A big step up for them as well, throwing in a strong dark influence with twisted hooks and desperate lyrical content. On their 1st two 7"s, Umea, Sweden's INSTÄNGD made a name for themselves by pounding out some of the rawest and snottiest early '80s-inspired hardcore around, and they continue that trend on this 7". This time around, the production is a little clearer with a more powerful drum sound and a biting, obnoxious, yet clear, guitar sound, but the music is still all about the primitiv energy. You'll get 6 songs that will have you confused about whether to hum along or just punch yourself in the face. 7" includes a MP3 download card.

HARDCORE-PUNK. Sweden's INSTÄNGD are a new band featuring members of REGULATIONS and TRISTESS, but they don't sound anything like the melodic-punk of those bands. On "Mitt svar pa ingenting", INSTANGD take as their main influence old, barbaric scandinavian hardcore-punk like HEADCLEANERS, HUVUDTVATT, MISSBRUKARNA, or S.O.D. (the swedish one). If you need a less obscure comparison, URBAN WASTE would make a good reference point since this has a completely blown-out, blistering guitar sound and catchy, punk-as-shit vocals. Needless to say, this 6 song rager destroys everything in its path.

The band has come a long way from last years "Straight edge failure" album on Tankcrimes. Members of BORN/DEAD, STRUNG UP, and front man John the Baker still challenging the punks with confrontation and support rolled in one. The classic hardcore-punk sound is somewhere between MDC, DEAD KENNEDYS and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. So grab your drink and be an INSTANT ASSHOLE too, but you probably already are.

POST-ROCK. INSTRUMENT is a Munich based post-rock band. They formed out of the ashes of COSMIC CASINO. On their self-titled debut they serve 9 fantastic tracks. Soundwise it's a beautiful mixture of OCEANSIZE post-rock and MOTORPSYCHO psycho-prog-rock. This is an album that explores every emotion, sweeping the listener up in its beauty, its wholeness, and its musical greatness. The limited to 600 copies DoLP is hand-numbered and comes with a bonustrack, a nice silk-screen cover and a MP3 download code.

PUNK-ROCK. Still retaining some of that Southern California beach punk influence as shown on the 7" and demo, the band has also taken more additional cues from the real surf-rock genre, KBD punk and obscure rock 'n' roll in general. Its hard to describe it really apart from a few obvious nods and this record does stand on it's own. This band is part of the very amazing Rotcore scene, for the uninitiated that's Rochester NY. Look it up because they're churning out some gems. Per band's request there is no color vinyl, insted nostalgic full-color brown interior cardstock covers.

DOOM-HARDCORE. Finally coming up with their 1st full-length, this multicultural band creates an ugly bastard of BLACK SABBATH metal, hardcore and sample-loaded atmospherical noise passages. Sheer heavy riffs, punishing drums and stomach-deep bass-humming over which a tortured female voice expresses both hate and desperation roll slowly, but unstoppable towards the overwhelmed listener.
