HARDCORE. GRINDINMG HALT showing some of the slower side of their set. You'll get 2 songs of which 1 is somewhat of a noisy hardcore song while the 2nd has a '90s mosh-feeling all over it. On the flipside there's DIET PILLS insanity. Hints of DYSTOPIA and JESUS LIZARD thrown in a blender. It's so heavy it makes you wonder how it would fit on the vinyl. Great dutch and uk team up!

PUNK-ROCK. One of "Germany's most-overlooked bands" releases their new anti-concept album. Rough, honest, slightly smoky and danceable in every second. The album sounds like an obeisance or return to musical heroes like RAMONES, NEW BOMB TURKS, TURBONEGRO or RIP OFFS - but always packed in own compositions and their very own GRIZZLY style. Limited to 300 copies.

HARDCORE. Amazing debut release from this San Diego band. This makes us think of a more pissed off CODE OF HONOR even though we hear tons of different influences in there. It's got that classic, reverby, Mystic Records-style production, but there's a slight metallic quality to the riffing that makes these guys lean a little more toward the DR. KNOW or R.K.L. side of things. End of all it's awesome played skate-hardcore from the best San Diego band since BATTALION OF SAINTS.

AMBIENT/DRONE. There are some groups who have such a distinct and defined sound that it’s hard to imagine them doing anything else. Picture GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR trading their epic builds for the plods of a straight-ahead pop song, or finding some basement jams of SIGUR ROS doing polka songs - it just wouldn’t be right. GROWING’s sound is like nothing else - dense walls of noise that carry melodies so primal, they invoke pure, jarring emotion in the listener. That said, after over half a dozen releases, the band has decided to trade in their dense, melodic cacophony for something more reminiscent of the tribal rhythms of BLACK DICE. Granted, this isn’t pointing the band in a completely different direction, but the difference is enough to be fairly distracting on first listen. While it’s unlikely that GROWING will be a hit on dance floors anytime soon, the band’s newfound balance of pop and noise is truly praise-worthy.

DRONE/AMBIENT/NOISE-ROCK. GROWING return to that near-ambient tranquility, the record is a series of meandering excursions into massive slow-motion, melted-riff soundscapes, notes and chords unfurl impossibly slowly, as if someone had doubled the gravity and the sound waves were actually visible, drizzling lazily to the floor like molasses or honey, rich golden globs of thick distorted throb. Like EARTH and SKULLFLOWER meshed into one buzzing blurry soundfield, all muted melody and crunchy riffage, a pulsing swirl of feedback and guitarral grrrr! The sound is basically phenomenal. They play instrumental drone-rock with elements of noise and ambient music.

GRINDCORE. The cursed zombies from Spain have returned from the beyond to consume your flesh once again! GRUESOME STUFF RELISH has finally arrived with "horror rises from the tomb" - 19 songs of freshly dug-up horror grindcore with hints of death-metal done the way this music was originally intended to be. Absolutely no modern influences plague this epic feast. Instead you get nothing but the most catchy and well played death/grind songs done in the way of early masters such as IMPETIGO, XYSMA, NECRONY, and CARNAGE.

PUNK-ROCK. GRUPO SUB-1 return with 3 cold war influenced retro-futurist KBD synth-punk tracks and a DISHRAGS cover. Think a mix of THE REVILLOS, LOS REACTORS and TYRADES. PUNK-ROCK. Allegedly recorded in the post cold war Russia during a cold winter GRUPO SUB-1 from Madrid, Spain bring us 14 songs of primitive mongoloid synth-punk. Take the best of UNITS, LOS REACTORS or SCREAMERS and mix it with the worst of RIP OFFS and FAMILIA REAL spice it up with tons of obscure early punk from around the globe and then maybe you'll be close to understand this platter. Neo-vintage-futurist-kbd? Nah, it is called punk!

POST-PUNK. THE GUESTS formed in 2015 when it was decided that the far-left needed a suitable media platform. A pop band, drawing on post-punk and goth, was decided as the medium, built on the obscure memory of a one-off NEW ORDER cover band. THE GUESTS envision an alternate, more revolutionary history of '80s-style jangle pop, built on the rock-solid foundation. Focused guitar hooks and soaring rushes of synth giving breath and motion to the singers calls to arms, battered landscapes and righteous indignations.

HARDCORE. "before they know we're all dead" consists 6 brand new songs. Their music can be described best as an energetic mix between the mid-tempo parts of MODERN LIFE IS WAR and UNBROKEN with an hint of of '90s hardcore. It's all about hardcore in its purest form, with a no-frills attitude, made by veterans of the scene. The lyrics deal with some issues that the hardcore scene seems to have forgotten about nowadays, such as politics and animal rights: this is an album full of anger and disappointment towards society. CD format contains the 4 tracks from the "those who do wrong.." 7" as a bonus.

HARDCORE. New Jersey's own GUILT TRIP return with their 1st full-length. This is just straightforward ripping hardcore - kind of like an old Pusmort Records-style band but with a slightly more modern flair. This record has something for everyone, whether your into cutting solos, racing tempo changes or brutal hard edged vocals. Either way, by the end of it, you'll feel like you had a twister rip through your brain. From the artwork to the wax, this record is a must have for anyone who likes good hardcore-punk. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST-ROCK. GUILTMAKER has the street cred of former band members like REVERSAL OF MAN and COMBAT WOUNDED VETERAN though you may not know it listening to this record. The sound is more post-hardcore and ambient in the vein of ENGINE DOWN, SPART and even QUICKAND. "dilemmas" is destined to be the most under-appreciated record on Kiss Of Death Records this year. A must have for all true music lovers.

HARDCORE-PUNK. After a well-received 7", a lineup change, countless wasted nights, girl problems, spilled beers, cheap highs and the occasional tour, GUILTY FACES return with their debut full-length "domestic bliss". A mix of early '80s hardcore-punk with the driving force of the ADOLESCENTS, CIRCLE JERKS, as well as the fervent melody of bands like HÜSKER DÜ, and even THE WIPERS, the band offers up 10 songs about the joys of ruining yourself/life and the perils that follow. Snotty and poignant lyrics, hard and tuneful riffs and a great recording from Ryan Abbott (Social Circkle) make this LP a definite must for fans of hardcore-punk and depraved personalities of all sorts.

HARDCORE-PUNK. Debut 3 song 7" from this excellent Southern Connecticut punk band! Blending great intricate punk songs akin to bands like the THE WIPERS and SUBHUMANS (Canada) with a snotty vocal delivery similar to the ANGRY SAMOANS, and you have GUILTY FACES. Great follow up to their well received demo. Limited edition of 500 copies.
