ELECTRONIC/AMBIENT/INSTRUMENTAL. This minimal synth driven soundtrack effectively captures what it's like to wander the desert at night. It's full of chance meetings and mystical events that can only be believed by experiencing them personally. A haunting midnight road trip through the imaginary cinemascape of Wash, a motion picture spectacle byJ. GALLEGO. You may know that name because he is the main force behind DREAMDECAY whose album we released last year. "wash ost" comes packaged in a custom die-cut jacket with a fullcolor innersleeve inside. Vinyl is limited to 500 copies and includes a digital download card.

ALTERNATIVE-ROCK. Like its predecessors, "elastic days" was recorded at J. MASCIS' own Bisquiteen studio. MASCIS does almost all his own stunts, although Ken Miauri (who also appeared on "tied to a star") plays keyboards and there are a few guest vocal spots. These include old mates Pall Jenkins (BLACK HEART PROCESSION), and Mark Mulcahy (MIRACLE LEGION, etc.), as well as the newly added voice of Zoë Randell (LULUC) among others. This is a lazy man's shorthand, but it still rings true. "elastic days" brims with great moments. Epic hooks that snare you in surprisingly subtle ways, guitar textures that slide against each other like old lovers, and structures that range from a neo-power-ballad to jazzily-canted West Coasty post-psych. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

ALTERNATIVE-ROCK. It's hard to believe that after 25 years of squalling guitar rock with DINOSAUR JR and a slew of other bands, J. MASCIS is just now releasing his 1st proper solo album, and that it's a laid-back acoustic record. After listening to "several shades of why", it's even harder to believe he hasn't explored this format more often. His maximum rock 'n' roll six-string shredding morphs exceptionally well into this album's earthy, forlorn picking, and Mascis' lazy, stripped-bare backdrop of acoustic guitars and cellos and jingling tambourines is pure magic. Several guest musicians drop in to lend a hand on the album (including BAND OF HORSES, BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE, A SILVER MOUNT ZION, BLACK HEART PROCESSION etc.). Vinyl includes a digital download card.

PUNK-ROCK. Limited reissue of this classic Swiss-punk classic from 1979. JACK & THE RIPPERS were one of the 1st punk bands in Switzerland, based in Geneva, which has at that time an equally vibrant punk scene such as Zurich. Musically the band can be describe as brilliant power punk with strong English strike on the right track. So enjoy this wonderful piece of punk-rock! Comes with insert and a cover, treated with an especially UV-continual varnish!

HARDCORE. Embracing influences from a wide variety of worldwide Hardcore, JACKALS dropped a bomb on their debut LP. The 7" already was a blast, but this one nails it to the cross. Fierce, negativity-ridden, stop'n go hardcore and top-notch artwork make this a sick release.

HARDCORE. After a 7" and a follow up full-length on Hardware Records earlier this year, "violent is..." is the 2nd 7" from this stop'n go hardcore band. More mean, ripping, politically aware hardcore.

PUNK-ROCK. "gods and monsters" is the debut album by Leeds JADED EYES, who although a relatively new band , feature members who have been active in the punk scene for many years, in bands such as VOORHEES, THE HORROR, JOHN HOLMES, DEAD PETS, SEX MANIACS, GEOFFREY OI!COTT and many many more. Sharing a collective love of the Dischord sounds of the likes of DAG NASTY and GOVERNMENT ISSUE and mixing them with the home grown UK guitar driven punk sounds of the likes of THE RUTS, THE DAMNED and HDQ, JADED EYES have created a driving energetic debut that rocks and needs to be heard. This is the limited edition coloured vinyl.

HARDCORE/METAL. The debut 7" from Connecticut's JAGGED VISIONS will hit you like a mace during a medieval battle to the death. Current and ex-members of PALEHORSE, STAB YOU IN THE HEAD and LAID 2 REST deliver painfully heavy metallic hardcore that is heavily influenced by the bands they grew up listening to; INTEGRITY, ALL OUT WAR, OVERCAST and HATEBREED. Colored vinyl is limited to 500 copies and includes a digital download card.

HARDCORE. JAGUARZ was a part of the 1st wave of Lockin' Out Records bands alongside MENTAL and RAMPAGE, and brought that same Boston sound that inspired plenty of low skanking. This 7" reissue features the original "jungle jamz" demo that originally appeared on Lockin' Out plus a track off the "sweet vision" compilation. Limited edition of 500 copies.

INDIE-ROCK. JAILL, a self-described psych-pop combo who play with undeniable guts. Recorded nervously in the leaky basement of an old funeral home, with overdubs finished over a year’s time at home. Recalling the glory of '90s lo-fi pop, these songs possess a sinewy tension honed from years of basement shows and a palpable, gritty rock sense born of enduring cold, cold Midwest winter months. Bright guitars and amped-up energy skipping like a stone over Kircher’s dense lyrics, only to sink into momentary mellow moments. "that’s how we burn" is sure to make the girls freak, the guys geek, and all the lovers weak in the knees. LP includes MP3 download code.

POST-HARDCORE. Like a staggering monument built to honor the gods of ISIS, THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES and FUGAZI, JAKARTAH formed from the wreckage of broken lives and broken promises. From a city as famous for its heroin as its salmon, Vancouver, BC, "In the nervous lights of coincidence" shockingly sits comfortably beside the great indie-hardcore records of the past 20 years. JAKARTAH sounds immediately familiar and new, hopeful and desolate; dishonest and truthful. Revealing a tendency towards prog-like time changes and heavy riffing, the Canadian trio's songs are as challenging as they are compelling.

FOLK/POST-ROCK. JACK BELLOWS had quit music. Or so he thought. After fronting NEVA DINOVA for more than 15 years which included 5 full-lengths. BELLOWS returned to music with a renewed sense of the intrinsic value of art and its ability to express the commonality of human experience. His debut full-length, "new ocean", offers a mix tape of different kinds of songs hanging out on one record - love songs that are not necessarily ballads despite their introspective gauziness, with left turns into drunk-in-the-sun bossa nova and blue-eyed-soul ruptured by fuzz guitar.

INDIE-ROCK. When Pennsylvania post-grunge rockers SUPERHEAVEN called it quits in 2016, it didn't take long for frontman and guitarist JAKE CLARKE to get to work on his solo material. Gone is the sludgy hard-rock of his days in SUPERHEAVEN in favor or a more indie-rock sound but his deep guitar tones are still ever-present. Wilkes-Barre, PA's SPUR churn out some fuzzed-out, '90s-influenced indie-rock that takes cues from the greats like THE CRANBERIES. Limited edition of 500 copies.

EMO/INDIE-ROCK. JAMIES ELSEWHERE has crafted a moving and ambitious indie-rock album that is destined to be one of the most talked about debuts of the year. "Guidebook for sinners turned saints" surely will be the catalyst that starts this band's career and puts them in front of fans who want honest, real rock music in a time of mediocrity. Combine the hooks of SILVERSTEIN and HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS along with the melancholy of CHIODOS and a lighter TAKING BACK SUNDAY and you have an incredible mix that will connect with fans of honest and emotional indie-rock.

CD 4.00€*
