POP/GARAGE-PUNK. SHEER MAG returns with their sophomore album, "a distant call". They're still writing about surviving our current hellscape, but this time around the politics get extra personal. POP/GARAGE-PUNK. Both brazen and discrete, loud yet precise, familiar but never quite like this - SHEER MAG crept up from Philadelphia cloaked in bold insignia to channel our social and political moment with grit and groove. With 3 powerful 7"s under their belts SHEER MAG finally presents its debut album - a riff-fest that reaches into the pot of bands like THIN LIZZY and AC/DC without forgetting that they are rooted in the punk scene. Christina Halladay shows that she can sing with the best of 'em while the guitar leads take us all to the golden age of rock 'n' roll. On "need to feel your love", they make their 1st full-length declaration of light seen just beyond our darkness. Spoken plainly, without shame. It is love. This - is SHEER MAG.
