUNK. "the body the blood the machine" is THE THERMALS' 3rd album, and it was originally released by Sub Pop in 2006. With a wider, brighter, and wilder sound than anything they've done in the past, this record adds walls of guitars, organs, and even a few "ballads" (a.k.a. slightly pretty songs) to the mix, while still retaining the gritty post-pop-punk sound for which they're globally famous. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POP/POST-PUNK. The album - which will arrive ahead of the 10th anniversary of their acclaimed 3rd album "the body, the blood, the machine", is an authentic, dark, and deeply personal album couched in The THERMALS' trademark catchy and boundless pop/rock. Technology, love and death are the three obsessions of the record. "we disappear" is a walk through modern life and love, and despite its dark themes, THE THERMALS here deliver one of their most spirited, anthemic, and rousing releases to date. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. THICK AS BLOOD is a hardcore band from Miami. "embrace" is the anticipated follow-up to their debut "moment of truth" that finds THICK AS BLOOD evolving into a much heavier, faster and more brutally honest band. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered at the infamous Machine Shop (Lamb Of God, Every Time I Die). Enhanced CD includes "the making of embrace" (video).

HARDCORE. THICK AS BLOOD has one goal in mind, and that is to get their music out to as many people as possible, while trying to be the best at what they do. Carrying the torch for South Florida straight-edge, this seven-piece has toured up and down the East Coast and spreading their message and playing thundering hardcore in the vein of xBISHOPx, HATEBREED and FIRST BLOOD. "moment of truth" cuts straight to the point - 10 tracks of frantic hardcore start to finish.

PUNK 'N' ROLL. Rock 'n' roll is not dead. This statement resonates on every track of "when dreams become reality", the debut album from THIEVES & LIARS. The San Diego-based power trio using recording techniques from the late '60s and early '70s - the band tracked most of the record live, giving the songs a very natural and warm sound. This 71min. masterpiece is sure to instill hope in today's rock 'n' roll scene; there is a revival coming and the preachers are THIEVES & LIARS.

HARDCORE. THIEVES AND ASSASSINS are a melodic modern-hardcore band from Long Island. Taking influences from their home turf-CRIME IN STEREO etc., they mix in a heavy dose of contemporary melodic hardcore as well as some of the earlier-mid period melodic items in the Dischord catalog. Other bands are a good reference point for a quick description of style but THIEVES AND ASSASSINS have a very different sound and approach from most of what’s going on out there right now. Ex-member of THE BACKUP PLAN, THIS IS HELL, TAKE MY CHANCES to name a few.

HARDCORE. THINK I CARE has only recently begun to earn the respect and recognition they've long deserved. Musically, picture 4 guys who grew up on early 80s Boston hardcore, give them copies of CELTIC FROST's "morbid tales" and SHEER TERROR's "just can't hate enough" and witness the mongrel it spawns. Never dramatic, these guys play the best kind of hardcore; abrasive, and totally genuine.

CD 12.50€*

HARDCORE. Long Island's THIS IS HELL is releasing their sophomore album "misfortunes". This is about as authentically nasty and aggressive as the NYC hardcore style could get without becoming something else entirely. From the 1st chord which emerges from a swirl of feedback, "misfortunes" is a juggernaut which never slows. Whereas most bands would opt for the stripped down, more intimate song to break things up, these guys ignore the laws of common decency and crank it up even faster. "misfortunes" shows what happens when the youth-crew grow up, master their instruments and get some decent money to spend in the studio: all hell breaks loose!

CD 12.50€*

HARDCORE. Picking up where bands like AMERICAN NIGHTMARE left off, THIS IS HELL brings us 14 heart renching songs. "sundowning" serving of floor-punching, ass-kicking hardcore goodness that has more than a hint of old-school flavor baked throughout. If you have any interest at all in the handful of modern-hardcore bands that are keeping the genre fresh and exciting without flirting with metal, THIS IS HELL should certainly be on your to-listen list. Repress on red and black marble vinyl.

SCREAMO-HARDCORE. "death in the audobon ballroom" features 9 songs, and it is the 1st full-length from THIS MACHINE KILLS. Their sound is a mixture of classic early '90s hardcore influences such as MEREL and ICONOCLAST combined with a more modern screaming vocal assault. Their lyrics are extremely political and both formats come with 20 page booklets that include art, photos, and text.

POP-PUNK. Don't be surprised if 2010 is the year real pop-punk re-emerges, with THIS TIME NEXT YEAR leading the charge. THIS TIME NEXT YEAR will be your new TAKING BACK SUNDAY, MOVIELIFE and NEW FOUND GLORY rolled into one. Anthemic, catchy, want to singalong to songs are the band's specialty and their debut full-length, "road maps and heart attacks", features 11 tracks of their best material to date.
