HARDCORE/METAL. RACETRAITOR’s reunion, with intentions to lambaste white nationalism amplified by Trumpian demagoguery, came with real promise. At its core, RACETRAITOR’s "2042" is a potent piece of resistance in a time where every ounce of resistance is needed. It’s hard to ignore the message when it’s being declared so violently right in your face. Without this kind of aggression, the messages that RACETRAITOR get across could falter or stutter along the way, but no. They’re pissed off with good purpose, tackling xenophobia head-on with ruthless, nostalgic metal music. "2042" is a Molotov cocktail of sociopolitical punk/hardcore soaked in extreme metal influence and anti-fascist kerosene.

HARDCORE/METAL. "burn the idol of the white messiah" was the 1st and only full-length from RACETRAITOR, who were one of the '90s most political and powerful bands. Coming from Chicago, packed with a metallic sound that bordered on grind and power-violence, they had members go on to FALL OUT BOY and others.

HARDCORE/METAL. The Chicago agitators deliver a musical molotov cocktail with the same incendiary spirit as the band's metal/hardcore missives last heard in the late-'90s. RACETRAITOR is back to take aim at this crazy election cycle with "invisible battles against invisible fortresses", the 1st new music the band has released in roughly 17 years. "invisible battles against invisible fortresses" reunites the group's classic lineup. Colored vinyl is limited to 500 copies and includes a digital download card.

INDIE-ROCK. RACQUET CLUB is a new band, but they're far from new. The band features singer/frontman Blair Shehan (THE JEALOUS SOUND/KNAPSACK) as well as guitar player Sergie Loobkoff (SAMIAM). Both are seasoned veterans with years of experience, who have resurfaced and started this exciting new band. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

GARAGE-PUNK. RADIOACTIVITY is a continuation of THE NOVICE, Jeff Burke's band while living in Japan. Jeff has since moved back to Texas, and out of respect to the Japanese lineup of the band, has changed the name to RADIOACTIVITY. Some of these songs are re-purposed NOVICE tracks, while others are brand new. Jeff is one of the most distinctive songwriters in the punk-rock underground and these songs will sound instantly familiar to any fans of THE MARKED MEN or POTENTIAL JOHNS. Band members include Jeff Burke, Mark Ryan and Gregory Rutherford, whose credits read like an all-star lineup of Texas punk and garage-rock royalty, including members of THE MARKED MEN; MIND SPIDERS, BAD SPORTS, WAX MUSEUMS, THE REDS, VIDEO and THE NOVICE. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

PUNK-ROCK. RADON was one of 2 bands that helped turn around the Gainesville punk music scene in 1991, and blazed the trail for bands like HOT WATER MUSIC and LESS THAN JAKE a few years later! They were a powerful and effective d.i.y. punk band, whose brilliance is still clear many years after their demise.

Vinyl version of their CD on Lovitt Records. After two CDeps on Lovitt and Vermiform Records, Rah Bras (with ex Mens Recovery Project and Hose Got Cable members) are ready to engage listeners once again with their concentration of melodic assault and spectacular beats. Consisting of a gigantic keyboard, bass, and drums, Rah Bras? music layers provocative vocals over tight little riffs and throbbing tempos. Ruy Blas! is an audacious concoction of pop presence and electronic abrasives that gallops the gamut from gamelan to garish. This ability to absorb an obsessive amount of rather disparate influences in order to create something so wholly new and uncontrived is a rare feat. That it comes together so effortlessly for this band awards them a certain genre-defining moment with this release. Rah Bras toured Europe in the fall.

CROSSOVER/HIP-HOP. If you've followed modern music, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE needs no introduction. If you're wondering how Revelation Records got to release a record by a band this big, you must not know that Zack was in INSIDE OUT before he started RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE. This is a Revelation exclusive 10" record featuring the track "people of the sSun" along with some unreleased tracks (including a live version of PUBLIC ENEMY's "black steel in the hour of chaos" with Chuck D helping out on vocals). New pressing on colored (green) vinyl.

CROSSOVER/HIP-HOP. Pissed off and angry is the best way to describe RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's 1st album. A fierce mix of hip-hop, hardcore and heavy-rock exploded all over the music scene in 1992. At 1st sight an unlikely band. The album even contained hitsingles like "killing in the name of" and "bullet in the head". Put the needle on the record and be blown away (again)!

LP 23.00€*

POST-ROCK. RAH BRAS return with their 1st release on Lovitt Records in 3 years with "eps", a remastered collection of their 3 out-of-print MCDs originally released on Lovitt, Vermiform, and Lungcast Records. They establish and fortify their unnerving pageant of synthy hooks, primal beats, and bravado in this sumptuous release.
