EMO/POP-PUNK. "the redder, the better" showcases the band's not-so-humble beginnings, as this was their MCD release before the critically acclaimed full-length back in 2008. POLAR BEAR CLUB effortlessly seams together the sounds of '90s punk and hardcore - akin to bands like LIFETIME and HOT WATER MUSIC - with a refreshingly 2000's style and their own personal twist. "the redder, the better" is an inevitable classic that's sure to please fans of many different music genres - punk, hardcore, emo and everything else in between. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

EMOCORE. Washington, D.C.'s POLICE & THIEVES carry on the tradition of melodic hardcore that DC put on the map. These CD compiles the recordings from 2005-2007 = 13 tracks and offer incredibly energetic and well played hardcore in the vein of VERBAL ASSAULT or DAG NASTY.

EMOCORE. POLICY OF THREE was one of the great (emo) hardcore bands of the late '80s and early '90s. Their sound was passionate and compeling with a sound that was cuttinge edge at the time; heavily influenced by the late '80s Dischord hardcore sound. At the time emotive hardcore was something new and exciting. It was all about passion, anger, and was really just another aspect of hardcore... long before emo was turned into frivolous pop punk. This double CD anthology captures all of their studio material (17 tracks) as well as 6 live tracks recorded in Germany in 1995 (a couple of which have never been heard before). POLICY OF THREE helped to define this sound/genera and this release is an amazing testament to one of the great hardcore bands from that time.

POST-ROCK. Following 2008’s critically acclaimed "seens" full-length the latest is less a stopgap and more a proper introduction for the Brooklyn trio. Enter Mellotron drones, three part harmonies and at the core a rhythm section that still drives each narrative with a confidence to say that less is truly more. The 9 tracks on "lake effect" are equal parts unique and obtuse, poetically indifferent and as plain as the Midwestern roots of the members themselves.

HARDCORE. POLLUTION throw in 5 tracks of heavy, disgusting hardcore played by guys who have been around long enough to show you how to do it right. The demo-tape version has already been making multiple top 10 of 2009 lists. For fans of HAIL MARY, BORN AGAINST, and DIE KREUZEN. Features members of VILLAINS and UNEARTHLY TRANCE.

PUNK-ROCK. Featuring the original drummer of BEYOND, POOR LILY is an East-Coast punk-rock phenomenon, delivering this LP that acts as more of a punk opera, themed around the NSA and mass surveillance, with a sound that takes cues from hundreds of different styles, from fast, raging hardcore to slowed-down tempos, all keeping with their important political themes. Vinyl is limited to 500 copies and includes a digital download car.

POST-PUNK. "imps of perversion", POP. 1280's 2nd full-length finds the four-piece shaking off the hangover that was their critically acclaimed LP "the horror", and diving back down into the basement to enjoy the depravity. POP. 1280 has created their most cohesive and powerful statement to date. Woven together with stories of lust, sexual confusion, temptation, and debauchery, "imps of perversion" forms a tight web of manic synth-punk, bad-trip acid jams and bludgeoning industrial beats. From the opening noise-rock blast to industrial groove, through synth-punk ripper, this new album is a celebration of making bad decisions again and again. POP. 1280 knows the party's going to have to end, but they're going to get their kicks before the drones lock in for the finale. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST/NOISE-PUNK. "paradise" builds on 2013's "imps of perversion" album by venturing further outside of traditional notions of punk, and diving even deeper into outer sounds. Synthesizers, mechanized drum machines, and samplers play as critical a role on the record. Any noise a band member could make that helped contribute to the record's atmosphere of unease was welcome. The songs lose none of their primal immediacy through the addition of these new sounds, but the instrumentation lends them a maximalist streak as well. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST-PUNK. This is the debut LP from these post-punks from Chicago.. POPULATION has been crafting their sound since 2009, very much influenced by the post-punk building blocks of JOY DIVISION and NEW ORDER which was apparent on their earlier vinyl. With the addition of a stellar new synth player, their sound has expanded into a new dark realm of intensity, aural layering, and diversity of influence "beyond the pale" describes the album perfectly as POPULATION clearly moves beyond the routines of dark-wave and death-rock. TONES ON TAIL and SISTERS OF MERCY are brought to mind on the heavier gothic-rock dance songs, all put through a punk-rock filter. Vinyl is limited to 300 copies and includes a digital download card.

POP-PUNK. Combining a BUZZCOCKS-style pop-punk sound with bawdy subject matter, gross-out toilet humour and profanity in their songs, the band released their debut 7" in 1977 on Wood Records, a subsidiary of Caroline Records created specifically for the band. Due to the lyrical content of their recordings, the band struggled for airplay, though it was known that John Peel was a fan. The true identities of THE PORK DUKES were originally a closely guarded secret, the band playing in pig masks during live performances. Following the release of the "pink pork" album the band broke up in 1979. This is the limited edition repress of the 1st PORK DUKES LP with a brand new cover and once again on lovely pink vinyl.

NOISE/AVATGARDE/AMBIENT. Another laidback compendium of R&B ballads and showtunes from MERZBOW and pals, featuring guest appearances from Sarah Brightman and Joanna Lumley. The Japanese din merchant teams up with power trio PORN (comprising MELVINS man Dale Crover on drums, bassist Billy Anderson and guitarist Tim Moss). As was the case with his BORIS collaborations, MERZBOW accompanied by a rhythm section takes some of the bite out of what he does but adds another dimension.

FOLK-PUNK. Traditional folkmusic gives way to pure punk-rock energy - these are THE PORTERS firmly rooted in the region of Düsseldorf, Germany. The 4 lads and a lady pull no punches between playful melodies played on the violin and distorted guitars. Piano, hammond organ and mandolin provide the background for ballads or rock like mad. Anyway, THE PORTERS raise their glasses high to create their own sound sometimes evocating pictures of smokefilled pubs or shabby punk-rock clubs. Enjoy folk-punk with a difference.

POST/EMO-HARDCORE. In 1994 PORTRAITS OF PAST exploded on the '90s hardcore scene. The PORTRAITS OF PAST "discography" includes their LP, their split 7" with BLEED, their track from "xxx" compilation, as well as 5 live tracks from 1995. Unfortunately, their track from the "stealing the pocket" LP compilation has been lost. This is without a doubt one of the best emotional hardcore records in existence and of course a little blast from the past!
