INDIE/ELECTRO-ROCK. Seventeen years ago, THE FAINT ushered in the return of synthesizers to the modern musical landscape with the release of 1999's "blank-wave arcade". The world took note and the dance-rock movement of the early '00s followed in its wake. In the ensuing years, the band's consistent evolution cemented their status as one of the most forward thinking and influential forces in dance-rock. "capsule: 1999-2016", surveys THE FAINT's most renowned output over that timespan, while also taking a look at what the future holds for the acclaimed Omaha electro-punks. First edition is on silver vinyl and includes a bonus 7" contaning "skylab1979/esp". Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

ELECTRO/POP/INDIE. THE FAINT deluxe-edition features a double LP pressed on 180gr vinyl, with custom tip-on gatefold-jacket, double CD and DVD (with archival footage from the band, live projection videos). Do you remember a time before the words dance and rock were linked by a hyphen and the synthesized sounds of the '80s were a regular part of the modern musical landscape? The members of THE FAINT do, because they were there when it started to happen. In fact, you could even say they're one of the main reasons it happened at all. Saddle Creek is set to reissue one of the crown jewels of the movement, an album that over time has proven to be as influential as it is exhilarating: THE FAINT's 3rd album, 2001's "danse macabre". The 9-song sizzled with perfectly aggressive synth lines, menacingly effected vocals, infectious beats, bits of industrial and goth, and, at the heart of it all, strong songwriting. Vinyl is limited to 3000 items.

HARDCORE. Forming from the ashes of local D.C. bands S.O.A. and THE UNTOUCHABLES, FAITH were short-lived but had a profound impact on the early hardcore scene before members moved on to bands like RITES OF SPRING and EMBRACE. This vinyl collects their 1982 "subject to change" record and their 1st demo from 1981 - 19 tracks in total. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

LP 17.50€*

HARDCORE. This record is nothing short of amazing, teaming 2 of the best hardcore bands from the early Washington DC scene. VOID is unlike anything else before or after - totally spastic and disjointed hardcore-punk that often seems like it's about to fall apart into noisy chaos only to go blasting back into anthemnic hardcore. On the FAITH side you get a similarly diverse, if more standard set of DC hardcore. These guys are so underappreciated it's sad. MINOR THREA's influence is still obvious but FAITH definately had their own thing going on. Vinyl was re-mastered and re-cut and includes a digital download card.
