MELODIC-HARDCORE. GREY AREA remember a time when hardcore was still half punk, long before metal's influence replaced singalongs and powerchords. Featuring members of TOKEN ENTRY, WARZONE and BLACK TRAIN JACK. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

SINGER/SONGWRITER. After years performing shows and a string of smaller releases, GREY GORDON is finally ready to unveil his 1st album, "forget i brought it up". While mostly known for his acoustic performances, the singer-songwriter picked up the electric for his latest effort and drew upon a wealth of talent he'd acquired over the years, ultimately creating a record that transcends genres and time with brilliantly crafted songs and thoughtful lyrics that would fit well alongside his heroes SUPERCHUNK, DINOSAUR JR. and others. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.

POST-HARDCORE. [RELEASEDATE 16.04.2016] The mid-'90s were an interesting time in the world of hardcore. Bands were experimenting, pushing the boundaries of what was post-hardcore or indie-rock, and still punk. GREYHOUSE ignored the constraints of these different genres, choosing to write songs that represented their thoughts and emotions - the way music is supposed to. Taking influences from many, but sounding like none, they represent this era of hardcore in a way that no other does. Forever a band playing basements, not releasing records, and never touring, they are the best kept secret of that time. This is beyond overdue. Colored (grey) vinyl is limited to 700 copies. * RECORD STORE DAY 2016 *

POST-ROCK. GREYMACHINE is a project of Justin Broadrick and 2 other members of JESU plus Aaron Turner of ISIS playing noisy, heavy and dirty heavy rock with boatloads of distortion, bringing to mind THROBBING GRISTLE, MELVINS, FLIPPER and the like, with "vultures descend" from the forthcoming album "disconnected" on the A-side and an alternate version of "we are all fucking liars" on the B-side.

POWER-VIOLENCE HARDCORE. GRG from Oklahoma City show up with their 1st full-length record. NOISE/POST-PUNK. GRIDS has been around for about a year now and has made quite a dent in the North Carolina scene. Loud and noisy like a wonderful mix of old school AmRep worshippers sacrificing all of their friends' ears for their own sadomasochistic fun. For fans of CLOCKCLEANER, PISSED JEANS, YOUNG WIDOWS, THE JESUS LIZARD and all things heavy. Comes with MP3 download card for the analog impaired.

PROGRESSIVE-HARDCORE. This is the 1st release from the San Diego area's GRIEVER. Former members of LEWD ACTS take on a new direction of sometimes progressive, drony, sometimes sludgy, but always melodic and well put together. Colored vinyl comes with a gatefold-sleeve with spot varnish and all the bells and whistles of a badass release.

PROGRESSIVE-HARDCORE. San Diego's GRIEVER formed from the ashes of LEWD ACTS and on this debut full-length expand on their sound of heavy, sludgy, and down-tuned yet melodic hardcore that is slow and melancholy, bringing elements of TORCHE and SABBATH with the depressed and negative lyricism of David Bazan. Vinyl includes a digital download card.

SLUDGE-METAL/HARDCORE. Hailing from Trieste, Italy, GRIME channel the essence of sludge and doom into an ugly, vitriolic, black cacophony. Their debut full-length will leave you with a sick and unsettling feeling deep in the recesses of your stomach, yet you will be unable to suppress the desire to bang your head into oblivion. GRIME's debut fits perfectly in any record collection next to EYEHATEGOD, IRON MONKEY, GRIEF and BUZZOV-EN. Featuring ex members of THE SECRET. Colored vinyl comes on heavy 180gr vinyl.

HARDCORE-PUNK. This is a reissue of GRIMPLE 's debut 7" from 1993. This 4 song 7" was originally issued in a limited quantity on Homemade Records, quickly went out-of-print, and became sought after by collectors paying sky high prices. Classic tracks of a deft fusion between abrasive hardcore-punk and the (then-emerging) Bay-Area pop-punk sound. Re-mastered and repressed in all it's gnarly cut'n'paste gluestick glory. Members of GRIMPLE have since played in BUZZOVEN, BRAINOIL, WATCH THEM DIE etc..

HARDCORE. GRINDINMG HALT showing some of the slower side of their set. You'll get 2 songs of which 1 is somewhat of a noisy hardcore song while the 2nd has a '90s mosh-feeling all over it. On the flipside there's DIET PILLS insanity. Hints of DYSTOPIA and JESUS LIZARD thrown in a blender. It's so heavy it makes you wonder how it would fit on the vinyl. Great dutch and uk team up!

PUNK-ROCK. One of "Germany's most-overlooked bands" releases their new anti-concept album. Rough, honest, slightly smoky and danceable in every second. The album sounds like an obeisance or return to musical heroes like RAMONES, NEW BOMB TURKS, TURBONEGRO or RIP OFFS - but always packed in own compositions and their very own GRIZZLY style. Limited to 300 copies.

HARDCORE. Amazing debut release from this San Diego band. This makes us think of a more pissed off CODE OF HONOR even though we hear tons of different influences in there. It's got that classic, reverby, Mystic Records-style production, but there's a slight metallic quality to the riffing that makes these guys lean a little more toward the DR. KNOW or R.K.L. side of things. End of all it's awesome played skate-hardcore from the best San Diego band since BATTALION OF SAINTS.

AMBIENT/DRONE. There are some groups who have such a distinct and defined sound that it’s hard to imagine them doing anything else. Picture GODSPEED YOU! BLACK EMPEROR trading their epic builds for the plods of a straight-ahead pop song, or finding some basement jams of SIGUR ROS doing polka songs - it just wouldn’t be right. GROWING’s sound is like nothing else - dense walls of noise that carry melodies so primal, they invoke pure, jarring emotion in the listener. That said, after over half a dozen releases, the band has decided to trade in their dense, melodic cacophony for something more reminiscent of the tribal rhythms of BLACK DICE. Granted, this isn’t pointing the band in a completely different direction, but the difference is enough to be fairly distracting on first listen. While it’s unlikely that GROWING will be a hit on dance floors anytime soon, the band’s newfound balance of pop and noise is truly praise-worthy.

DRONE/AMBIENT/NOISE-ROCK. GROWING return to that near-ambient tranquility, the record is a series of meandering excursions into massive slow-motion, melted-riff soundscapes, notes and chords unfurl impossibly slowly, as if someone had doubled the gravity and the sound waves were actually visible, drizzling lazily to the floor like molasses or honey, rich golden globs of thick distorted throb. Like EARTH and SKULLFLOWER meshed into one buzzing blurry soundfield, all muted melody and crunchy riffage, a pulsing swirl of feedback and guitarral grrrr! The sound is basically phenomenal. They play instrumental drone-rock with elements of noise and ambient music.
