TEST OF TIME started very organically in the spring of 2012 among a group friends with a mutual admiration for the straight-edge and a desire to form a band that was different from what was currently dominating the Boston scene. Their B9 debut and follow-up to their 2012 demo is an aggressive onslaught of thoughtful and melodic youth-crew hardcore likely to please fans of YOUTH OF TODAY, TURNING POINT and IN MY EYES. POST-HARDCORE. This split 10" features Richmond, Virginia's TIGERSHARK (ex-THE ASSISTANT, THE SETUP) and South Carolina maniacs THANK GOD (ex-ANTICHISM, GUYANA PUNCHLINE), with 3 tracks from each band. TIGERSHARK plays heavy, down-tuned and raw hardcore for fans of early MELVINS, HIS HERO IS GONE, etc.. THANK GOD offers a blend of spastic and discordant punk with screamy, post-hardcore leanings. This split is limited to just 495 copies, and shows an awesome silkscreened chipboard jacket. A shure winner!

GARAGE-ROCK. From the same misty mountaintop tape spool as August's "a weird exits", THEE OH SEES brings the companion album "an odd entrances". Delving more towards the contemplative than the face-skinning aspects of its predecessor, this sister album is a cosmic exercise en plein aire with John Dwyer and company double-drum shuffling, lounging with cellos, following a flute around the groove and spooling a few Grimm-dark lullabies along the way. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

GARAGE-ROCK. After a breakup scare, the California psych-garage crew led by frontman John P. Dwyer return with "drop", an album that is once again laden with guitar fuzz, experimentation with other instruments, and sweet ballads, all with their unchecked energy propelling the band through nine tracks. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

GARAGE-ROCK. Here we have a new batch from THEE OH SEES for your absorption - nine muscular tunes primed to pummel. "mutilator defeated at last" has more in common with the monolithic hugeness of "floating coffin". With only 2 brief reprieves from its onslaught, this record is made to be played loudly and demands bodily sacrifice. Despite the plutonium heavy feel, THEE OH SEES continue to be omnivorous. Synths and acoustic guitars wind throughout the album like veins of gold through granite. Any and all that stands in its way will be devoured and assimilated. This is the sound of a band doing what they do best. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
