INDIE/EMO-ROCK. PIEBALD was perhaps one of the most beloved bands in the indie-rock and emocore crossover genre. Starting out in 1994, the band released a ton of songs throughout their decorated career. Some of these songs are hard to find because most of the releases they appeared on are out-of-print now. "volume 1", the 1st of 3 volumes, will feature 2 discs containing their early years including the album "when life hands you lemons". Also included are rarities from their split 7" with CAVE IN and early recordings with now famed producer Brian McTernan.

INDIE/EMO-ROCK.This, their 3rd full-length release features their finest work to date as well as top notch production from legendary producer Paul Kolderie (Pixies, Radiohead, Morphine). Using everything from trumpets to bongos to (40) screaming six-year old children, this new record will surely amaze any fan of the genre then expand to make fans out of everyone else.

INDIE-ROCK. On one hand, their 5th album, "information retrieved" is the logical and accessible realization of a sound PINBACK has been developing and refining for over a decade. However, that consistency that they've taken for granted is what makes "information "etrieved" such a euphoric surprise - their finest and most fully realized album. They could have coasted on automatic pilot to another lauded album that likely would have made it onto plenty of year-end lists, but instead they shot the moon, and the result is a major triumph.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. Age and a total of 4 full-lengths haven't mellowed PISSED JEANS - they can still unleash a blare that will exfoliate your cochlea. The songs on "honeys" are direct without being obtuse, evocative without being vague, and personal without being indulgent. They also rock like nobody's business. Do yourself a favor and forget all the claptrap you've heard about other bands delivering the goods. PISSED JEANS trucks in menacing songs about insecurity, and nobody has ever done it better. "honeys" is a nasty album that pulls as much from bands like THE JESUS LIZARD and FLIPPER as it does from BLACK FLAG. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. PISSED JEANS is set to go, with 10 songs of dirty low-fi punk. Thick-as-glue punk bombast and Aussie sludge stoke the coals of your existence. This 2nd full-length is diverse, but the PISSED JEANS ain't no dilettantes. Mixing volatility with humor is a hard thing to master in music. PISSED JEANS do it with smarts and poignancy. Consider the bar raised. If your a fan of old SST or Touch & Go releases, speaking of THE JESUS LIZARD, FLIPPER and even the BLACK FLAG you should buy this item at once. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. If 2005's "shallow" was PISSED JEANS coping with moving out of their parents' homes and 2007's "hope for men" their initial reaction to the mechanical lifestyle of a wage-earner, "king of jeans" is their formal and uneasy acceptance of adulthood, by way of one hell of a rock record. PISSED JEANS have pushed further into the raw, minimal core of heavy rock music with "king of jeans". Masters of the mundane, beasts of the banal, high priests of the humdrum: these four, white, male high school graduates hardly look further than their own appendages for artistic inspiration, content to execute their own brand of brash and heavy punk music. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. PISSED JEANS and Sub Pop have teamed up to reissue "shallow", the band's long-out-of-print debut album from 2006. PISSED JEANS crawl out from under hardcore's seedy underbelly to blast out 8 tracks of droning punk-noise. Calling to mind the warped visions of FANG, FLIPPER, the PISSED JEANS point a dirty mirror at themselves, with fractured tales of woe in front of a harsh, blown-out backdrop. Recommended for people who never get out of bed, pop their zits with sweaty fingers and didn't have a date for the prom. Vinyl version includes a digital download card and bonus 2-song 7".

PUNK-ROCK. Carrying the same intensity and urgency as it had upon its original release in 1995 "ideas are bulletproof" was the only full-length output from THE PIST, who were born of the same scene as THE UNSEEN, THE CASUALTIES, AUS-ROTTEN etc., bringing a hard-driving UK 1982 sound with Al's signature snarling vocals spewing socially-driven lyrics. Back to back punk anthems, 18 tracks of classic catchy and inspiring rebellious punk-rock. If you've never heard THE PIST, this is the place to start. THE PIST combined hard driving punk in the BLITZ tradition with gut level lyrics that were simple and to the point, but very well thought out.

PUNK-ROCK. "another round" shows the band's maturity and delivers an impressive 2nd record. An awe-inspiring testament to true punk-rock, driving beats singalong choruses and socially conscious lyrics from Los Angeles' pride and joy do this one right.

PUNK-ROCK. Hailing from Oakland, California, PITCH BLACK churn out a ghastly style of punk which has been infecting the Bay-Area for years and is now taking over the world. Expanding on their already established sound of fast, aggressive punk PITCH BLACK have now mixed it up with more tempo changes and added keyboards for the ultimate horror experience. Truly the modern sound. Featuring members from THE NERVE AGENTS, SCREW 32 and STRESSBOY.

POST-PUNK. PITCH BLACK's "This is the modern sound" comes to us two years after their self-titled Revelation debut and it is well worth the wait. PITCH BLACK have retained the dark, imposing feeling of their earlier work while adding depth and a level of maturity that brings to mind bands like HOT SNAKES, BURNING BRIDES, or THE EX. PITCH BLACK have grown up and this record is the proof.

HARDCORE. Old style hardcore reminiscent of mid '80s era NYC hardcore ala JUDGE or even CRO-MAGS. Spitefull lyrics, full speed riffing, and powerful breakdowns round out this album.
