POST/ART-ROCK. After the success of their debut 7", post-punk art-rockers Y PANTS performed regularly in NYC and other East Coast venues. In 1981 they toured Europe for 6 weeks and upon return went into the studio to record their only LP, "beat it down", released in 1982 on Neutral Records. The album extends the band’s signature pared down rollicking minimalism. The 10 songs are varied, using surprising and inventive instrumentation. The music is at once filled with a sense of longing and a fierce ironic rebellion. The songs covered a huge range of emotions with an entirely new syntax.

POST/ART-ROCK. Y PANTS was a three-woman New York band. They played in clubs, galleries and performance spaces between 1979 and 1982. They were as idiosyncratic, edgy, minimal, wry and literate as post-punk no wave got. This release includes their 4-song debut 7" and 2 songs never before available on vinyl. What really makes Y PANTS a success is the actual sound of the instrumentals - raw and driving yet exotic and imaginative in terms of timbre and minimalist structure.

GRINDCORE. YACÖPSAE was/is always well-known for brewing out some freaky ideas, so the concept of a "guest room" release was born. The band invited a bunch of different people from around the globe to "sing" for them - 15 tracks, each one lasting about 30sec. and placed twice (subdivided in two sides: male/female). All participants had to create own lyrics and to record the vocals by their own. In addition, each person needed to write down a few neutral sentences about the very 1stt encounter with YACÖPSAE, and sending a photo. Though the list of our guests is impressive.

GRINDCORE/NOISE. This is the official re-press of the ultrarare (just 40 copies exist worldwide!) split 5" from 2000. YACÖPSAE deliver on sharp smasher called "plakativ korrekt" in the vein of their "fuck punk rock"-era. Noise and AMBIENT monster DEEP from Augsburg doing a coverversion from YACÖPSAE's own "blind". If you already own the original copy...haha...you don't need this well down re-press.

GRINDCORE. The german Kings of musical extrem sports are back! Expect 5 ultrafast fastcore attacks - 5 songs in 5 minutes! A masterpiece of precision and intensity. YACÖPSAE share this split with YOUR KINGDOM IS DOOMED from Istanbul. They are one of the very rare hardcore bands in Turkey. They play angry chaotic hardcore in the vein of SPAZZ and other bands of this genre.

GRINDCORE/PUNK-ROCK. In 2012 ZZZ HACKER met the members from YACÖPSAE. A few beers later they decided to release a split 7" but with the particularity - you play something from us - we have to play a few numbers of you". Sooner said than done, with the peculiarity that to this day both bands had no knowledge of what the other now so dovetailed. The product is ready, you will find 3 tracks of each band on this split 7".

HARDCORE. YADOKAI is back armed with a new drummer and an even bigger sound. Taking cues from classic Japanese and Italian hardcore but infusing it with the buzzsaw attack of DISCHARGE they have truly become a hardcore monster. Piercing guitars, thunderous drums, and the screams and distorted yells of a singer in opposition to all forms of tyranny and hypocrisy. Their best and most consistent material to date, this it the standard to which bands of this ilk should be measured.

HARDCORE. Final 7" from these Bay-Area warriors and although it is sad to see them go. Blown out, maniacal, powerful, and downright terrifying hardcore. These final 3 recordings ooze contempt and violence, accentuated by howling vocals and incredibly tight musicianship, this is the final statement from YADOKAI, and what a statement it is.

EMOCORE/SCREAMO-HARDCORE. Hailing from Santa Cruz, California YAPHET KOTTO come forth with their 1st release. Their music is perfectly suited to Ebullition. If YAPHET KOTTO would have existed a couple years ago they would have been playing with CURRENT, ICONOCLAST and POLICY OF THREE. Great screamy emotional hardcore with a duel guitar and vocal attack.

EMOCORE/POST-HARDCORE. For 7 years YAPHET KOTTO has been unleashing a torrent of melodic power fashioned from a dual guitar attack, hammering drumming, and a passionate duel vocal approach. "we bury our dead alive" is YAPHET KOTTO’s 3rd full-length album and these 10 songs are once again inspired, emotionally charged, melodic and hard hitting. Unlike many bands, time has not mellowed YAPHET KOTTO. "we bury our dead alive" is tighter, heavier, and harder than their previous releases.

METAL/HARDCORE. YAUTJA - familiarize yourself with this name. These Nashville maniacs are here to knock the metal world on it's stale, tame ass. "songs of descent" is an awe-inspiring, technically stunning foray into the pantheon of extreme music. Death-metal, grindcore, hardcore, sludge and even influences as disparate as noise-rock get the YAUTJA sonic treatment and the result is an undeniably organic, cohesive marvel of forward thinking extremity. If you are looking for the 1st real head-turning, mind-fucking masterpiece of 2014 look no further. YAUTJA has made a commanding statement with "songs of descent".

HARDCORE. In the early '80s, YDI put Philadelphia on the map with their ferocious brand of hardcore. In 1983, they unleashed their debut 7", "a place in the sun", on Bloodbubble Records. "a place in the sun" is a blistering 9-track blast of hardcore fury that holds it's own with "pick your king", the NEGATIVE APPROACH 7" and any other prime example of early American hardcore. Unavailable for over a decade on any format, TKO Records is glad to make this vital piece of American punk history available again.

POST-HARDCORE. YEAR FUTUIRE are a Los Angeles quartet with 2 prior GSL releases and "First world fever" is their debut full-length. The band is comprised of GSL founder Sonny Kay (vocals; ex-ANGEL HAIR, THE VSS), guitarist Rockey Crane (ex-DEAD AND GONE), and the newly revamped rhythm section of Pete Lyman (bass) and Chris Hathwell (drums; also a member of MOVING UNITS). Comparable to the likes of BLACK FLAG, YES, BAUHAUS, DEAD KENNEDYS and BLOOD BROTHERS, YEAR FUTURE's sound has evolved considerably since the early releases and shows no signs of standing still.

HARDCORE. You know it, you love it. YEARS FROM NOW play positive melodic hardcore with seriously heavy nods from GORILLA BISCVUITS and LIFETIME, done with a circa early `90s recording job that sounds like Walter Schreifels was at the knobs. Essentially a discography, "We're gonna need a bigger boat" piles on 19 songs: the band's "So much promise" 7", demo CD-R, 8 new songs and covers by YOUTH OF TODAY and DESCENDENTS. The new songs are definitely an improvement on the band's elder material. It seems like they trade in their occasional dose of A NEW FOUND GLORY-like pop in exchange for an even more generous early Revelation influence; there's almost like a jokey JUDGE/BOLD vibe all over the songs. "We're gonna need a bigger boat" is quite obviously a perfect introduction to YEARS FROM NOW. Now all we need is a goddamn proper full-length already.
