HARDCORE. PARASYTES hail from Montreal, Canada and features members of NAPALM RAID and AFTER THE BOMBS.British '80s influenced hardcore somewhat in the vein of early SACRILEDGE, but with more punk-rock, almost CHAOS UK styled, thrown in. Great riffs, great rhythms and… well, just great overall. You can pogo, while still wearing your crusty vest, to this.

METALCORE. While there are a bunch of irritatingly similar metalcore bands across the globe, PARKWAY DRIVE tower above the pretenders, and one listen to "horizons" will prove it to even the most critical listener. From the first squealing notes, the energy inherent in the album grabs the listener and hurtles them through valleys of Swedish death-metal, mountains of jaw-droppingly precise math-metal and the cactus-dotted desert of quality hardcore. Faster, heavier and more honest than ever before, "horizons" firmly cements PARKWAY DRIVE in the upper echelons of worldwide metalcore royalty.

METALCORE. PARKWAY DRIVE has taken a stunning creative leap and produced what they consider to be a career-defining statement. "ire" retains all the hallmarks of classic PARKWAY DRIVE, but it's clearly something brave and new. It's bigger, heavier, more melodic and has more depth to it than anything they've done in the past. Vinyl is hoiused in a gatefold-cover and includes a digital download card.

METALCORE. Now a global phenomenon, Australia's reigning kings of metalcore, PARKWAY DRIVE. It would be a crime to classify PARKWAY DRIVE as simply another band to alloy hardcore and metal genres into a sound more parody than paragon. "killing with a smile" is 11 tracks of pure rage, a massive sound that encompasses death riffs, punishing breakdowns, thick rhythms, mayhem inducing beats and a technical precision that borders on frightening. PARKWAY DRIVE has created their own tremendous sound and "killing with a smile" will appeal to all extreme music fans. Vinyl version includes CD of this entire album.

METALCORE. "reverence" arrives as the follow-up to 2015's "ire" - PARKWAY DRIVE's most successful album to date and a major force in boosting their ever-growing worldwide following. But while "ire" brought PARKWAY DRIVE's uncompromising artistry to bold new levels, "reverence" pushes their creative ambition even further. "reverence" both expands the band's sonic palette and offers up their most devastating songs yet. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

GRINDCORE. PARLAMENTARISK SODOMI, PSUDOKU, and now BxSxR - yet another grind creation brought to us by the Norwegian master of one-man bands. The concept behind the music of BxSxR is a story that would make Frank Zappa proud. All the lyrics were written by a failed experiment created by Norwegian scientists when they attempted to make humans out of pigs. Ultra fast hardcore grind/powerviolence with crazy lyrics! PARLAMENTARISK SODOMI - as usual - balls to the wall grind with no need for shiny production or unnecessary breakdowns and one hell of a vocal style.

POST/PROGRESSIVE-ROCK. If there is one constant with PARLOUR, it is that nothing is ever the same. For nigh 2 decades, the Louisville experimental troupe has relentlessly evolved in subtle but substantial ways. This consistent creative movement keeps the sound of PARLOUR forever curious, and impossible to predict. On the band's "self-titled" 4th album, PARLOUR pushes ferocious, dynamic guitar rock to the brink with hypnotic repetition and shifting, stabbing rhythms. With a reduced instrumental palette and increased focus on beats and riffs, the songs are more naked and intense - equal parts crashing kraut-rock, and crushing prog-rock. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/PROGRESSIVE-ROCK. "simulacrenfield" rearranges the vision set forth in previous PARLOUR releases, utilizing the septet for all it’s worth. The songs are tighter, heavier, and more melodically complex than ever before - no doubt partly contributed to the addition of Jon Cook (CRAIN, RODAN) on drums, and Breck Pipes (CEREBELLUM) on guitar. The rhythm section in a tight pocket while the guitars, keyboards and brass section trade sharp melodies and chugging riffs. Imagine a heavier, more disturbing NEU! with more unexpected twists and turns (and that’s just the jumping-off point). Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST-PUNK. PART 1 formed in 1980 and, alongside RUDIMENTARY PENI and CRASS, were part of the original London anarcho -punk scene, ultimately disbanding after playing a show with Subhumans in 1983. The band's only vinyl release during this time was the "funeral parade" MLP released in a limited run of 300 copies in 1982. As well as an anarcho-punk classic, the record is now regarded as a seminal death-rock release, largely due to the dark, heavy, flanged guitar work, morbid images and anti-religious lyrical themes. This very special reissue finally sees this lost classic receiving a long-deserved quality release: a remastered vinyl in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with accompanying horror zine "i...paraworm", packed with never-seen text and unpublished art from the pen of guitarist Mark Ferelli, all contemporaneous to the 1982 release.

HARDCORE. Originally released by Alternative Tentacles in 1984 and produced by the Dead Kennedys' East Bay Ray, "rock and roll is disco" was the debut by the lyrically tongue-in-cheek but musically brutal Bay-Area punk/metal band PART TIME CHRISTIANS. This collection includes the 8 tracks from that 1st release, 4 new tracks recorded in 2008 as well as their 9 track demo from 1983. For fans of songs about bowling, obscure early '80s hardcore and bands that sound like C.O.C., DIE KREUZEN or even VOID.

POST-PUNK. Brooklyn outfit PARTS & LABOR has dramatically altered their wall-of-sound: Their 4th album, "receivers", finds PARTS & LABOR using on open spaces, longer movements, expansive arrangements and loftier goals. On 8 epic tracks, "receivers" showcases the band's catchiest and darkest moods to date, reveling in a growing dynamic sensibility only hinted at in their previous work. They are now utilizing the full possibilities of a band that was once a scrappy punk trio, and now a mature art-rock quartet. It's a heady mix of psych, noise, and pop influenced by the arty minimalism of WIRE, the surreal pop of early ENO, and even the spaced out psychedelia of "dark side"-era PINK FLOYD.
