HARDCORE. ICONOCLAST was the only band on Ebullition that was ever released because of a demo that was received in the mail. The ICONOCLAST demo sounded a lot like RORSCHACH. When they recorded these 4 songs their sound had developed into something much more complex and unique. A classic early '90s hardcore record from a band that existed side by side with East Coast legends like RORSCHACH, BORN AGAINST, MEREL and CURRENT.

POP/EMO-PUNK. With their honest melodic punk-rock mixture they create the missing link between Fat Wreck evergreens and the new classics by Run For Cover Records. METALCORE. Burly, extremely well-produced metalcore from these New England chaps, heavily influenced by the melodic Swedish sound a la IN FLAMES and AT THE GATES, but also grabbing onto the sheer heaviness of bands like CONVERGE and their kin. CD reissue includes enhanced video for "Shop till you drop" and guest vocals from Trevor Phipps of UNEARTH.

DRONE-ROCK/AMBIENT. IGNATZ finds a perfect way to use the lo-fi recording and purposeful imperfections in order to sound direct. An album with the mysterious quality that serves it so well, and while Devens' songwriting isn't that of a mediocre modern-day bluesman, it's the sum of its parts that makes this noteworthy. This album's a curious document. Space folk drone, a blend of buzzing lo-fi murk, a stumbling buzz infused sprawl as spacious as it is clattery and chaotic. Beneath the drone and ambience there is always a blues element to IGNATZ. Limited pressing of 500 copies.

HARDCORE. IGNITE is a band reminiscent of those that made Revelation the quintessential hardcore label it became in the late '80s and early '90s. Such bands as NO FOR AN ANSWER, UNIFORM CHOICE, GORILLA BISCUITS, SICK OF IT ALL, QUICKSAND, INSIDE OUT, YOUTH OF TODAY, etc, flavored with the sounds of '90s SoCal hardcore, paved the way for IGNITE. "past our means" showcases IGNITE's talent for playing fast, furious, and great singalong songs. Re-press includes a bonus track "banned in d.c."
