time is punishment (2012/6131)
HARDCORE. To introduce the world to their recorded output, HARDSIDE offered up a, 7" in 2011 via 6131 Records. While serving as a great early taste of their potential, it's not until their full-length, "time is punishment", that the band fully realizes their music prowess. "time is punishment" exhibits a masterful blending of their hardcore roots with more metallic influences. HARDSIDE play a no-frills version of their favorite bands like MERAUDER and LEEWAY. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.
cro-mags (2016/MUSIC VIDEO)
HARDCORE. This album deliver 12 new tracks from founder of the CRO-MAGS, the always controversial HARLEY FLANAGAN. Brutality in the vein of the CRO-MAGS' "the age of quarrel" and "revenge", exploding with heavy intensity and pure anger. The return of the NYHC icon.
there's honey in the soil so we wait for the till (2013/DEATHWISH)
FOLK/INDIE/ACOUSTIC-ROCK. HARM WÜLF is the bedroom musical entity of G. Hirsch, known for his moving lyrical and vocal contributions in Philadelphia's BLACKLISTED. HARM WÜLF's debut album is a collection of songs that touch upon the dark and rustic themes of solitude and aging disappointment. Inspired by a wide range of artists: from the tranquil resonance of LOW, rhythmic acoustic strumming of STRENGTH TO JOY, to the insular, grotesque Americana of FLANNERLY O'CONNOR. Most times sparse and austere, others apocalyptically orchestrated, HARM WÜLF has the sound of something long since missing. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.
HARMONIA & ENO ´76
tracks and traces (2009/GRÖNLAND)
KRAUTROCK/ELECTRONIC. "tracks and traces" has a somewhat unusual birth cycle. After 2 albums, the pioneering German electronica/krautrock band HARMONIA had already discordantly split up when contacted by BRIAN ENO to have a jam. The trio reunited for some four-track recording with ENO, the results of which then sat in a vault for 20 years. (It was never intended for release, after all.) It was 1st edited and issued in 1997; this edition gives those tracks a remix and remaster and is considered by its creators to be definitive. "tracks and traces" is an exploration of inner and outer space that sounds as fresh and relevant now as it did 33 years ago.
HARDCORE/METAL. The evolution of HARMS WAY continues with "blinded". These 5 track are crusher from start to finish and are the heaviest and most adventurous so far - all of it fueled by a vitriol and pain that makes them stronger than all. Vinyl version includes a digital download card.
no gods no masters (2010/CLOSED CASKET ACTIVITIES)
HARDCORE/METAL. HARMS WAY's "no gods no masters" 7" features 5 songs from this up and coming Chicago hardcore/metal band. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.
reality approaches (2013/ORGANIZED CRIME)
HARDCORE/METAL. Take the ultra-violence of Clockwork Orange, mixed with the scathing, nihilistic and punishing sounds of early CARCASS and you'll start to get the idea of what HARMS WAY is trying to achieve. Continuing the mayhem that began with their 1st two 7" releases. "reality approaches" (originally released in 2010) is chaos incarnate played along a soundtrack of chainsaw guitars and machine gun drums. It's a raw, primal and devastating outlook on life coupled with an apocalyptic and furious sound that will leave the listener completely unsettled. Colored (white) vinyl includes a digital download card.
METAL/HARDCORE. "rust" is the new album from HARMS WAY. Brutal and meticulously refined, "rust" brilliantly combines industrial repetition (think GODFLESH), metal attack (think SEPULTURA, HELMET, CELTIC FROST) and hardcore aggression, showing that HARMS WAY has emerged from the wreckage of past genres as the new, high watermark of heavy in contemporary aggressive music. Opener "infestation" stomps with machine-like precision before plunging into a depressing sonic dirge, while songs like "law of the land" and others introduce guitar and electronic-driven atmospherics into the arsenal. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.
dead broke in the usa (2014/PIRATES PRESS)
OI/STREET-PUNK. From the remnants of Bay-Area bands THE BURDENS and ROMEO'S DEAD comes the brilliant new street-punk band HARRINGTON SAINTS. As 5 long-time friends who play with a chip on their shoulder, the HARRINGTON SAINTS' brand of nuts-and-bolts rock 'n' roll is gripping, intense and full of the realities of working-class life. With subject matter ranging from politics to pints at the pub with the boys, these guys grind out three-minute gems that get the point across like a boot to the ribs. upright citizen/let's go rob a bank (2014/PIRATES PRESS)
OI/STREET-PUNK. Often referred to as the "cream of the punk-rock crop" Northern California's street-punk/oi kings HARRINGTON SAINTS bring you the newest sounds of the street, "upright citizen" backed with "let's go rob a bank". Delivering their usual bombastic sound, this new single continues the tradition of hard driving music coupled with memorable, singalong hooks. HARRINGTON SAINTS prove once again, and deservingly so, why they are the gold standard of punk-rock. Colored vinyl includes a digital download card.
the last light (2004/PARTNERS IN CRIME)
HARDCORE-PUNK. "the last light" is 7 more smoking tracks from Portland's HARUM SCARUM. The sound is slightly different than on their previous releases. HARUM SCARUM has lost their singer and are on this release a three piece with the other members taking over the vocals. Still this LP is filled with catchy melodic hardcore-punk songs that certainly will not disappoint all the folks that have enjoyed their previous releases.
years of defiance, years of disgust (2011/GOOD FIGHT)
HARDCORE. HARVEST were a powerhouse of '90s chugga hardcore who helped establish the sound that would launch Indecision and Trustkill Records. After disbanding, members went on to form THE HOPE CONSPIRACY and carry on their legacy. This colored 7" is their 1st recorded material in over a decade.
in a dark tongue (2010/BURNING WORLD/NEUROT)
POST-ROCK. HARVESTMAN is the brainchild of NEUROSIS vocalist/guitarist Steve Von Till, who considers "in a dark tongue" a venture into an imagined past. The album is inspired by HAWKWIND, TANGERIME DREAM, SKULLFLOWER, and LOOP, among others. It is a massive meeting point of styles and influences, all of which boil down to a surreal and inspired sound. From one sonic mindfuck to the next, "in a dark tongue" is requisite heady metal: a seamless rearrangement of psychedlic, drone and noise into a brand-new form that never gives up its pagan infatuation with rhythm.
