HARDCORE. Prior to stints in H-100's, 9 SHOCKS TERROR, GORDE SOLIE MOTHERFUCKERS, Tony Erba delivered the goods with FACE VALUE. The band played a defining role in the hardcore scene of the late '80s and early '90s, turning out furious tunes at breakneck tempos and whipping crowds nationwide into a fine froth before calling it quits in 1993. This career spanning retrospective containing 31 songs plus an insane DVD of various live performances, photos and whatnot proves once again that you can't go wrong with Cleveland.

POP-PUNK. Debut album from this keyboard driven, female singing pop-punk band from Montreal. The vocal reminds a lot of some '80 anarcho-punk bands like RUBELLA BALLET or LOST CHERREES. Songs dealing with subject like being queer, hating the state and nuclear radiation just to name a few. The 1st side finishes with an tremendous cover from the swedish punk band BURNING KITCHEN while the flipside ends with a really nice singalong ballad. Members have played in BALLAST.

POST-HARDCORE. Remnants from the bloated corpse of the once-beloved PLATES, FACILITY MEN provide the outside world a glimpse into the morose psyche of Buffalo. The thinking man’s soundtrack for a working man’s town. Much like the riff-driven, post-hardcore, alt-rock acts of the early '90s, these 'MEN play fast and loose with a unique style of discordant-yet-melodic asound. This sounds like the missing link in the Queen City’s garage-punk and hardcore scenes of yore. These songs are remixed and re-mastered from the original demos that saw a very limited run, including an additional exclusive track from the band’s inaugural demo session.

POST/INDIE-PUNK. "lifelike" is FACS' sophomore release - 6 tracks clocking in at half an hour, carrying forward the musical trail blazed by the debut towards a new frontier. "lifelike" occupies a space in between the band's debut and the members former work with DISAPPEARS, applying minimalism and space in compositions that reside somewhere near the realms of post-punk, art-rock, shoegaze and post-rock. "lifelike" however adds a more melodic sensibility, without sacrificing any of the debut's punishing sonic muscle.

POST/INDIE-ROCK. FACS sprung forth in early 2017 from the ashes of beloved Chicago band DISAPPEARS. "negative houses" is their debut recording; an abstraction of their former outfit, even more minimal and bare than what came before. After the departure of their bassist, DISAPPERAS remaining members put the project on hold, but ultimately decided to carry on, pushing the project towards new frontiers. Musically, FACS heads in the same direction as DISAPPEARS, albeit on a different path. They approach the stark, gothy post-punk they perfected more rhythmically and abstract than in DISAPPEARS.
