HARDCORE. The godfathers of NYC hardcore make their triumphant return to Fat Wreck Rcords with this 17-track banger. Every bit as potent as their classics, "wake the sleeping dragon" is a punch in the teeth that ranges from serious political issues to tongue-in-cheek takes on modern society. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

SXE-HARDCORE. Out of all the straight-edge bands of the late '80s, SIDE BY SIDE seems to be one of the most underrated. They're not as popular as GORILLA BISCUITS, as influential as YOUTH OF TODAY, or as musically advanced as BOLD, but nonetheless "you're only young once" is a powerful album. Remastered to be better than ever, this release has been expanded to a full-length packed with unreleased studio, live, and practice recordings. Colored (gold) vinyl version includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. SIEGE was one of those more than awesome hardcore bands from Boston that influenced hundreds and hundreds of bands over the years. These 9 tracks were recorded in 1984 at Radio Beat in Boston. This is a classic - a must have for anyone interested in ‘80s hardcore. INFEST, DROP DEAD, HERESY, RIPCORD… all of these bands were completely influenced by SIEGE. This "30th anniversary edition" got restored with definitive sound from the original sessions' outtakes.

PUNK-ROCK. Austin's SIGNAL LOST 2nd album and sophomore release "prosthetic screams" combines a WIPERS-styled guitar moodiness, AVENGERS-esque sung female vocals, an on-point rhythm section, altogether echoing everything from mid-period TSOL, classic 80's new wave, UK peace-punk and at the same time reveling in the same dark outlook and spirit akin to most stuff on the Prank Label. This release is the strongest definition of the band yet, with widely marked progression within 10 varied tracks, ranging from almost radio friendly pop-punk to all out hardcore ragers to moody mid-tempo tracks with surf-ish guitar. SIGNAL LOST features members of DEATHREAT, BALANCE OF TERROR, SEVERED HEAD OF STATE and J-CHURCH... Sounds like none of those bands with their own unique bent, but just as great!

POST-HARDCORE. Losing a guitarist and bassist would kill most bands, but in the case of SINCE BY MAN it has only made them stronger. Their new MCD, "a love hate relationship" finds them growing leaps and bounds from their dynamic debut "we sing the body electric". The new additions have stepped right in and added depth while maintaining the original line-up's tight, almost methodical sound. It's rare that a band this young possesses such defined chops, but SINCE BY MAN is the rarest of animals.

POST-HARDCORE. SINCE BY MAN are rising once again with their sophomore full-length, "pictures from the hotel apocalypse". The evolution of the band is evident in the tormented screams of Sam Macon, as desperate and disillusioned as ever. The vocals pour over a sound that is at times mystical and airy, bringing to mind comparisons to MOGWAI and also a discordant, massive assault of metal tinged guitar work in the vein of CONVERGE, BOTCH and DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN. And in this, SINCE BY MAN has created a compelling and ever-expanding idea of melody.

POST-HARDCORE. SINCE BY MAN have the intensity of CONVERGE, danceability of the SWING KDS, melodic sensibility of MILEMARKER and a vision all of their own. Formed in Milwaukee, 1999 SINCE BY MAN have created a solid foundation after 3 releases on smaller indie labels, all now out of print. Together this five-piece form a cohesive, powerful unit that aims to give back to the musical community some of the sincerity and inspiration that it gave them. "we sing the body electric" has a maturity unusual in a debut full-length though the precision and intensity shows their youth.

SXE-HARDCORE. Seattle’s SINKING SHIPS Revelation debut album, "disconnecting", is a look at the trials and tribulations that we go through in everyday life. Weaving elements of melody and hard edge riffs, SINKING SHIPS are creating a sound all their own, somewhere between the familiar echoes of hardcore bands such as BANE and IN MY EYES, but making their own unique, morose overtones a distinctly new addition to this sound. The rhythm section gives the aggressive feel from past acts such as CHAIN OF STRENGTH and a melodic nod to Louisville’s BY THE GRACE OF GOD. SINKING SHIPS then take it a step further, adding guitar melodies reminiscent of AVAIL or even STRIKE ANYWHERE. Colored (burgundy) vinyl got re-mastered and includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE-PUNK. Established in NYC, in 1985, SIX & VIOLENCE immediately made an impression in the New York hardcore scene. They shared the stage, studio, and scene with all bands of that era. Their songs shared punk rock's criticism of organized religion, corporate America and conventional thinking but did so in a unique, comedic way, matched with an unparalleled live show. This double CD set compiles 59 tracks spanning the band's career from 1985 to 2005.

GRINDCORE. Rising from the ashes of grimy mincecore recording, SIX BREW BANTHA have conjuered up a scathing mince-grind/blasting beast of a recording with all the aural complexities and necessary dirt where needed. This album however, truly shows what SIX BREW BANTHA are capable, which is more advanced than anything AGATHOCLES, ARCHAGATHUS, and shows that this Canadian trio can grind with the best of them. The guitar is just beefy, especially when the palm muted riffs come into play. The songs on here all seem well thought out and crafted too, and display a lot of fastcore traits like stop/start riffs and constant tempo changes.

HARDCORE. Spawned from the ashes of CROWN OF THORNZ these kings from Queens crack the hardcore scene between the eyes with their two-fisted, streetwise style. Their 1998 release, "kings at crime", contained bruising yet sincere lyrics dealing with revenge, honor, and heartbreak, taking the listener on a hardcore joyride through a land where drugs, money, and sex reign supreme. Colored (yellow) vinyl is limited to 100 copies and includes a digital download card.

CRUST-HARDCORE. This release compiles all the out-of-print early SKITSYSTEM material. The essential early recordings from 1995-1998 are here, the "profithysteri" 7", split 7" with WOLFPACK and the "ondskans askinte" 10". These are the most raw and brutal SKITSYSTEM recordings in the classic '80s Swedish hardcore tradition of ANTI CIMEX, CRUDE SS, ASOCIAL and AVSKUM with just a hint of black- and death-metal influence. The poster insert of this release has a well written history of the band and discography.

CRUST-HARDCORE. "stigmata" is the 3rd full-length of dark and menacing Swedish hardcore from the masters. It is also the 1st recording to feature Micke (of MARTYRDÖD) on 2nd guitar. This album takes one step deeper into the dark realm that SKITSYSTEM has created with heavy metallic, crunchy guitars, harshly growled and screamed vocals and a constant d-beat of the drums.

ELECTRO/POST-ROCK. SKY EATS AIRPLANE marries bombastic, jagged edged rock with cutting edge electronica beats and the result is freakin' cool. This is not a generic product you will be able to find at the local supermarket; the band has kicked down the walls of conventional music and is plowing the field to create the foundation of a new genre that will surely be emulated by the next generation of forward thinking bands.
