PUNK 'N' ROLL. The KAMIKAZE QUEENS are a colossal, gutsy, rock 'n' roll bullet for the 21th century. The 2 front women, Trinity and Mad Kate - naturally vivacious, visceral, and insanely energized. Back them up with Tex Morton (MAD SIN, SUNNY DOMESTOS) on screaming guitars, Luscious Lloyd (SIN CITY CIRCUS LADIES) on slap bass and Nico Lippolis (COLINDA) beating on the drums - and you have a sound like a suicide pilot dive-bombing your rocknroll senses. It’s a raucous, rockin’, sweet smellin’, 100% unbending creative force fit for any dance floor - an eclectic mix of spooky punk cabaret songs, soulful garage numbers and dirty rockabilly riffs. Comes on thick vinyl and with nice designed gatefold-cover.

PUNK-ROCK. Behind this pumping menage are no others than members of DIGGER & THE PUSSYCATS. The mates decided to give the duo a little rest and live out their fondness for independent music throwaways like THE WIPERS or Australian drunkrock acts like THE SCIENTISTS completely. From the bar room floors of inner city Melbourne they started to create an original sound fusing rock, punk, post-punk, pop and noise into an indescribable mash of genius. Their 2nd longplayer is a noisy and damn melodic narcotic that sedates you with some driving drumming, fuzzy bass, a sweet and sour guitar and painful words from the bottom of life's stairs that will make you weep and holler. Bring your ear plugs...this one is gonna explode.

POST-HARDCORE. KAOSPILOT hail from Norway and play a really emotional strain of heavy, epic music in the vein of ENVY, probably more at home in Norway's equivalent of a sweaty VFW hall or cramped d.i.y. space versus a multi-stage festival.

PUNK/NDW-ROCK. KÄPTN BLAUSCHIMMEL UND DIE SÜßWASSERMATROSEN from dunkel-Germany, called Spreewald, deliver on their debut 8 pogo-tracks with german anarcho lyrics. This is really great garage-pogo-punk with ndw hints, played with a piano. Are you bored from TON-STEINE-SCHERBEN, QUTSCHNEPAUA or THE SHOCKS records - then you should immediate access. Vinyl comes with a great gatefold-cover, huge booklet and is limited to 500 copies.

POST/INDIE-ROCK. Here is a snapshot of a great band at their peak - not just "great" in measure of appeal and taste, but as players and performers. Though KARATE sadly ended their 12-year run in the summer of 2005, this brief set-list takes the band’s strongest material into new realms, and is evidence of what they sounded like at their best, with their tour legs on. Recorded in Belgium in 2003 on KARATE's European tour, "595" captures the band and their unique mellowed out indie/jazz over 8 tracks (49min.). This now defunct bands defined their own genre for the better part of a decade, putting out many forward-thinking albums on Southern Records.

POST/INDIE-ROCK. KARATE's beginnings were in the early '90s Boston independent scene, where their love for improvised music and classic rock, and their adherence to the d.i.y. punk ethos of their youth made them stand-out freaks, defying classification with their strange fusion of indie, punk, jazz and rock. Long out of print, their eponymous 1st release is being reissued by Southern. Originally released in 1996, this is an essential part of the band's legacy and a must for any self-respecting fan.

HARDCORE-PUNK. KARBONITE is female fronted band out of San Diego, California with intermittent dual vocals. These Punks bring an inspired combination of noise channeling LEBENDEN TOTEN and CONFUSE inspired punk into an aesthetically strong release. A release that is as pleasing to the eye as it is to punk ears of refined and deafened taste. Flexi is limited to 350 copies and have silver ink silk-screened card-stock covers with silver center label accents.

POST-PUNK/NEW-WAVE. With each album a new step, a new landscape. The 3rd album sounds more like an empty city after a heavy rain. The articulated, gloomy and melancholic narrowness of the previous album has apparently given way to a brighter, more relaxed posture. The previously black-and-white within their sound mutates into a sometimes euphoric attitude in the name of powerfully played post-punk riffs. Colored vinyl includes a poster and includes a digital download card.

POST-PUNK/NEW-WAVE. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

PUNK-ROCK.

PROGRESSIVE-HARDCORE/METAL. Georgia's KARST has let out something frightening, eruptive and important with this, their 1st full-length release. Musically and aesthetically, they contribute something of a supremely interesting and commanding character. Melding doom, metal and a rare, dark hardcore, there is an overwhelming sense that this entire record was produced, alternately, through gritted teeth and eyes rolled to the back of the head; whites fully exposed. The results are convincing and finger-curling; frenetic, while terse; fierce and pained, while righteous and satisfying. Prepare.

HARDCORE. A few years after the demise of their short-lived yet utterly fantastic project known as INSTITUTION, the voice of TOTALITÄR and the riff boss of HERÄTYS have come together yet again to bring us some more top shelf mangel; a style that they've proven to be knowledgeable in the composition and execution of for quite some time now. Five track that will please any enthusiast of the genre/art form that is Swedish hardcore. Vinyl is limited to 7" 500 copies and includes a digital download card.

POP-PUNK. "tv dreams" is the debut 7" from KATIE ELLEN by the best pop-punk band to come out of Brooklyn right now. Featuring 2 tracks from their upcoming full-length. Fuzzy power-pop with catchy melodies that you'll want to listen to over and over again. Colored vinyl is limited to 600 copies.

EMOCORE/INDIE-ROCK. KATZENSTREIK can be summarized in 3 adjectives: honest, emotional, and intense. These 4-piece blasts with discreet and harmonic post-emo-punk through your stereos, only to surprise you after a few songs with soft indie-rock tunes which invite to a little daydream. More mature than on their previous releases and with an improved sound. The band has created 14 beautiful, varied, melodic songs, which goose bumps. The songs with their english and german lyrics/thoughts are inspiring and the beautiful and plain artwork perfectly fits the songs and their contents. It is a mystery why people hardly haven't heard about this band. Comes in a nice Digi-pack. For those who dwell on the past: one of the band members is unmistakeably the guitarist of SPIT ACID.
