POST-PUNK-ROCK. T.S.O.L. has been going strong for nearly 40 years and have worn many hats - from intense punk rock to death rock to new-wave to hair metal - and return to their d.i.y. roots with "the trigger complex". ALTERNATIVE-ROCK. TAD was a mighty force in the late-'80s/early-'90s Seattle scene. Their heavy, churning rock/metal/punk buzz was a crucial part of Sub Pop's early years, and, along with peers like MUDHONEY, NIRBANA and SOUNDGARDEN, they defined the sound that reinvigorated the rock world in the early '90s. With an image that sometimes cast the band as deranged lumberjacks, and influence from HEAD OF DAVID and KILLDOZER, TAD put a uniquely rain-and-fog-coated Northwest spin on '80s underground rock. The band released 2 albums and a 7"s on Sub Pop between 1988 and 1991, all of which are now lovingly re-mastered and repackaged with bonus tracks and expansive liner notes. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST-ROCK. TAIGA's electronic hymns are deeply personal and spiritual, complex riddles that are buried under post-traumatic tape hiss and disturbing reverb. An aura that's beamed from another dimension, echoing down your spine. Shimmering hypnotics that force dialogue, no seasonal offering of spring mountain-tops but a heartening experience, both precise and organic, that just seems to regenerate itself. Imagine awakening from a cold sweat coma, still paralyzed, but awestruck by space and shuffling movements of ghost hunters breathing through inflatable weapons. New age minimalism and post-ambient clouds highly influenced by TANGERINE DREAM, Klaus Schulze, Brian Eno, CLUSTER and Terry Riley. TAIGA is the solo space monniker of Bryant Clifford Meyer from RED SPAROWES, WINDMILLS BY THE OCEAN, ISIS and THE GERSCH. Limited vinyl edition includes a digital download card.

LP 15.00€*

POST-ROCK. The arc of Bryant Clifford Meyer's musical trajectory is characterized by a penchant for sonic meditations. Over the years, this hypnotic tendency found a footing in the protracted low-end rumble of THE GERSCH, the monolithic crescendos of post-metal legends ISIS, and the call-to-arms scores of RED SPAROWES. But nowhere is this predilection towards the pensive and the brooding more apparent than in Meyer's recent solo efforts. Under the moniker of TAIGA, the multi-instrumentalist sheds the guitar-laden thunder of his collaborative work in favor of reserved melodies and exploratory studies in texture and dynamics. TAIGA offers classical music for the experimental set. Or perhaps it's post-rock for minimalists, or new age for nihilists.

HARDCORE. Orange County is known as the birthplace of many classic hardcore bands. TAKE IT TO HEART is one of the OC's newest offerings with the goal of pursuing the fast and emotive sounds of early 2000s-style melodic hardcore. While firmly rooted in the traditions of West-Coast tenacity brought to you by groups like CHAIN OF STRENGTH and CARRY ON, the band also draws inspiration from the opposite coast via Boston-hardcore stalwarts HAVE HEART and BANE. Flexi 7" is limited to 250 copies.

HARDCORE. Chula Vista's hardcore/thrash juggernaut TAKE OFFENSE presents their 1st release for Pure Noise Records in the form of their 3rd album, "keep an eye out". TAKE OFFENSE's eclectic sound pits traditional hardcore with grooving, '90s, heavy rock and "join the army"-era SUICIDAL TENDENCIES influences, all with some of the best guitar riffage.

CD 13.00€*

HARDCORE. TAKE OFFENSE is at a point in their lifespan when many bands shrug their shoulders and crank out halfhearted riffs and reheated lyrics, "united states of mind" proves the group has the stamina and creativity to push their sound forward without losing touch with their roots. In short, TAKE OFFENSE is one of the most engaging hardcore bands to emerge in recent years, and lucky for all of us, they don't appear to be going anywhere.
