POST-ROCK. RAH BRAS return with their 1st release on Lovitt Records in 3 years with "eps", a remastered collection of their 3 out-of-print MCDs originally released on Lovitt, Vermiform, and Lungcast Records. They establish and fortify their unnerving pageant of synthy hooks, primal beats, and bravado in this sumptuous release.

POST-ROCK. RAH BRAS begin again with their latest album, "whom". For the last decade, the trio has been spelunking the nether regions of pop, pomp, and punk on a smattering releases. Their genre-defying audio promiscuity has fermented into the anvil-drop-rock of 2005's "whohm". Heavy synths grind and squeal upon pure propulsion as lyrics wax solipsistic over the cyclical nature of all modern man's foists and foibles. With rogue song structures and plenty of surprises around every corner, RAH BRAS continue to master the art of not boring themselves by subjugating the rock idiom to their every whim.

HARDCORE. RAMALLAH is the product of Rob Lind (BLOOD FOR BLOOD, SINNERS AND SAINTS) taking a quick snapshot of the current turmoil of the world with the angry camera of his soul. Musically, RAMALLAH blends apocalyptic metal and chorus-oriented hardcore with eerie melody to result in a potent style of aggressive music. On RAMALLAH's debut full length, "kill a celebrity", Rob cohesively blends the best elements of metal, hardcore, and rock 'n' roll, to create a challenging and disturbing epic masterpiece that is as much political and prophetic as it is personal and revealing.

HARDCORE. RAMBO hail from Philadelphia and play heavy, fast, and thrashy hardcore that has great singalongs and mosh parts all over the place. Their lyrics span a variety of topics including riding bikes, moshing, riots, anarchy, religion, and a whole bunch of other important shit. This band stands for a lot of serious things, but also takes time to have fun, which is the way it should be. Their LP comes with a huge lyric booklet, filled to the brim with explanations and information, not to mention the incredible artwork of Mike Bukowski. The CD version features an 18min. video that has clips from a bunch of RAMBO shows that are just a total fucking riot, literally! The band wears camo and stages huge riot re-enactments with kids in the pit dressed up as either cops or protestors.

PUNK-ROCK. "honor is all we know" is much like RANCID's other records in the sense that it is filled with the stories and characters that populate the band's lives, and reflects the cultural and political climate in which it was written and recorded. It has classic RANCID songcraft: 2 minute songs packed with melody, personally empathetic and politically denunciatory. But "honor is all we know" is also unique in that it is filled with the growing insight of a band who has been doing this for a while now. Vinyl includes a CD version with an additional track.

PUNK-ROCK. This CD compiles 21 total lost tracks spanning the prolific career of RANCID, who have stood the test of time, playing East-Bay punk-rock with plenty of sincerity for the better part of 15 years. This a wonderful mix of the modern-punk godfathers' blend of punk, ska and of course root reggae based rock. Released by the band on their own label, Rancid Records.

PUNK-ROCK. RANCID's 2nd full-length, released in 1994, is disarmingly good from start to finish. With roots set firmly in their Berkeley punk-rock origins, on "let's go" RANCID set out with heart, soul and vehemence to reach new heights in their music. All the of the songs bristle with the unmatched signature of Tim Armstrong's intensely evocative writing style. Colored double 10" comes with a gatefold-cover.

HARDCORE. With amazing melodies, crazy song structures and just plain aggressiveness at the right moments, "infinite water" is destined to raise eyebrows worldwide. Their 2nd record features the debut of new vocalist Ivo who lifts the music to an entirely new level. Europe now has a band able to fill the void left behind with the demise of Sweden’s REFUSED (damn...maybe that's a little too much, but fuck). CD comes in deluxe slipcase packaging.

HARDCORE. Detroit's favorite illegitimate sons RAZZLE DAZZLE are back with their much anticipated debut full-length, "Strictly saucers". Twelve THC-infused party anthems, merging big SABBATH riffs, hip hop flows, and NYHC worship, easily (and thankfully) setting them apart from their boring hardcore contemporaries. If you miss the days of the beer-spraying, bong-ripping BEASTIE BOYS, RAZZLE DAZZLE will surely quench your cottonmouth.

STREET/FOLK-PUNK. After 23 years of traversing the globe to spread their festive, high-octane, booze-fueled brand of punk-rock, THE REAL MCKENZIES show no sign of slowing. With street-punk standards highlighted by traditional Scottish musical elements, "rats in the burlap" is the perfect representation of what the band does best. From fast-paced, ultra-riffy punk classics to penny whistle and playfully ambles the sing-along spirit of the album never lets up. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

STREET/FOLK-PUNK. Featuring a diverse and insanely talented roster of musicians, THE he REAL MCKENZIES draw on both acoustic and electric instruments to blend a potent concoction of classic punk, rock 'n' roll and traditional Celtic influence. Blistering punk-rock boot stompers stand alongside passionate singalong ballads while good times and joyous camaraderie are always the order of the day. Their latest offering, "westwinds", is packed to the brim with roaring, rollicking, and epic tales that shanghai the listener on a 13 song, sea-tossed journey. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

METALCORE. After an independently released MCD, Albany, NY's RECON present their debut full-length of 11 punishing tracks packed to the gills with breakdowns, not unlike ACACIA STRAIN, EMMURE and BURY YOUR DEAD. "Welcome to viper city" is a powerhouse record which includes guest vocals from the vocalists of ACACIA STRAIN and SKINLESS. RECON were able to create the album they dreamed of. 2008 will be the year of the snake, watch out.

EMO-PUNK-ROCK. RED CITY RADIO's sophomore full-length album, "titles", was recorded with the pressure of following up a beloved debut record. RED CITY RADIO responded with 10 tracks that expand upon the punk structure they built with "the dangers of standing still". The band grows in different directions, at times becoming grittier while in other cases sprawling out into new territory.

PUNK-ROCK. The RED DONS are the continuation of THE OBSERVERS. After members abruptly left the band in 2005, THE OBSERVERS' lead singer teamed up with some other guys (member from CLOROX GIRLS as well) and re-named this new line-up RED DONS. "death to idealism" is the group's 1st full-length album, and is perfect for fans of THE VICIOUS, NO HOPE FOR THE KIDS, CLOROX GIRLS, and of course THE OBSERVERS. As to be expected, this record stays in tune with the melancholy, melodic, and sometimes unpredictable punk sounds of THE OBSERVERS.

CD 8.00€*

PUNK-ROCK. RED DONS (contains former/current members of CLOROX GIRLS, BORN/DEAD, SODA POP KIDSm PHYSICAL CHALLENGE) successfully develops their unique style even further. Coded lyrics about vagabond characters moving back and forth between the lines of the current climate of fear and suspicion that has been brought upon the USA by the war on terror. Again, consistent songwriting and a great production make this record stand out among the current competition. Combining TSOL-like vocals, So-Cal punk rage, and the defiant melancholy of Northwesterners like the WIPERS. This powerful release rises above the stack of contemporaries that take on the early '80s punk sound. No retro fashion hype, no flavor of the month.
