DOOM/POST-METAL. Like some behemoth from fathomless depths , MONACHUS wake from their slumber, each great limb pulled from silt and brine, collapsing upon the earth with waves of sonic sludge. Where their previous album "out of the blue" resonated with crushing vibrance, "below" echoes with an eery intention, siren calls sound out against a squall of guitars, ominous walls of percussion leer like an impending deluge. Mesmeric and psychedelic, "below" is a bellowing, primordial incantation for that which lies beneath. Thick 180gr vinyl comes housed in a heavy cover and includes a poster inlay and a digital download card.

STONER-ROCK. What do Nick Oliveri (KYUSS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE etc.), Dave Grohl (NIRVANA, FOO FIGHTERS, THEM CROOKED VULTURES), Happy Tom (TURBONEGRO) and The Fresh Prince Of Darkness (DWARVES) all have in common? Aside from the fact they all play in some of the best bands to ever grace the earth, they all feature on the 7" from Los Angeles band MONDO GENERATOR. "dog food" is the 1st taste of who is featured on the album. Limited edition...hurry up!

EMO-ROCK. Sehr gut! Tipp!

SLUDGE/NOISE-ROCK. Hail the dawn of the new era. MONNO have come a long way, extending their malignant nature through thick layers of fog. For this new burial they've built a soundtrack like creeper with traces of gargling glass. Without doubt their most brutal and menacing album to date, etheric yet droning vocals covered in doom frost. Gradually moving into uptempo black-metal waters, than backdropping in sludge mystery like a free-jazz bat in the night. Every time catching the listener by surprise and pushing them in warped directions. Think along the abandoned shores of CORRUPTED, BURNING WITCH, NOOTGRUSH, Albert Ayler and ULVER. The darkness, it all started in their hearts. Limited vinyl edition of 500 copies includes a digital download card.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. MONO formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1999. They played their first live shows at the top of the new millennium, and released their first album, Under The Pipal Tree, in 2001. To commemorate those austere beginnings - and celebrate their remarkable longevity - MONO revisit 3 of their earliest songs, and retrofit them with speaker-destroying upgrades. Anchored by the towering 16min. noise opus, "com(?)", "before the past - live from electrical audio" shows the evolution of MONO's execution. These songs, which are now 20 years old, feel more powerful and profound than ever; a testament to MONO's enduring dedication to their craft, and their dogged exploration of maximum minimalism.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. "for my parents" is the new album by MONO, the Japanese quartet who - over the course of half a dozen albums in twice as many years - has followed their own muse, and in the process has become one of the most distinctive bands of the 21st century. They are an instrumental-rock band whose melodies have grown increasingly lyrical, with increasingly transcendent execution. There is no doubting a MONO song when you hear it, and no denying their uncanny ability to feel perfectly at home in both pristine symphony halls and dirty rock clubs.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. In the beginning, MONO combined the ugly washes of noise pioneered by MY BLOODY VALENTINE with the beautiful, subtle guitar figures of SLINT and MOGWAI. Eventually, their classical influences broke through, pushing the music to structural and emotional extremes that owed as much to BEETHOVEN as it did BLACK SABBATH and NEUROSIS. This release contains all of MONO's rare and out of print tracks, perfectly displaying their astounding growth. All tracks have been re-mastered from their original tapes. CD boasting absurdly beautiful deluxe packaging.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. To celebrate their 10th anniversary as a band, MONO gave a once-in-a-lifetime concert in New York City with a 24-piece orchestra, resulting in one of the most transcendent concert experiences ever witnessed. For a decade fans have clamored for a MONO album that matches the catharsis of their infamous live shows, and "holy ground" overwhelmingly delivers. Included with the album is a stunning live DVD documenting the entire 90min. performance, featuring live orchestral versions of many of MONO’s most beloved songs.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. Japanese innovative rockers MONO bring their most thoughtful and eclectic album to date, all while continuing the band's trademark wall of noise crashing beautifully against the largest chamber orchestra the band has ever enlisted, incorporating strings, flutes, organ, piano, glockenspiel and tympani into their set-up, possibly appealing to fans of bands like EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, SIGUR ROS, MOGWAI and GRAILS.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. Across 10 albums in 20 years, MONO have convincingly reflected the quietest and most chaotic parts of life through their music. "nowhere now here" also sees MONO’s 1st-ever lineup change, adding new drummer to the core trio. The unlikely career of MONO has taken them to virtually every corner of the planet, several times over. Those corners have all left indelible marks on their music, as it drills deeper towards the sound of feeling not quite human and all too human – often at the same time. Re-press on black vinyl.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. After years of enduring hundreds of requests for a repress of MONO's breakthrough 2nd album, "one step more and you die", Temporary Residence have finally come to their senses. Rather than simply repress the original single-record version, they decided to include the out-of-print "new york soundtracks" album as well, featuring remixes of "one step more" songs by CALLA, LOREN CONNORS, JACKIE-O-MOTHERFUCKER and some more.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. "the last dawn" and "rays of darkness" are a pair of new albums by MONO. Recorded simultaneously yet conceptually and creatively disparate, the 2 act as both opposing and complementary sides to a story. "rays of darkness" is the 1st MONO album in 15 years to feature no orchestral instruments whatsoever. Instead, "rays of darkness" more closely resembles a jet engine taking off inside a small, crowded auditorium. It is MOMO's blackest album ever, a collection of scorched riffs, doom rhythms and an unexpected contribution from post-hardcore pioneer Tetsu Fukagawa of ENVY. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. "requiem for hell" finds MONO returning to longtime friend and collaborator Steve Albini. "requiem for hell" is undeniably heavier and scarier than most of MONO's output to this point - hear the dizzying, 18min. title track for example - but it also carries some of their most sublime moments. This dichotomy is how one band's obsession with conflict has manifested itself into one of underground music's simultaneously quietest and loudest catalogs. Vinyl comes with an etched d-side and includes a digital download card.

INSTRUMENTAL/POST-ROCK. "the last dawn" and "rays of darkness" is a pair of new albums by MONO. Recorded simultaneously yet conceptually and creatively disparate, the 2 act as both opposing and complementary sides to a story. "the last dawn" is the 1st of these 2 companion albums, and is the lighter of the 2, thematically and melodically. It contains undoubtedly some of MONO's strongest songs ever, drawing on an array of influences from minimalist film score to vintage shoegaze. Vinyl includes a digital download card.
