More of the sexy & raunchy Martin Savage©™ sound!! Teaming up with Loco Lopez (bass) and Topi the Kat (drums) from the infamous SONS OF CYRUS, he finally got his first full-length out! Packed with his own brand of super electrified, high volume rock-and-roll we all know from this fellow on the broken mic and scorching guitar on various 7" and 10" vinyl platters of the BLACKS, the DIXIE BUZZARDS, the TOKYO KNIVES or the CHINGALEROS. If his past projects are one side of a sonic triangle of the LOCOMOTIONS, the others are whole lot JONNY THUNDER styled hooklines and the desirable NEW YORK & BOSTON rock-and-roll in the late 70s. Hm, take the NEW YORK DOLLS "who are the mystery girls?" with the THE DRAGS´ "Who´s got the electricity" and overdub it with DIXIE BUZZARDS´ "the beat"- Supposed to be a pop approach, left on the recording tapes was as a damn soulful punk rock-and-roll record with that one and only wild Martin Savage vocals. The debut 45 "tell her" was just released by their own SAVAGE RECORDS in a limited edition of 400! An exclusive B-Side with a original and a heartfelt version of the STONES classic "under my thumb". The LOCOMOTIONS are just right for some shakin´retard garagesque dance moves at your next sweaty & sexy house party!

"molecular genetics from the gold standard labs" is 44 tracks of hard-to-find and out-of-print material from the early years of THE LOCUST, collecting all of the band's pre-Epitaph songs. POST/GRIND-HARDCORE. THE LOCUST has been throwing up in the face of conventional music since 1995, when the band formed from the pieces of San Diego hardcore stalwarts SWING KIDS and STRUGGLE. The songs are fast, usually under a minute, atrociously ultra-violent and drenched in sci-fi-noise, gruesome keyboards and herky jerky, bestial scream/sing vocals. "new erections" is THE LOCUST's follow-up to their acclaimed Epitaph debut "plague soundscapes".

POST/GRIND-HARDCORE. With members having done time in more bands than some labels active rosters, San Diego's atrociously ultra-violent, sci-fi-noise, gruesome keyboards and hilarious costume quartet blow through 23 tracks (includes a CROSSED OUT cover) in as many min.. It's nervy and sinuous and, above all else, uncomfortably apocalyptic - which makes even more sense now, considering the temper of the times when it was recorded.

LOGH's 3rd full-length and first for Hydra Head brings to mind a melancholic mix of such greats as SONIC YOUTH, MOGWAI, and LOW. In September 2004, the band recorded "a sunset panorama" in a studio with Pelle Gunnerfeldt (producer of the Hives etc.).

LOGH filters the finest elements of indie-rock, poetic tone and intelligible songwriting through a Nordic perspective and into a record that pulses, swells and sighs with effortless synergy. "the raging sun" brings to mind a melancholic mix of such greats as SONIC YOUTH, LOW and MOGWAI.

PUNK-ROCK. Named after the porno in The Big Lebowski - this shortlived bunch of Brisbane guys and gals got together at the start of 2010. Taking influence from the PSYCHO SURGEONS, BABEEZ, and the SICK THINGS but injecting a hefty dose of noize and idiocy, this is truly the sound of irritation. This one contains 3 tracks of noisy catchy Australian punk. Equal parts addictive and annoying. If you dig groups like the UV RACE and EDDY CURRENT SUPPRESSION RING this is the most noisy and retarded output from that school of thought. This will appeal as much to fans of garage-punk as it will those who dig noize punk in the vein of WANKYS or HOMOSTUPIDS.

INSTRUMENTAL/PROGRESSIVE-METAL. Instru-metal/progressive act LOINCLOTH formed following the demise of death/doom act CONFESSOR and were joined by members of BREADWINNER and HONNOR ROLE to round out the lineup. Punishing riffs and a mean rhythm section were all they were interested in - no acoustic parts, no pointless leads, no repetition and no vocals! To them, metal was getting punched in the face by sinister riffs while a tight rhythm section kicked them with counter-beats to the gut! Thick 180gr vinyl.

INSTRUMENTAL/PROGRESSIVE-METAL. Virginia/North Carolina-based cult LOINCLOTH packing 9 instrumental passages of white-knuckled twists, and by-the-throat percussion, into a half-hour on "psalm of the morbid whore". LOINCLOTH is a culmination of years of worshiping at the altar of the riff and "psalm of the morbid whore" arrives with the promise of absolute pummel! LOINCLOTH reject the use of vocals to present a riff-laden brand of metal akin to that of DON CABALLERO, RUSSIAN CIRCLES and DISRHYTHMIA.

SLUDGE-HARDCORE/METAL. Finland's nastiest sludge lowlives LOINEN return with a 2nd full-lenght after the debut on Streaks and Blind Date Records from in 2007. If you’re the kind of person who likes putting on music so grimy and obnoxiously rad that pigeons and innocent bystanders burst into flame, LOINEN are right up your alley. LOINEN have a sound vomited up from the painful side of the world most people turn their heads away from. Vinyl is limited to about 400 copies and there is no download card. Hunt for it, hungry headbangers!

PUNK-ROCK. The local heroes come from Mülheim, Germany, the heart of the Ruhr. Ten years after the band was founded, "arme armee" was their 2nd album in 1992 and was recorded with the line-up that still exists today. The sound is based on the early English punk-rock, but is enriched with light garage-rock, glam, oi! and power-pop influences, so that already at that time an own, unmistakable local matador style developed. The German lyrics are exclusively self-experienced and described with obscene, common, ingeniously well. Until today the "arme armee" (poor army) could not be stopped... Thick 180gr vinyl comes newly mastered and shows slight different artwork.

PUNK-ROCK. 1991 the debut album of the local heroes from Mülheim, recorded in 1989, was released with 15 titles. Since vinyl has always been in demand, there is now a visually and sound-wise impressive, limited picture-disk LP version available. After a few musical experiments during the '80s, the local heroes found their sound in 1989 and almost perfected it: earthy punk-rock of British coinage with occasional '60s influences and lyrics from the bulging local dailys life. The very 1st strike was a masterpiece of the most sophisticated proll-punk and the basis for their success. Picture-disk vinyl includes a digital download card.

DIE LOKALMATADORE come from Mülheim, Germany, the heart of the Ruhr Area. "heute ein könig" was their 3rd album in 1994 and is the culmination of their 1st career retirement. The sound is based on early English punk-rock, but is enriched with light garage, oi! and power-pop influences, so that was already a separate, unmistakable LOKALMATADORE style. The German texts are exclusively self-living and with obscene, mean, well-circumscribed. Thick 180gr vinyl got remastered and sound much better, cleaner and differentiated.

HARDCORE-PUNK. LOKUM was one of the best kept secrets of the Copengagen hardcore-punk scene. LOKUM had a split with GORILLA ANGREB a while back - this record contains the rest of the songs from that session they recorded just before they broke up in 2002. Having people from INCONTROLLADOS and AMDI PETERSENS ARME in the line-up, you know this gotta be good. This is pure punk-rock genious.

POST/SCREAMO-HARDCORE. "continuum/fate" is the 2-song 7" from LOMA PRIETA. The a-side, "continuum", is an artistic editorial in the self-damning that many face on a day to day basis. The b-side, "fate", uses PIXIES-esque lightness to veil the weight of its message before erupting into musical chaos. Shape-disk includes a digital download card.
