POST-ROCK/AMBIENT/DOOM. YEAR OF NO LIGHT are celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band this year. On the occasion of new album "consolamentum", the entire discography of the previous 4 studio albums are reissued now! YEAR OF NO LIGHT`s lengthy, sprawling compositions of towering walls of guitars and sombre synths irradiate a sense of dire solemnity and spiritual gravity, and couldn't be a more fitting soundtrack for such grim medieval scenarios. There's a thread running through all of their albums. An exploration of the sensitive world that obeys a certain telos, 1st fantasized ("ord") and reverberated ("ausserwelt"), then declaimed as a warning ("tocsin"). "vampyr" is their 4th album, originally released in 2013.

HARDCORE. By its very nature, hardcore is a conduit for channeling frustration, aggression, and discontent into musical form. But for Delaware-based five-piece YEAR OF THE KNIFE, that process is so much more than just a simple release. The band's debut full-length, "internal incarceration", is a profound reaction to the very real losses and the challenges of the world around them, and a way to turn that discontent into community, compassion, and change.

HARDCORE. YEAR OF THE KNIFE are certainly one of the more standout acts amongst their stablemates currently. Where bands like JUDICIARY write formulaic songs that still hit the mark, "ultimate aggression" proves these metallic straight-edge aficionados have their heads screwed on. "ultimate aggression is a strong statement of intent from a young band. With the current rebirth of the original metalcore sound, YEAR OF THE KNIFE have a feral combination that they’re beginning to hone. YEAR OF THE KNIFE show themselves to be at their best when cruising at a mid-tempo with classically frantic riffs crashing behind them.

HARDCORE. You know it, you love it. YEARS FROM NOW play positive melodic hardcore with seriously heavy nods from GORILLA BISCVUITS and LIFETIME, done with a circa early `90s recording job that sounds like Walter Schreifels was at the knobs. Essentially a discography, "We're gonna need a bigger boat" piles on 19 songs: the band's "So much promise" 7", demo CD-R, 8 new songs and covers by YOUTH OF TODAY and DESCENDENTS. The new songs are definitely an improvement on the band's elder material. It seems like they trade in their occasional dose of A NEW FOUND GLORY-like pop in exchange for an even more generous early Revelation influence; there's almost like a jokey JUDGE/BOLD vibe all over the songs. "We're gonna need a bigger boat" is quite obviously a perfect introduction to YEARS FROM NOW. Now all we need is a goddamn proper full-length already.

POP-PUNK. "forever comes too soon", THE YEARS GONE BY's debut full-length, surely exceeds expectations. Super catchy, yet still edgy, the album is full of hooks and singalongs. For fans of SET YOUR GOALS, THE WONDER YEARS, NEW FOUND GLORY and even BLINK 182.

DEATHCORE. Smashing their way out of the Garden State since their uprising in 2004, YEARS SPEND COLD has proven themselves as a blunt, relentless force throughout the hardcore and metal community. Solidifying their posture through the combination of current death-metal intensity and underlining classic New Jersey hardcore attitude, their sound is uncompromised. Their Eulogy Recordings debut full-length, "moving heaven to hell", will serve as a testament to the band's ferocious sound and steadfast dexterity.

FOLK/EMO-PUNK. YESTERDAY'S RING (aka SAINTE CATHERINES) are back with 9 country-folk-punk songs. One this 3rd recording, the band leans on the country side more than ever before, making use of good ole' instruments such as mandolin and banjo. If you liked their other releases, you'll love this one. This is by far their best recording. Perfect for your late night drinking or an afternoon playing horseshoes with friends.

PROGRESSIVE-HARDCORE/METAL. As you may notice, the early days', heavily mid '90s screamo influenced sound, that helped YFERE to release on renowned labels Ape Must Not Kill Ape and Denovali, has evolved into a more specific, progressive and even black-metal-ish, gritty, dark and hyperactive hardcore noise. Thematically "zirkel" deals with the ubiquity of cycles, which, in the continuous mist of change. The 8 songs reflect on how cycles interweave and construct complex relationships, which dominate our thoughts and actions, how they self-reflexively enlarge and consolidate life, the mind, the world and our existence within and our view on it. Vinyl comes in a nice gatefold-cover and includes a digital download card.

DOOM/SLUDGE-METAL. Repress of the long sold-out 2011 release on Roadburn Records. The Eugene, Oregon-based doom-metal trio has seen similar praise worldwide, with a growing host of fans citing the band as one of the most profound and accomplished doom metal phenomena of the 21st century. "live at roadburn" captures the band on their 1st European tour on which they played the prestigious Roadburn Festival. This audio document captures the band in prime form in front of a raving audience. Probably one of their best gigs ever.

EMO/POST-HARDCORE. From New Jersey, YOU AND I were a band from 1996 to 1999. INDIE/EMO-ROCK. YOU BLEW IT has returned with their highly anticipated, 3rd full-length album "abendrot". It finds the band making a strong and confident leap forward. One moment hushed and delicate, the next anthemic and impassioned. Lyrically shying away from nothing, the band tackles everything from mortality and religion to relationships, anxiety and more. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

INDIE/EMO-ROCK. YOU BLEW IT's 2nd full-length release finds the band's most mature effort while staying true to their roots. "keep doing what you’re doing" works because YOU BLEW IT successfully channel more direct influences into their songwriting while continuing to show growth. Yes, the record is more accessible because of that and some fans shy away from accessibility for some weird reason, but it’s also more memorable and will ultimately stand the test of time. Thick 180gr vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE/METAL. North Carolina's YOUNG AND IN THE WAY deliver their 2 most vicious black-metal-infused hardcore tracks to date while Canada's WITHDRAWAL offer 3 devastating tracks of dark, metallic hardcore. Colored (white) vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/POP-PUNK. With the proper amount of melody and drive that hasn't been seen since the days of TEXAS IS THE REASON, YOUNG ENGLISH takes us back to the mid '90s where the underground emocore sound reigned and felt special. The 1st 7" titled "i hate my friends" is the perfect soundtrack for the winter. Colored 7" includes a digital download card.

POP-PUNK-ROCK. YOUNG GUV is Ben Cook (FUCKED UP, NO WARNING, VIOLENT MINDS etc.). In the summer of 2018, Ben moved from his Toronto, Canada, home to a sublet in New York, and there he began writing some of the best songs of his life. This manic pace produced 2 albums worth of power-pop bliss, psychedelic riffs, and swagger that would make a Gallagher (the British ones, not the watermelon ones) blush. The end result: "guv I". Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.
