POST-HARDCORE. MALKOVICH has progressed from a chaotic hardcore band to a fully grown post-hardcore monster fusing elements of punk, metal, rock and jazz into an original sound of their own. The newest album "Kings n' bosses" proves that the band has matured and diversified even more. The theme of the 12 tracks MALKOVICH deliever is obvious: party! And the music of this Dutch quintet may be dark and raw at times, it is indeed excellent party music. Or like the band says: “There ain’t no party like a Malkoholic party!”

DEATH-METAL. Underground extreme metal trio MAMMOTH GRINDER returns after 5 long years with their 4th full-length, "cosmic crypt", a non-stop, meteoric force of aggression and mayhem. "cosmic crypt" is an 11-track slab of primitive, punk-inflected death-metal. Frontman Chris Ulsh (POWER TRIP, IMPALERS) recruited Mark Bronzino (IRON REAGAN) and Ryan Parrish (IRON REAGAN, ex-DARKEST HOUR) to take MAMMOTH GRINDER to new heights of misanthropic rage and blazing song craft. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE-PUNK. From Tucson, Arizone, 6, sonic slaying songs that slam you against the wall of sound, slowly dragging you through their native Arizona desert and blasting you with unfiltered punk power. They kind of have a Nasa Space Universe or the COLTRANES vibe to them, which makes sense because they seem to run in the same circles, but MAN BITES DOG is definitely much darker sounding than those 2 bands. This release transitions seemlessly from the slower noisy parts, to blisteringly fast hardcore parts and the 6 songs leave you just enough to satisfy but still wanting more...which is a good place to be. Stunning black and white album artwork with printed sleeve insert.

POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE. In 1992 MAN IS THE BASTARD agreed to do a new 7" with German label Ecocentric Records and delivered "backwards species"; a 7 song moster of exploratory, progressive aggression that is still heralded today as one of M.I.T.B.'s most memorable sound offerings. Packed with complex dual bass guitars, frying pan six string axe work, incredibly diverse drumming and loyal, heartfelt lyrics/vocals, the record was nearly gone immediately after its' release. It has now been re-issued under "skull authority" by Deep Six in all its' awareness based glory.

POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE. Originally released on Slap-A-Ham Records, this MAN IS THE BASTARD CD includes 53 tracks of classic mayhem. This release is a collection of splits, 7"s, and previously unreleased material created for those that can't find the vinyl. MAN IS THE BASTARD were a double-bass heinous barrage of hardcore on the forefront of the early power-violence scene, although they used plenty of experimental noise ideas. Members of the band have also been in PISSED HAPPY CHILDREN, PILLS, NO COMMENT, BASTARD NOISE and more.

POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE. CHARRED REMAINS AKA MAN IS THE BASTARD, in 1992, were experimenting with 2 bass players and Barnes on a double neck guitar, and Joel on drums playing very influenced by jazz style beats and incorporating the songs with harsh vocals and hardcore violence. The best way to hear CHARRED REMAINS AKA MAN IS THE BASTARD was live. This band, as we know, is one of a kind and the vibe is captured on this recording from 1992. The brutality continues. For fans of INFEST, LACK OF INTEREST, BASTARD NOISE and NEANDERTHAL.

POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE/NOISE/ELECTRONIC. Gravity Records re-issued the long out-of-print full-length, originally recorded in 1995. The quintessential power-violence pioneers and originators, who have been cemented into cult status since their break up in 1997. Their sound was a brutal mix of complicated technical riffing and straight-up hardcore made by dual basses, noise boxes, and hardcore/prog drum beats. While similar affiliated acts like BASTARD NOISE, NEANDERTHAL and SPAZZ were all in the same ballpark, MAN IS THE BASTARD were in their own universe.

POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE. This is that famous MAN IS THE BASTARD recording because it has the song "h.s.m.p." which is supposedly the 1st use of the term "power-violence". The 8 songs they recorded for their side are pretty good. AUNT MARY are from Finland and their side is a single song in 5 movements and is noisy and distorted hardcore and grind. The 1st pressing was self-released in 1992 and then on Deep Six Records as a 7" in 1996.

NOISE/ELECTRONIC/GRINDCORE. For the past 25 years, BASTARD NOISE has articulated its mission by crafting sheer, primitive caveman electronics while exploring a spectral fascination with man's ridiculous "legend in his own mind" status and regression through technology. Following over 90 releases to date, enter the new full-length titled "the honesty shop". Two long-form compositions at nearly 20min. each were custom designed, arranged, recorded, mixed and professionally edited. This time around, the lineup consists of New York-based sound designer/performer Anthony Saunders and founding member Eric Wood. These vast, post-armageddon landscapes are delivered in crystal-clear fashion, accentuated by Wood's most brutal and extreme vocals to date. Colored vinyl is limited to 400 copies and includes a digital download card.
