POST-ROCK. SONGS: OHIA's Jason Molina and CENTRO-MATIC's Will Johnson team up for their 1st collaboration. Jason Molina and Will Johnson have made the musical equivalent of that length of Arkansas highway. The 14 tracks on this self-titled full-length comprise an especially slow drive through somber countryside, windows up and speed limit carefully maintained. Together, usually accompanied by little more than acoustic guitar and piano, they create emotionally rich musical miniatures that only ever take up as much room - both musically and lyrically.

EMO-ROCK. Sehr gut! Tipp!

SLUDGE/NOISE-ROCK. Hail the dawn of the new era. MONNO have come a long way, extending their malignant nature through thick layers of fog. For this new burial they've built a soundtrack like creeper with traces of gargling glass. Without doubt their most brutal and menacing album to date, etheric yet droning vocals covered in doom frost. Gradually moving into uptempo black-metal waters, than backdropping in sludge mystery like a free-jazz bat in the night. Every time catching the listener by surprise and pushing them in warped directions. Think along the abandoned shores of CORRUPTED, BURNING WITCH, NOOTGRUSH, Albert Ayler and ULVER. The darkness, it all started in their hearts. Limited vinyl edition of 500 copies includes a digital download card.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. "for my parents" is the new album by MONO, the Japanese quartet who - over the course of half a dozen albums in twice as many years - has followed their own muse, and in the process has become one of the most distinctive bands of the 21st century. They are an instrumental-rock band whose melodies have grown increasingly lyrical, with increasingly transcendent execution. There is no doubting a MONO song when you hear it, and no denying their uncanny ability to feel perfectly at home in both pristine symphony halls and dirty rock clubs.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. In the beginning, MONO combined the ugly washes of noise pioneered by MY BLOODY VALENTINE with the beautiful, subtle guitar figures of SLINT and MOGWAI. Eventually, their classical influences broke through, pushing the music to structural and emotional extremes that owed as much to BEETHOVEN as it did BLACK SABBATH and NEUROSIS. This release contains all of MONO's rare and out of print tracks, perfectly displaying their astounding growth. All tracks have been re-mastered from their original tapes. CD boasting absurdly beautiful deluxe packaging.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. To celebrate their 10th anniversary as a band, MONO gave a once-in-a-lifetime concert in New York City with a 24-piece orchestra, resulting in one of the most transcendent concert experiences ever witnessed. For a decade fans have clamored for a MONO album that matches the catharsis of their infamous live shows, and "holy ground" overwhelmingly delivers. Included with the album is a stunning live DVD documenting the entire 90min. performance, featuring live orchestral versions of many of MONO’s most beloved songs.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. After years of enduring hundreds of requests for a repress of MONO's breakthrough 2nd album, "one step more and you die", Temporary Residence have finally come to their senses. Rather than simply repress the original single-record version, they decided to include the out-of-print "new york soundtracks" album as well, featuring remixes of "one step more" songs by CALLA, LOREN CONNORS, JACKIE-O-MOTHERFUCKER and some more.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. This is a nearly 120 min. document of the recording sessions for 2006's "you are there", and the several world tours that followed its release. In addition to the dozen live songs documented in all their sweaty fury, the film captures the decidedly less glamorous aspects of being an underground rock band from a foreign country (Japan), expressing sentiments through body language out of necessity, and driving, lots and lots of driving. Most effectively, the film displays the friendships that have made MONO's journeys enjoyable, and the fanatical dedication that has made it all possible.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. Throughout their career, this Japanese quartet has ascended consistently in both popularity and critical acclaim. But still elusive is the successful translation of their powerful and violently beautiful live performances to their recordings, until now. Once again recorded by Steve Albini, the album extends the cinematic drama of 2003's "walking cloud and deep red sky, flag fluttered and the sun shined" while surpassing the sinister heaviness of 2002's lauded "one step more and you die". If "walking cloud.." was a nuclear winter, then "you are there" is the post-war rebirth. This band isn't heavy like BLACK SABBATH - they're heavy like BEETHOVEN.

HARDCORE. Forged in the grit and grime of Los Angeles, MORE TO PRIDE brings to you a tale of anger, frustration, and everyday struggle. Following in the footsteps of their recent predecessors, MORE TO PRIDE pulls influence from the speed and intensity of INTERNAL AFFAIRS, the anger and spirit of CARRY ON, and mixes it with the east coast influence of FLOORPUNCH and earlier NO WARNING. Amongst all of this lies an unparalleled vocal delivery bursting with anger over the frustration of everyday life and the struggle to stay alive in an environment that is trying to beat them down.

DOOM/CRUST-METAL. "untold wait" is the 1st full-length from this Boston crust outfit. MORNE feature members of FILTH OF MANKIND, GRIEF and DISRUPT as well as others. They have a distinctive style which is based on elements of early UK crust such as AMEBIX and AXEGRINDER and newer heavy bands like NEUROSIS and ASSUNDER to create a immense wall of sound that is absolutely crushing. "untold wait" is heavy, brooding and venomous.
