HARDCORE. TEAR IT UP were from New Jersey and take their name from a JERRY'S KID'S song. If that gives you one clue here's another, several of these guys were in DEAD NATION. Fast high-energy hardcore. Part of the revival of back to basics hardcore that is swept the nation in the Y2K era. TEAR IT UP takes on scene sell outs, rapists and society in their lyrics. All the while reflecting the alienation of the outsider in the lonely crowd.

HARDCORE. TECH 9 are without a doubt one of the pioneers of the Dutch street-core scene. Mixing elements of oi! and street-punk with the rage of European hardcore, often called "eurocore", TECH 9 delivered some amazing, but above all, furious records in their days. Unfortunately only their last ever album, "bite the bullet", got released on vinyl. Now, "scars on the inside" (1996) got released on vinyl for the 1st time.

POST/INDIE-ROCK. These 3 Wisconsin lads play a great shoegaze indie-rock hybrid but its also very catchy. Their "sage" 7" is a relentless medley of distorted guitars and twisted vocals. The sound is reminiscent of recent bands like YUCK but also harks back to early PIXIES. If you go beyond the extremity and the bizarrity of some of the noises that are made you can hear some really great séance pop and it will be interesting to see how the band develops.

PUNK-ROCK. At a time when Toronto had no good bands to speak of, came TEEN CRUD COMBO with their DWARVES, ZEKE, and MOTÖRHEAD worship to grace Toronto’s eager punk and rock souls. Now long broken up, TEEN CRUD COMBO consisted of people who went on to play in RUINATION and BRUTAL KNIGHTS and put on an excellent live show. They did release a 7" on Black Lung Records but broke up before really becoming more than just a local phenomenon. This LP features 13 speedy punk songs which includes 4 from the 7" and 9 previously unreleased tracks. This is one of the best Canadian punk records in many moons.

POP-PUNK. Hailing from Richmond, TEEN DEATH has quickly made a name for themselves as one of the bands to watch calling this thriving scene home. They pack the punk punch, yet maintain an infectious sense of melody, all layered over with a great grungy vibe. Their debut release, an 7" titled "crawling" includes a digital download card.

POP/INDIE-ROCK. TEEN SUICIDE's "bonus ep" is a concise collection of songs which were only previously available via links from the band's Facebook page. The 6 tracks on are as genre-defying as their 26-track swansong album "it's the big joyous celebration, let's stir the honeypot". Though it exists as a compilation of almost-lost tracks - the MLP's refusal to be tied down to a single defining genre or mood for more than a few moments is as accurate a portrayal of TEEN SUICIDE's impetus as a band as we're ever likely to get. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

POP/INDIE-ROCK. TEEN SUICIDE's first and only proper album, "i will be my own hell because there is a devil inside my body", has been a sought-after release for many collectors after its ultra-limited vinyl release in 2012. Run For Cover Records remastered the recordings and expanded the artwork and on top you'll get 8 never-before-issued bonus tracks. Across the album's 10 songs, the band displays a knack for different sounds and styles. What becomes clear upon listening to "i will be my own hell because there is a devil inside my body" is that beneath the dreamy haze and noisy apathy of TEEN SUICIDE's recordings exist earnest, extremely well-written pop songs that reflect and express the uncertainty and desperation of reality. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POP/INDIE-ROCK. TEEN SUICIDE's 2016 album, "it's the big joyous celebration, let's stir the honeypot" is also, according to the band, their final record. Recorded over 14 months - it's both a skeleton key for the band's earlier work and a great corrective addition to it. Updating rather than refuting all of the past themes and styles of their revered 1st album and numerous 7"s, "it's the big joyous celebration..." shifts between punk, noise, country, house and a myriad of other electric dance genres to create something as messy, sprawling and captivating as its mouthful of a title. Spread over 26 tracks, there is plenty that TEEN SUICIDE's swansong has to say for itself in the band's distinct, captivating and refreshingly enjoyable voice. Colored vinyl includes a digital download and 10-page comic book.

PUNK-ROCK. TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET has amassed an army of zealous devotees and is now ready to deliver their latest pop-punk manifesto, "freak out". Right out of the gate, the punch of the title track serves notice that the Bottlerocket guys aren't fucking around. TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET's uncanny ability to craft mesmerizing melodies, highlighted by Kody's impossibly high harmonies, and what you have is a pop-punk masterpiece. Often drawing comparisons to the legendary RAMONES, TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET is certainly the modern flag bearers of the classic sound. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
