METALCORE. POISON THE WELL build off of the South Florida sound that hardcore kids have come to embrace over the past few years; they make hardcore all encompassing. Imagine mixing the musical and vocal stylings from HARVEST with the pure emotion that is found on a BOYSETSFIRE record, and the tight and devastating clean guitar riffing of MESHUGGAH, and you will only begin to appreciate what POISON THE WILL is. Fans of all genres of hardcore/metal will adore this new album.

POST-HARDCORE. POISON THE WELL's "versions", is about to turn the heavy music landscape upside down. The album is imbibed with grooving swampiness and esoteric contemplation, all anchored by the brutal stomp that has been imitated by many in the years since POISON THE WELL 1st emerged, but never duplicated. This eclectic approach is apparently something that the band have carried on from their previous work. Anybody who likes their music with equal measures of aggression and invention should check this out!

PUNK-HARDCORE. London based punk shockers POISONOUS CUNTS' deliver their 2nd release, titled "make me a sandwich" - 12 tracks of noise from London's premier queer band. This album is a painful dump of spite and anger which comes in strong with "make me a sandwich" - setting the tone right away with a gigantic screech of uncontrollable rage, amongst violent guitar stabs, and fast pace hardcore-punk drum beats. Repetitive, yet tempo swapping, Neanderthal knuckle-dragging riffs that scream "fuck you i’m pissed off!". Lyrics throughout the album are real, painful and solid; paying attention to different lyrical structures whilst simultaneously fobbing it off and taking a more deconstructive approach.

POST-HARDCORE. The brand new album from POLAR from Guildford, Surrey. Huge sounding hooks, heavy riffs and commanding vocals build effortlessly with thoughtful songwriting. Through the lyrics and message, the band ground themselves in a hard working hardcore consciousness, working closely with UK homeless charity Crisis on the set-up for this record. In UK punk-infused, post-hardcore outfit POLAR, their words have always been loud. With "no cure, no saviour", their actions will definitely be louder. With this release, the band wanted to act on these assertions and help make a change rather than just stand on the sidelines and preach.

EMO/POP-PUNK. POLAR BEAR CLUB is one of the best new band of 2009. The only other bands that come to mind who have received such intense praise and excitement after only one album are AGAINST ME and THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM, but POLAR BEAR CLUB is a totally different deal. "chasing hamburg", is a powerful display of an incredible band that is bound by no genre such as rock or post-hardcore or punk, and, at the end of the day, their unique sound can only be described as "for fans of POLAR BEAR CLUB". Colored vinyl comes with gatefold-cover and includes a digital download card.

EMO/POP-PUNK. "the redder, the better" showcases the band's not-so-humble beginnings, as this was their MCD release before the critically acclaimed full-length back in 2008. POLAR BEAR CLUB effortlessly seams together the sounds of '90s punk and hardcore - akin to bands like LIFETIME and HOT WATER MUSIC - with a refreshingly 2000's style and their own personal twist. "the redder, the better" is an inevitable classic that's sure to please fans of many different music genres - punk, hardcore, emo and everything else in between. EMOCORE. Washington, D.C.'s POLICE & THIEVES carry on the tradition of melodic hardcore that DC put on the map. These CD compiles the recordings from 2005-2007 = 13 tracks and offer incredibly energetic and well played hardcore in the vein of VERBAL ASSAULT or DAG NASTY.

EMOCORE. POLICY OF THREE was one of the great (emo) hardcore bands of the late '80s and early '90s. Their sound was passionate and compeling with a sound that was cuttinge edge at the time; heavily influenced by the late '80s Dischord hardcore sound. At the time emotive hardcore was something new and exciting. It was all about passion, anger, and was really just another aspect of hardcore... long before emo was turned into frivolous pop punk. This double CD anthology captures all of their studio material (17 tracks) as well as 6 live tracks recorded in Germany in 1995 (a couple of which have never been heard before). POLICY OF THREE helped to define this sound/genera and this release is an amazing testament to one of the great hardcore bands from that time.

POST-ROCK. Following 2008’s critically acclaimed "seens" full-length the latest is less a stopgap and more a proper introduction for the Brooklyn trio. Enter Mellotron drones, three part harmonies and at the core a rhythm section that still drives each narrative with a confidence to say that less is truly more. The 9 tracks on "lake effect" are equal parts unique and obtuse, poetically indifferent and as plain as the Midwestern roots of the members themselves.

INSTRUMENTAL-ROCK. Seamlessly blending the powerful elements of progressive rock with the catchy hooks of mainstream music, this instrumental collection takes the listener on an emotional journey. "muse" is POLYPHIA's self-released digital album. It has been re-mastered/re-packaged and is available to retail for the 1st time. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

PUNK-ROCK. Featuring the original drummer of BEYOND, POOR LILY is an East-Coast punk-rock phenomenon, delivering this LP that acts as more of a punk opera, themed around the NSA and mass surveillance, with a sound that takes cues from hundreds of different styles, from fast, raging hardcore to slowed-down tempos, all keeping with their important political themes. Vinyl is limited to 500 copies and includes a digital download car.
