INDIE/POP-ROCK. SATURDAY LOOKS GOOD TO ME's albums from the early 2000's predicted the reverb-saturated production and girl-group revisitations that indie-rock would embrace several years down the road. "one kiss ends it all" expands on those early lo-fi marvels and feels more like a revelation than a continuance. A spontaneous and breezy vibe flows through the album's 12 selections, drawing on the reference points of '60s pop and early indie-rock, all filtered through the band's skewed pop lens. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

BLACK-METAL/ROCK. After a lengthy hiatus from the studio, Norwegian blackened unit SATYRICON have returned with their self-titled 8th album. While they began as a strictly black-metal band during that genre's Scandinavian glory days, SATYRICON later transitioned to a more straightforward style of melodic hard-rock, though they continue to embrace black-metal's themes and retain a few of its musical motifs. SATYRICON is both accessible and fist-pumping intense – a balance which makes for a pretty effective hook. Make no mistake, the band still finds the opportunity to unleash hell in the form of blistering cuts which tap deepest into the band's black-metal roots.

POST/GARAGE-PUNK. London-based punk band SAUNA YOUTH are releasing their 3rd album under the thrilling and fatal moniker "deaths". The final part in a trilogy of LPs that started with "dreamlands" in 2012, followed by "distractions" 3 years ago, the songs that comprise "deaths" are collectively about the act of finishing, an ode to "the ending".

POST/GARAGE-PUNK. SAUNA YOUTH are an evolving band of future humans making truly irregular punk, not quite comparable to anything else. "distractions" is a highly intelligent, subtle and thoroughly immersive record. Each hook and strained vocal witholds a considered approach that is testament to the brittle nature of the music that SAUNA YOUTH create. SAUNA YOUTH’s relentless high energy approach is like the snotty teenage lovechild of BUZZCOCKS and THEE OH SEES. With "distractions", SAUNA YOUTH showcase their ability to infuse a classic punk aesthetic with skilful artistry. Of course, they’re not the 1st band to do this, but there’s plenty of depth to the songs and SAUNA YOUTH more than deserve to take their place among the current cerebral punk-rock flag bearers.

POST/GARAGE-PUNK. SAUNA YOUTH's last album "distractions" on Upset the Rhythm has done very nicely so a re-press of the previous album is timely. The band, attracted to the possibilities apparent within a d.i.y. philosophy have been self-recording and self-releasing their own music since 2010, creating a number of 7"s splits and cassettes. Weird' is a meaningless platitude, and art-punk is a classifier that shouldn't be required. SAUNA YOUTH journey into the far-reaching wilds of the unfold-ing psyche and feast on the chaos within, quickly collapsing any pre-conceived notions within minutes of impolite introduction. Re-issue comes on heavy vinyl.

HARDCORE. SAVAGE is a new straight-edge band from Leipzig, Germany. It's not much of a secret what kind of core the simple minded sfr-hc staff appreciates the most - give it to us raw and ugly, make it rough and mean, and most importantly play it fucking hard! S A V A G E !

HARDCORE. THE SAVAGE AMUSED are a hard band to nail down. In their brief 8 month existence in 1985 they crafted a sound that is unlike anything else that you have ever heard. The 22 song demo reissued on this LP would seem to meld equal parts of the expected '80s Midwestern American hardcore but sets it against the non-stop guitar frenzy of contemporary Japanese bands. It's hard to tell and is far stranger than that. With vocals in the vein of NAKED RAYGUN’s earlier records and the non-stop solos of Randy Uchida this is a sound that stands apart from other recordings of the era. You really need to hear it to start to understand it. Features Alan Peters who went on to be in AGNOSTIC FRONT and helped found ABSOLUTION. This is a band that came and went fast, but left an amazing recording behind. Limited and remastered vinyl includes a huge poster inlay and a digital download card which gives a full version of the album as well as their complete set from their show opening for Agnostic Front in 1985.

OI/STREET-PUNK. The lads from Amsterdam, Holland kicking out the jams in a grey area of '77 punk, proto-oi! and pub-rock. SAVAGE BEAT delivers you another round of clean, Chiswick guitars, '77 thrills and - indeed - savage beats! Proving the world it's not dealing with a one day fly, the boys - known for their work in bands such as THE SHINNING, THE WORKS, WANDERLUST and much more - crank out their best cuts to date, not to be missed by anyone into early punk and oi! music! Time to take it further, time to get fuckin' wired!

INDIE/EMO-ROCK. SAVE ENDS returns with their 2nd album, "a book about bad luck", which finds the band continuing the growth we saw on 2016's "hug your friends". The new album features 10 songs. Yet again for fans of TIGERS JAW, GET UP KIDS. Colored vinyl is limited to 250 copies and includes a digital download card.

POP-PUNK. Though SAVE YOUR BREATH is a veteran of the UK pop-punk scene, "there used to be a place for us" is the band's 1st worldwide release filled to the brim with catchy hooks and punchy guitars for all fans of pop-punk. Colored (orange) vinyl is limited to 500 copies and includes a digital download card.

PRORESSIVE-METAL. SAVER from Oslo, Norway deliver an astounding album of sublime heaviness, shimmering moogs, abrasive vocals and a devastating, gnarly bass tone. Fans of BREACH, CULT OF LUNA: sit back, have a drink and enjoy! Much like label mates LLNN or BRIQUELLE, SAVER's sound is characterized by a strong component of apocalyptic synths and textural electronics hovering above the base of heavy guitars and bass - a mélange that works incredibly well, and has been becoming increasingly popular across the globe of heavy music lately.

EMO/INDIE-ROCK. SAVES THE DAY will be releasing "9", their 1st new album in 5 years, via seminal rock label Equal Vision Records. "9" will be SAVES THE DAYS' 9th studio record and contains 9 songs that, when listened to together, tells the story of the band from the perspective of its founder, Chris Conley. EMOCORE/MELODYCORE. The phenomenal debut full-length from these (at the time) high-school-aged New Jersey kids. Fast, catchy, poppy melodycore with some emotional overtones.

INDIE/EMO-ROCK. SAVES THE DAY is one of the rare acts that can define a genre, provide a soundtrack for a generation and yet still stay relevant 15 years after their debut album. This release marks a return to Equal Vision Records, the same label that put out their classic albums, "can't slow down" and "through being cool". Thick 180gr vinyl comes housed in a gatefold-cover and includes a digital download card.

INDIE/EMO-ROCK. There are few bands that can lay claim to helping break a new style of music the way SAVES THE DAY did years ago. After a brief stint with a major label, the band returned with "Sound the alarm" back on Vagrant Records. Also back on "Sound the Alarm" is the classic SAVES THE DAY sound with all the revved up tempos and catchy melodies SAVES THE DAY fans have grown accustomed to throughout the years.
