THRASH-METAL. Packed to the brim with galvanizing riffs, breakneck solos and thunderous blastbeats comes "no epitaphs," the 3rd full-length from Richmond's RAMMING SPEED. "no epitaphs" is an absolute masterclass in venomous, ripping metal/thrash. Everything is still wrapped around d-beat, thrash and grind, but there's even more of an emphasis on ferociously catchy guitar wildness than ever before. According to the band, "no epitaphs" is RAMMING SPEED's most metal record to date by far. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

THRASH-METAL/HARDCORE. A.N.S. continue to explore the realms of skate-hardcore, crossover, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, MUNICIPAL WASTE and "my war" era BLACK FLAG. On the flipside RAMMING SPEED is channeling the early Earache grinding hardcore catalog and freshening it up with some serious whammy attack, duel lead, and thrash-metal guitars.

PUNK-ROCK. "and out come the wolves" combines Dylanesque portrayals of down-and-out streetlife and personal experience with tunefully concise, dynamic songwriting to create an enduring body of work that grows better with each listen and every passing year. Styles range from the recklessly belligerent punk-rock rampage to masterful pop craftsmanship and to fully realized punk/ska hybrid. This record is deservedly among the most influential and successful of its time.

PUNK-ROCK. "honor is all we know" is much like RANCID's other records in the sense that it is filled with the stories and characters that populate the band's lives, and reflects the cultural and political climate in which it was written and recorded. It has classic RANCID songcraft: 2 minute songs packed with melody, personally empathetic and politically denunciatory. But "honor is all we know" is also unique in that it is filled with the growing insight of a band who has been doing this for a while now. Vinyl includes a CD version with an additional track.

PUNK-ROCK. This CD compiles 21 total lost tracks spanning the prolific career of RANCID, who have stood the test of time, playing East-Bay punk-rock with plenty of sincerity for the better part of 15 years. This a wonderful mix of the modern-punk godfathers' blend of punk, ska and of course root reggae based rock. Released by the band on their own label, Rancid Records.

PUNK-ROCK. RANCID's 2nd full-length, released in 1994, is disarmingly good from start to finish. With roots set firmly in their Berkeley punk-rock origins, on "let's go" RANCID set out with heart, soul and vehemence to reach new heights in their music. All the of the songs bristle with the unmatched signature of Tim Armstrong's intensely evocative writing style. Colored double 10" comes with a gatefold-cover.

PUNK-ROCK. A year long project that took the band from San Francisco to Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans and Jamaica, "life won't wait" has highlights that are as varied as they are rewarding. Of the 2 songs actually recorded in Jamaica, is a poignant addict's lament with sweet soulful vocal assists from Hepcat, while the title track features Tim and Lars sparring with dancehall kingpin Buju Banton against a canvas of urgent old school ska. Self-produced, culled from life experience, and played live in large measure, "life won't wait" is as ambitious and independent as it gets.

PUNK-ROCK. Without any reminiscing about their former band OPERATION IVY, Matt Freeman (bass) and Tim Armstrong (guitar/vocals) blast through their debut without any hints of ska or blatant CLASH plagiarizing. On the contrary, this album rips through 15 tracks of high-energy punk that's accompanied by heavy bass leads and Armstrong's permanently slurred vocals. And to top it all off, the lyrical content deals with urban blight and the lifestyle of being a public nuisance.

PUNK-ROCK. From its ominous, xeroxed album cover, to the barely legible lyric sheet to the sheer chaos invoked by the music, RANCID 2000 (as the 2nd self-titled album) is paint-peeling punk-rock of the highest order. Produced by long-time friend and producer Brett Gurewitz, most of the 22 songs clock in at well under 2min., and there are absolutely no ballads. Guitars are driven to within inches of meltdown, the bass burns with the signature maniacal virtuosity of Matt Freeman, and the vocals are delivered with raging conviction. RANCID's hardest, fastest record to date!

PUNK-ROCK. Born in the midst of the post-Reagan economic downturn in the San Francisco, the East-Bay region specifically, RANCID came to light as Armstrong and Freeman were moving forward after the first band they founded, OPERATION IVY, reached a friendly demise. Over the past 2 decades, RANCID has shown awareness of their changing environment and has established their place in it, all while never losing sight of themselves as individuals or as a band. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
